Otigba could have played in the Olympics... When we were managing useless defenders like Ndifreke and playing Sincere Seth, a right back at center back.. The boy was passionate about Nigeria..
you're absolutely right. We were busy making use of make shift players at the Olympics when we have players like Otigba who could have partnered Troost then at heart of the defence had it been Sia1 extended a hand gesture to him and that could have changed the whole story just like that of Troost...

Imagine Tammy Abraham changing allegiance back to Nigeria.

Otigba rejected an invite from Hungary to play for Nigeria even without assurances from Nigeria.

If Otigba bribed media houses and others to write glowing articles about him, perhaps he would have gotten invited.. Already, we see articles calling for Taye Taiwo, Austin elide etc to be invited for the world cup.

This same Nigeria invited players like Austin Oboaropkpo.

At the time, he declared for Nigeria, we did not have that many 'crude talents' at the level of playing for Nigeria. He was certainly better than some of the players that we were parading. On merit, he deserved to be invited.

The point is simple, he deserved a call-up. Players with less ability were called up several times. It has nothing to do with where he was born.

We have to come to the realization that the so-called 'foreign born' are also Nigerians.

Do you know, how many people have been denied because of corruption in the system?

In a merit driven system, the best will be chosen. Even our federal character model does not incentivize merit.

We were carrying Agbim and Egwueke up and down when we had Aluko and Otigba

. What can I say? That's how the average Nigerian thinks. Always thinking of what to eat today and today alone. Very myopic and selfish. It's a shame. Just look at how Rohr came and changed everything just because he has a different and better mindset. I just hope the Nigerian assistants are learning from him. Kudos to the NFF also. Pinnick has done a lot. For the first time in a long time it feels like we now have a TEAM both on and outside the pitch. Hopefully more like minded people will be employed and the unrepentant corrupt ones, sacked. God help us.

A quick advice to my fellow eagulians

I. If you don't want to be a father yet, don't creamp1e even if you keep your nuts hanging out, Instead you can cream pie her assssshole smiley

II. Let her sit on your face before you teabag unless it smells like rotten fish or it is a thick forest angry

III. Once the snail is already slimy, you can put just the mushroom tip inside but don't explode inside even though it's too sweet shocked

IV. Never keep your nuts hanging out for too long unless you will mistakenly put your akamu inside the pot embarassed

V. Then you can decide to bury the hammer so deep that the next explorer would think it was a dagger cool

Hahaha, smiley grin

The same point I was trying to make earlier.

Why expect foreign born players to be world class players before inviting them, when if you want to look at it critically we don't have an abundance of world class players in our team.

Oga calm down, we can't loose omidiji to the US not under Pinnick and Barr Seyi Akinwunmi's era. Do you know what has been put in place to ensure he plays for Nigeria, or you think inviting him for the Super Eagles unveiling was just mere formalities? Lol is part of the process Oga.

Good point, but I doubt it tho. I mean, players who are already in the system (Onyekuru, Osimhen, Alampasu, or Nwakali) could possibly still get an invite for the subsequent matches, but I won't expect Rohr to start reconsidering folks like Martins, Kayode, and Ideye at this stage.

O pari

Your bias mind is legendary.

You mean Nwakali who has played zero match is in the system while Kayode who has played 3 matches for SE is not in the system?

You mean Onyekuru who has only played just 1 match is in the system but Kayode who has played 3 times for the Super Eagles is not in the system!?

So, Osimhen with one cap is in the system but Kayode is not despite more games for the Super Eagles!?

Na wa ooooooo.

Some people can be bias ooooooo.

Martins is more in the system than Onyekuru and Nwakali. GBAM

Moreover, there is no automatic shirt for Ighalo and nacho yet. The friendlies will determine their fate.

Actually, Joel can play as a deep playing playmaker. He's quite versatile. I have seen him play LWB and even LWF at Inter Milan. However, I do understand where you're coming. Like I had stated elsewhere, if Joel Obi gatecrashes the team and we have to bench Onazi then someone has to convince Mikel to play the DM.

O pari

Mikel Obi should not be played in the DMF role because he is better for us as an AM. He's at his peak now.

Listen, I am NOT recommending that those players be invited. In fact, if you look around you'll see where I affirmed that Rohr has invited the best players available to him at this time. I was just saying that if Rohr were to invite any additional players after these two friendly matches, then it gotta be from that list because those folks were already in his program.

O pari

Which program?

Nah, I have never been a big fan of Ideye. He misses way too many chances for any coach to prefer him ahead of players like Nacho, Iwobi, Simon, Musa, or Ighalo. And I have watched Kayode a few times in La Liga, frankly, I don't see what he could offer that the players we already have in camp can't offer.

I will declare Kayode a surplus to requirement at this time.

O pari

Who told you Ideye misses chances?

We are talking about having 3 CFs going to the world Cup and you are talking about Iheanacho, Simon and Musa.

These are not CFs. We need 3 center forwards with a difference.

You claimed you watched Kayode a few times and your own TV didn't show you he won MOTM.

I believe he didn't impress you in that particular match because your didn't see anything but those who get eyes saw what he did and gave him MOTM.

Oga, the national team is not the property of Iheanacho and Ighalo. If Kayode, Ideye and Martins performance goes unnoticed while Iheanacho and Ighalo feel cool without given their all in their various clubs then they deserves a call-up.
