Yes, few times, I see him more as a support striker or a winger than a CF. We have just one natural CF on the list.
MetalJigsaw:
Have you watched him play before? how good is he?

Omo, have you seen them play together before? So how did you reach this conclusions

O pari

One question @ Opari Master.

If both players play in the system I stated above, who among them will sit deep to cover the defence?

Is it Ndidi who is a ball fighter or an offensive Joel who is a box to box player?

Note: I am not writing their combo off as you're insinuating, I am only trying to forsee what could happen-just like anyother analyst will do(I might be wrong or right as my assumptions are base on what have seen-the players style of play.

My first statement tells u about my admiration for the combo and the last statement suggest possible measures that can make the combo work.

COOL10:
. Mehn, the excitement of the vast number of very talented players we now have goes all the way to my bones. grin . I don't think I've ever been this excited about a SE team before. Joel Obi's return is a dream come true for me. U're quite right about Onyekwuru's slim chances but I still believe he'll make it. That move he made against Algeria just made me fall in love with his style of play. I was so happy for Ideye's transfer but it seems like Malaga will get relegated which will require another move except he wants to stay.

It's now so clear that our bench will be filled with hungry talented players cheesy. Now that's a dream team. cool.
I thought I was the only one that observed this. I believe he'd have made the list if not for injury.

The 1994 WC team was a counter attacking side.

could they be said to be good in counter attacks? what I meant was not whether they were structured to be a counter attacking side but if they efficient in it..only finidi's goal against Greece would I consider a counter attacking goal.

Actually, Joel can play as a deep playing playmaker. He's quite versatile. I have seen him play LWB and even LWF at Inter Milan. However, I do understand where you're coming. Like I had stated elsewhere, if Joel Obi gatecrashes the team and we have to bench Onazi then someone has to convince Mikel to play the DM.

Listen, I am NOT recommending that those players be invited. In fact, if you look around you'll see where I affirmed that Rohr has invited the best players available to him at this time. I was just saying that if Rohr were to invite any additional players after these two friendly matches, then it gotta be from that list because those folks were already in his program.

O pari

Pls which Nwakili?Osimhen invitation on what ground,Alampasu should go to lower league and have games.Hope Oyekwuru recover on time to fight for a place.

I think Ideye and Kayode just need to shake up in the remaining part of the season.

Martins has lost out cos is not even in the consideration.

Nah, I have never been a big fan of Ideye. He misses way too many chances for any coach to prefer him ahead of players like Nacho, Iwobi, Simon, Musa, or Ighalo. And I have watched Kayode a few times in La Liga, frankly, I don't see what he could offer that the players we already have in camp can't offer.

I will declare Kayode a surplus to requirement at this time.

convincing mikel to go back to DM will take some doing..moreover I think he is playing his best football ever for eagles now that he has been pushed to AM which was his first love anyway before mourinho appeared in his life..he also seems happy playing that position

Nigeria U20s To Call Up Players From Academies & NNL, Foreign Pros For Camping

Abubakar Bala, who is standing in for Nigeria U20 Head Coach Paul Aigbogun, has revealed that the Flying Eagles’ preparation for the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers will be in three phases.
22 out of the 30 players invited for this first phase of camping are currently sweating it out in Abuja for a chance to represent Nigeria.
''We have penciled down 15 players but we want to make the screening in phases,'' Bala told
allnigeriasoccer.com .

''We are making the screening in three phases. The first phase will be 30 players of only the Premier League teams
''The second phase we are bringing another 28 players from National League, Academies and amateur players then the last phase after selecting the Premier League players and selecting the few we get from the amateur and Academy players to form the core team.

''We will see where we are lacking and from there we invite our European players that are within the age of twenty.''
Nigeria will face either Guinea Bissau or Sierra Leone in the second round of the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualifiers, with the first leg to be played on 11-13 May and the second leg a week later.

bengine:

In that game, Tottenham dominated Juventus until around the 60min mark when asamoah came in for juventus to make it a 3-5-2 formation..initially both teams where using 433 formation..Tottenham didn't adapt well to the change in formation and pretty much lost the midfield. Juventus started using the wingbacks a lot when attacking which means there was constantly an overload due to the wingbacks..this created space for juventus to do the damage...

If u watch that game well, there was no way juventus would have won that game, Tottenham was just stronger in terms of team play..their coach failed to adapt to the new formation on time and they paid for it dearly..they conceeded 2goals in 5mins after juventus made this change..

Anyone that wants to learn impact of a formation change on a team should watch the first 30mins of that second half..

Excellently said....

I think there is something going wrong between ANS and Simon...probably a deal between both went wrong...

Gent Nigerian Duo Simon & Esiti Expose Super Eagles Strengths To Croatian Teammate

Gent Nigerian pair Anderson Esiti and Moses Simon have been discussing the 2018 World Cup Group D fixture between Nigeria and Croatia with their teammate, goalkeeper Lovre Kalinić
Lovre Kalinić, 27, is expected to be named to Croatia's roster for the tournament in Russia as backup to first-choice goalie, Monaco's Danijel Subasic, who started the last six matches played by the national team.

These days, Esiti is not in the plans of the Super Eagles coaching staff led by Gernot Rohr but Simon has been called up for the friendlies against Poland and Serbia this month.
''I have the impression of being underestimated by Nigerians, and I have Simon and Esiti in the club, two young Nigerian players who are already great players,'' Kalinic told
Sportske Novosti.

''Guys are powerful and fast, but very responsible, quality players and they say to us that this is how the whole team is.
''So any one-and-a-half percent looser approach ahead of the match with Nigeria can be crazy.''
Argentina and Iceland complete the teams in Group D at the 2018 World Cup.

Good point. But if Onazi is going to start on the bench, we gonna need an intelligent player with good match reading and anticipation skills to provide cover in the DM. Or else, a technically sound team would carve us apart. That's what happened to us in 1998 World Cup vs Demark - Sunday Oliseh was MIA in that match, and Demark had a free reign.

The other day Sir Tbaba1234 also showed us the preposterous stuffs being said about Simon by ANS. They just wanna spoil his good name in the Eagles colors and possibly threaten his WC chances with bad press. Kolewerk!!! angry

I think national team is far different from club side.

Rohr would be determinant not the players,as you said pushing Mikel back to DM is out of it.If i may ask for what,to accommodate Joel Obi,honestly we should take it easy on Joel.

A quick advice to my fellow eagulians

I. If you don't want to be a father yet, don't creamp1e even if you keep your nuts hanging out, Instead you can cream pie her assssshole smiley

II. Let her sit on your face before you teabag unless it smells like rotten fish or it is a thick forest angry

III. Once the snail is already slimy, you can put just the mushroom tip inside but don't explode inside even though it's too sweet shocked

IV. Never keep your nuts hanging out for too long unless you will mistakenly put your akamu inside the pot embarassed

V. Then you can decide to bury the hammer so deep that the next explorer would think it was a dagger cool
