My brother Ghana has a lot to celebrate.

Constant power supply and vibrant economy and currency which is now 75 naira for one cedi is enof to celebrate.

They don't have constant power and their economy isn't vibrant. Stop fooling yourself.
Their economy is even too small to begin with. I wonder whether you guys understand how this works. Regardless of the 75naira to 1 cedi Naija's economy is more than 10times bigger and stronger than Ghana's economy. You can't even compare. Compare Naija to Sa or Egypt.

Some days was Ghana’s Independence Day and various congratulatory messages was received, but not all of its citizens are happy like actor, John Dumelo.

The actor took to his instagram page to share his views why Ghana don't deserve to celebrate independence, say caption below....

Just hear yourself out. "Nigeria economy is bigger" You think the vibrancy of an economy depends on size?

It's about the standard of living, access to infrastructure and social amenities and the percentage of unemployment in a country.

Can you compare your country Nigeria to Ghana in regard to the afore mentioned.

My sister kiss the truth. Ghana has gone ahead of us in term of development and growth.

Size would has been an advantage to us. But religious bigotry, regional interest as against national interest, bad government and disunity wont let us

But in my country, out yeyebrity would rather sing baby and yansh, slay and go naked on Instagram, flunt cars etc., instead of standing up tall for the poor masses.
Dem send ur papa make u poor?
if Fela was an advocate for the poor, how many schools did he build with his money?
guy u better wise up, Dumelo wey dey shout, how many of those hungry people has he fed? Na for them to just shout and rant on the net when most of the so called celebrities are far richer than most politicians.

You mean the Cedi is more valuable than the Naira? That's not correct.

The true value of a currency is in it purchasing power. Don't forget that the Cedi was re-denominated a few years ago.

It is the same as saying that the Cedi is more valuable than the Yen, as 1 Cedi is equivalent to 24 Japanese Yen.

But Japan is one of the top 10 economies of the world and Ghana is not. These things aren't evaluated on face value. You need to understand its workings.

Nigerians are funny always talking about the size of economy forgetting that its not about the size but what u do with it that matters. What is the use of having a big economy whilst your people wallow in poverty.

So Dumelo has suddenly become a patriot who has his nation at heart.. wonders shall never end.. After you n ur cohorts illegally accepted government vehicles from the erstwhile Mahama's administration with the sole aim to campaign for his reelection but lost woefully n was busted afterwards trying to respray it to avoid suspicion but all thanks to the chassis number, by the task force established to retrieve all stolen government vehicles of the then Mahama's administration by the current government, u still av the guts to talk simply because u were not locked behind bars...I still remember vividly how dis guy in a state of diaphoresis tried unsuccessfully to find words to purge himself...The case is not dead yet, very soon u ll be called to face the special prosecutor n the rigors of the law.

He never realise all these problems in ghana before he stole 2 v8?

What I knw is that before if I enter Ghana with only 20k and convert it to cedis I had a lot of money to spend
But now the reverse is the case. The value of money is dependent on what it can purchase.
Even here in Nigeria naira had no value again thansks to the cow from daura who had made sure naira come less valuable.

My brother irrespective of its size has gone farther than Nigeria. Kiss the truth.

My brother, nobody gets an award for being ignorant.

Ghana recalibrated their currency. That means 1000Cedi is now equal to 1Cedi. The zeros are off on the face value but in reality this does not reflect in purchasing power.

I gave you a simple instance; 1Cedi is 24Yen, so is the Ghana Cedi more valuable than the Japanese Yen? Tell me.

Perhaps, you should get more education on how currencies are valued globally.

Bringing the Nigerian trademark of analysing things based on ethnicity or religion has no effect on subjects like this.

I won't touch the President Buhari side you mentioned as I don't think everything should be about politics. But if you want me to, respond by saying so.

you guys putting that promise mike in his place, are doing a wonderful job. alot of nigerians are cynics like him and thats why i dont even bother to reapond to them. i have tried many times here on niraland to educate people more on subjects like this but i got tired.

well, i dont blame him, neither do i blame the govt. i simply blame the media for flooding the airwaves with only news of boko haram and dapchi girls amd have completely neglected one of their major roles, which is to educate the public on issues like this.

stoopid media we have!
