Plz don't chew cos your system can't take pieces of food now however small. Lick only and swallow.
Minta is OK.
I doubt your body will be ready to accept food at all on the first day. Drip should be your food for now. I stand to be corrected. Plz ask for and follow your nurses and/or doc's instructions.

Not anything sweet! Rather anything minty cos its the mint that will force you to pass gas. Just lick it or make sure you chew it to fine pieces before swallowing .

I finished the whole wrap of trebor cos I wanted to fart as soon as possible so I can eat! I fasted for 5days post op before eating and the hunger was out of this world .

Your doctor will check your tummy first then give you the go ahead to take minty sweet. .

Hospital policy differs as to how soon you can eat after surgery just ask your doctor and follow instructions.

Chew thoroughly before swallowing, or better still, just lick until its finished. The doctors on call the morning my CS was done argued over when its appropriate for me to lick the minty sweet. They had different opinions. Maybe confirm from your doc first if its okay to take the sweet now before you go ahead.

This post-cs phase was the most challenging for me. I literally cringe when I remember the whole struggle to sit up, to eat, to walk, to bathe, to swallow the loads of drugs. God is your strength sis. You'll be strong in no time

My birth story. I was admitted for an elective CS on 19/2/18 because my baby was in an oblique position, I wanted to try a vbac because i did a Cs in 2013 because baby was breech but God knows best, I don't know why my babies always come in such position above all i still thank God. As i got to the theatre Bp was high all of a sudden i was placed on oxygen and a bp monitoring equipment I don't knw it is called and i was also losing blood so I was transfused immediately, it took them an hr n 30minutes to bring the baby out, I was just reading psalm 23 for God to safe i and my baby on the second they didn't bring my baby to me I knew something was wrong wrong somewhere so I was just praying and telling God to perfect that which he has started.
