Some were good/decent.. One was wayward.. In terms of crossing, Aina is the best crosser.

The bolded is of the reasons I said Shehu is the odd man out in that right back battle. He's got a mountain to climb and I'm loving it (the competition).

Just imagine Umar ahead of Kelechi, flanked by two wing wizards like onyekuru, Moses, Simon, iwobi, or a healthy Bazee. This is post Russian but feasible in Cameroun to start with.

One commentator just said "that Umar guy is a nightmare to Eredivisie defenders" lol barely two months after joining them.

They will now downgrade Eredivisie because it is Umar showing his stuffs but when Solanke was with Vittesse, the league was hyped to high heavens.

I will keep bursting ur bubbles grin

Great fight by Ebuehi's team even with 10 men but the damage has been done.

Rohr is a blessing to Nigerian football.

Look at the moves of Nigerian players, this winter..

Shehu Abdullahi moved to a better league
Musa back to Russia
Ideye, Etebo, Success, to la liga
Kayode left where he was not playing
Elderson found a new club where he can at least play

Everyone is looking to get active. On of the best transfer windows for Nigerian players.

In 2014, we carried a Rueben Gabriel who had not played football for 2 years to the WC. This is the difference between local coaches and foreign coaches. The coach pushed them to get active before the WC.

Hmmm your last paragraph drew my attention and i want to say foreign coaches are better,no need for comparison.

Oh Reuben Gabriel not played for two years taken to WC by Keshi but can you tell me where Westerhoff saw Mike Emenalo prior to US 94.

I think no need to always berating our local coaches just to rate foreign ones cos we already knew foreign coaches are better.

I still remember how a rooted local coach Shuaib Amodu saved us by qualifying for WC after the foreign one nearly denied us the opportunity.

Emenalo was playing in Germany at the time, i believe. Reuben was not even playing football..

Keshi's selections were sometimes very baffling. Siasia's Olympic team, also very baffling, Oliseh, baffling..

You might disagree with some players called by Rohr but as a whole, the best Nigerian players bar a few are on the team.

Amodu, Keshi, Siasia and Oliseh are very good coaches though.

Yes Emenalo played for Eintracht Trier in Germany,a regional league and prior to US 94 was clubless, meaning is not about local coaches but personality.

I want to tell you Rohr is getting it right just cos he is sincere or do you want us to dig out atrocities of some foreign managers who handled eagles.

How can Ezeh be dropped?

He's been picked already and if Rohr wants, he can call Ojinta too, there is nothing anyone on this thread can do.

Having said that, some of you have personal vendetta against some people here. Una comments dey expose una wella.

I tell you. As if they had fight before and trying to settle score. God go dey them. It is small world not time hating

Did you know when Ebere Eze was called alongside Aina and Akpom to train with the Eagles, komekn criticized that action saying that bringing Ebere was an insult to the National team, but today Ebere looks like the next big thing and no one wants to acknowledge that foresight of Pinnick and Rohr.

I don't forget easily, hence I will keep bursting their bubbles grin

That Mahrez assist was too clean.

Modified
I meant Iheanacho's assist for Mahrez

tbaba1234:
Iheanacho, one of the top performers even though, he did not start.

As usual, Ndidi leading in the tackles department.

He was always called upon when things were down, and most of the time never failed.

I agree.. and let's not forget playing philosophy.. Just as club coaches look for certain kind of players to buy, national team coaches look for certain kind of players to invite SOMETIMES.

With all honesty, I don't like seeing this guy standing in the way for better players with his so called experience. Experience that keeps him on the bench is not the kind of experience the current Super Eagles need. He is not living up to expectation in the National team, same with his Club, they should just forget this guy for the general and future good of the team. Imagine Idowo and Aina getting more exposure and experience in the world cup and boasting their chances in playing for better clubs.
That will go a long way in helping their career and also boasting their quality.

You people should tell Rohr and anyone that cares about our team that we the Geniue fans wants the best players available at the moment to go to the world cup
