A question for the super analysts......

How does one really neutralize a 3-5-2 formation? Is it really infallible? What formation is guaranteed to effectively counter it and render it useless?

Kenneth Otigba Switches Allegiance Back To Hungary

Ferencvaros of Hungarys Nigerian Defender Kenneth Otigba has been named into the Hungarian Squad for upcoming friendly games with Manager Gorges Leekens confirming his switch of allegiance

Otigba was Born in Kaduna to a Nigerian dad and Hungarian mum making him eligible to play for both countries

The 25 year old defender has several times in the past openly voiced his desire to play for Nigeria despite playing for Hungary at youth level

Reports then suggested he was seriously being considered for the Super Eagles with coach Gernot Rohr said to be planning to visit Turkey to further asses the player

However the player was never invited and from all indications seems he has gotten tired of waiting on the Nigerian Authorities

Hungarian national manager Georges Leekens announced a 37 man provisional squad for games against Kazakhstan and Scotland with six players from Ferencvaros among which include Kenneth Otigba

Manager Georges Leekens is quoted as saying on Hungarian website valogatott :

“I think the biggest surprise in the list is Otigba Kenneth’s name”

“ I contacted him and we talked for a long time because I wanted to know if you would like to play in the Hungarian national team with the whole heart to help the national team.”

“As he replied yes, I invited him to the frame as well because I think I can benefit the team, but I also think of all the other players in the frame.”

Otigba is yet to comment publicly on the Invitation

CHELSEA SET TO SWOOP FOR ROMA’S YOUNG NIGERIAN STARLET
BY TIM GARRETT
IN PREMIER LEAGUE,TRANSFERS - 20:00 MAR 8TH 2018

For young players in the modern game, it’s increasingly common for a loan move away from their parent club to be required in order for them to make their name. High-profile stars such as Harry Kane and Jesse Lingard are currently profiting from following this path in England, and the trend is being followed across the continent.

21-year-old Nigerian U23 international Umar Sadiq is one such player currently thriving on loan. Having been starved of opportunities at AS Roma in the early stages of this season, he made his move to NAC Breda of the Eredivisie at the end of January and hasn’t looked back since.

Sadiq may have only appeared 5 times for his new side, but reports in Italy suggest that he has already done enough to alert the attentions of Chelsea, such has been his impact.
Prior to his arrival, NAC had just a 19% win ratio as they toiled at the wrong end of the table, but that has rocketed up to 40% for the matches in which Sadiq has appeared, making his influence clear for all to see.

Athletic and technically gifted, there’s no reason to believe Sadiq would be anything other than a success in the English game, and if his current form continues, Roma may well find that it’s not just Chelsea who come knocking at their door.

When I said this kid was better and more talented than Tammy, some misguided fellows tagged me an anti English players. Now his parent club has just confirmed it by eyeing my boy instead of bringing back Tammy from loan grin

what really matter is not the formation but the tactics nd the way you deploy it and surely that would be with respect to the said team strength and weakness..

The major key remains to exploit the gaps left behind the Wing backs.

Firstly, you need fast paced wingers.
Secondly, you need good ball passing midfielders with good eyes for space.

Go watch Argentina's second goal in the last friendly, Pavon exploited the gap left behind Aina who was in a no man's land.

A traditional 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 with players with qualities described above will do it.

A 3 Man fronline as in 4-3-3 will add to the number of attackers that will engage the 3CB who would ordinarily crowd out a lone striker from a 4-5-1 formation.

I will never argue with anyone that tammy is better than this kid or no,thou umar sadiq has not played much game in his carrier.

Tammy is not a good player, people want him in the national team because he is brought up in england, most people on this thread think anybody brought up in england is good enough, now tammy is stuck on the bench of swansea,he cannot even bench jordan ayew,Tammy is not that a good player, that is how one guy here is making noise that seyi ojo is good enough for super eagles, the guy is just making mockery of him self.

The guy rejected playing in the last euros waiting for us to invite him. It's not like we've had Nesta and Baresi for him not to even make the bench. Oh well...

I know this kind of comment will come up.

The issue is not being average or his quality but he waa ready to play for Nigeria which should be commendable in the first place.

Nigeria doesn't need him should not arise or he can't make the team not the issue but for showing great willingness is a plus.

I can tell you as at the time Otigba was ready to pledge allegiance to Nigeria, him and Ekong were at par but Super eagles invitation changed Ekong game drastically not club football.

Ekong failed to get a regular shirt in lowly Belgian league,so you cannot say what would have become of Otigba in GWG despite being average cos bunch of eagles defenders are average as individuals but not as a team.

Pls guys let us be analytical in our views.

My comment on Otigba is just simple to understand and who to displace is not the issue.

Uche Agbo keep on getting invitation but very glaring who is he going to displace, does that stop his invitation.

Now Eze,pls tell me who Eze is going to displace.but good for him

Nwakili got invitation but did he displaced anyone

So capping Otigba is not about who is going to displace.

He! waited for Nigeria to come for him because he knew fully well that Nigeria is a bigger football nation to Hungary.

Ekong could be average as you labelled gim but he's still way above Otigba nevertheless.

Nobody was saying losing Otigba Nigerians should go and die

Oh Omeruo regular, yes he should be cos it would be a disgrace for a WC player like Omeruo to sit on the bench.

I thought Ekong was warming the bench in Belgian league before he moved to Turkey for regular playing time.

I think Onazi is more of a bench warmer this season

Experience Elderson Echiejele failed to make the cut in the same Turkish league now in Belgian 2nd division.

Yes Nigeria is a great football than Hungary just like we are better than Austria (Alaba)and Switzerland (Akanji)

My point is not about Otigba quality or his country but not always happy seeing Nigerians playing for another countries.Simple.

errrm it is inevitable in football..you cant always cap every player who has dual nationality or is qualified to play for two or more countries..once in a while one escapes the radar(maybe due to not showing much promise earlier or the coach at any point when the player is willing not fancing him)
