I wanted to invest in that stock last month but Morgan gave me a warning about their listing when I clicked buy.

I guess u are probably referring to the notification of below listing standard (BLS). ...which is part of the small matter of coys with a less than 20% free float.
Well that isn't much of a problem. ...for the likes of Union bank, Transcorp hotel, E-transact, Champion breweries to mention just a few are all in the same boat.
However, CAVERTON seems to be the coy with the least % deficiency amongst all. ...It has just 2.6% deficiency, with about 17.4% of its outstanding shares now freely floated.

Yes its a small matter that contributes to the illiquid nature of the stock, but its not a problem for Mr TIME.
...For he is already working on it !! wink cheesy

You are right boss. A friend in fidelity told me CBN asked his team to take 1B naira provision in the oil and gas accounts he was managing. Na this one make my liver cut ooo. The guy had to dispose most of his banking stocks to key into Tbills until clarity is seen.

NB: I am not asking anyone to sell or buy any banking stocks ooo, i just thought of sharing what i heard from him here.

This is good news, as the result will be less smoky.

That news means that we should stop buying any illiquid stocks now because the main food is about to be served.

With this news, banking stocks will be buy 1 and get 3 free.

My pillows and mattress are marching and doing warm up.

There is nothing new here. Some banks results were rejected last year for representation to the CBN.

Are you saying that Access is amongst them? Access should have released her results on the 5th of March and it is 7th now.

I mentioned about Fidelity some weeks ago and poor provisioning. I know money is only made in Nigeria by rising prices, but, there is value in avoiding losses where possible if you are an INVESTOR. This information does not apply to TRADERS who typically execute by Reaction rather than Action.

Why should access release its result on that day?
They sure know how the whole thing works.
When you have not satisfied the CBN, there is no point in going to town to tell people you are going to release result on so and so date. CBN is not a rubber stamp.

Hello guys, please I have a question, I don't know much about shares/stock. A friend bought shares from zenith bank far back as 2004, bought 2000units. And wants to sell now, will it be profitable? And how much profitability?

I get your point.

No wonder CBN reiterated the Dividend policy and stressed it that all banks will abide by it.

That means dividends will elude us.

Imagine Zenith and Gtb declaring N1 final dividend. The market go scatter. It will herald the greatest of Bears ever witnessed on the exchange.

Not necessarily. Seplat paid no dividend and they are waxing stronger.

Once the explanation is sufficient, the drop might not be much.

Else....
