Good. Now, let's go watch PSG versus Real Madrid.

Not sure whether anybody here agrees with me that PSG (even without Neymar) are going to eliminate Real Madrid.

Criticism is not equal to hatred. I would not spend 2 hours watching an NPFL team if i hated the league so much. I did not watch any European champions league game but i watched Plateau United play.

The same way, i watched Rangers and Rivers United last year.

My position on the league has been the same for a long time, the standard needs to improve. It does not mean that we do not have good players. We have always produced good players and will continue to.

Our league has the potential to be as good as the Brazilian league with the number of raw talents we have but our league does not provide the platform for players to reach that potential. Many talented players depreciate, others go abroad to start football education from the basics.

Today, we saw an example of a talented side who started with the wrong approach and were 3:0 down before 10 minutes.

Honestly i wanted to ask why you hate anything related to home especially football but good you came out to put it straight.

Sir based on your last paragraph,it happens and it's not peculiar to NPFL teams alone cos we have seen world class coaches making tactical errors and they were punished for it

I was surprised when you made the statement earlier about Odey because i know i have been critical of several non NPFL players.

I was very critical of Awoniyi at some point but i also praised him when i saw evidence of improvement.Awoniyi was not an NPFL player.

Immediately, one talks of NPFL , the next thing is that he hates NPFL.

For the standard of plays in the local league (NPFL) to improve, then the coaching standard must improve. Our local coaches need more exposition to top refined coaching courses... CAF C, CAF B is not enough. We need to step up the coaching standard of our coaches.

Look, there will be no improvement in the standard of plays unless our coaches upgrade and unless we enforce a particular coaching standard requirement higher than CAF B sef!!! What is a CAF B licensed coach doing coaching in the NPFL?? We need to step up things higher seriously!

But this is just one part out of much to still do. If we can get the coaching standard right, then some of our bright talents can be refined here to a good extent.... but again financial packaging of the league comes in too. If the players must stay for a while, omo, we need to step up the financial standards too....

Lots and lots need be done.... hopefully we will get there.

TheSuperNerd did you known why our coaches will always receiving bashing and knocks.

I don't expect any coach to drop Ezenwa or Ajiboye on the bench based on their experience with national team.

This is more reasons foreign coaches would always have an edge. They don't joke with their first choice unless on injury or card situation.

In NPFL they changed keeper like clothes, one for home the other for away,so how do we get a good keeper for national team.

Truly Odah had a great start this season but that should not give him an edge in this particular match, not blaming the young man but the coach.

Sometimes they got carried away with little show, remember how Oliseh benched Mikel for Onobi, craziness.

My man don't be offended, personally i don't rate home based but i just believe we need to keep on encouraging them, going to the root you would not blame the players.

Pls check it out,Omoyele did not make CHAN despite showing great class during NPFL invitational tournament.

Age Discrepancy – NPFL Top Scorer Lokosa Disagrees With Kano Pillars Over His Real Age

A mild disagreement over the true age of red hot Kano Pillars striker Junior Lokosa is currently going on between the present top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and the Kano based team.

Lokosa who has scored ten goals for from eleven games this season in the NPFL had trials in Norway three years ago before joining Kano Pillars last season from Lagos based side First Bank Football Club.

The striker on his part said he is 24 years old while Pillars officially claim that he is 22 years old. A fact backed by the player’s league licence signed by the player for registration in the NPFL.

Despite the confusion over his true age, there is no confusion over his ability to put the ball in the back of net judging by his present streak in the NPFL, which could see him shatter the NPFL record of 23 goals a season scored by Mfon Udoh of Enyimba three seasons ago.

As opposed to many top scorers in the Nigeria Professional Football League in past seasons, Lokosa have scored just once from the spot unlike most top scorers in the league in previous seasons, who rely more on penalties to grow their tally.
Already tipped to leave the Kano side for a team abroad, it is believed that Lagos born Lokosa who is now the darling of the Kano Pillars faithfuls isn’t keen on representing Nigeria at youth level, as he is more concerned about taking his trade abroad.

Official – Rohr Calls Up 28 Players For Super Eagles March Friendlies, Two CHAN Eagles Selected

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have stepped up their preparations for the World Cup 2018 in Russia with confirmation from the coach Gernot Rohr that a total of 28 players have been called up for their first set of friendly games later this month.

The Eagles will trade tackles with Poland before taking on Serbia in another pre World Cup friendly as Rohr looks to put his team in shape before the start of the World Cup in June.

Speaking in a chat witnessed by Owngoalnigeria.com, the coach confirmed that 28 players will make the squad for the upcoming friendly games, with two players from the CHAN team included in the list.

”I am going to have a list of 28 players for the two games and there will be two players from the CHAN team of Morocco. I was there I saw all the games”, Rohr said in Lagos during the interview.

” I was living with them and my assistant Yusuf (Salisu) did a big job with Alloy (Agu), the goalkeeper trainer and also the medical staff, they did very well with Imama also. So it’s the same squad I have with me in my world cup.

“We are sure the informations are always first class informations. And then yes, so I will believe two players will be in the list, they can have a chance”, the coach concluded.

Imagine, the club might be encouraging the player to reduce his age for market purpose, younger players are easier to sell abroad.

That was the same "hate" tag placed on me all through the CHAN because I don't condone nonsense football.

Some of us have come a long way in the followership of the local league. We know how it was and we know how it is now.

The league is in a sorry state.

No hate tag can stop me from saying things the way they are.

Hate my comments from here to the moon and back.

He's done fairly well for the super eagles for years now and even during the qualifiers. if he was so bad, he would have been dropped since. how come all coaches keep calling him or are you saying they don't know if he's good or not?
I am not saying he's a bad player though. But in essence he isn't among the best right now and I am sure the coache is aware of this.

And I'm really baffled the way you're being so economical with the truth.

Thank God you're not Rohr, it would have been the same old story for our dear SE team.

The other player could be Kalu Orji. He was solid in defence till the disaster in the final.

Osadebamwem Okoro...decent performance, good crosses and again till the final match.

Gabriel Okechukwu.

I think as a veteran you should understand better,so asking me am i satisfied with the league or CHAN team is not the issue.

Hope you read TheSuperNerd post on NPFL,that's it.The post was a balance one not telling us the league is not good blabla.......
