You didn't say what the nominal voltage of the battery is, to enable a proper calculation and chip in.

On the other part of your question: In my limited experience, use an ordinary multimeter to measure the voltage across the battery. In most cases, and depending on the technology and chemistry of the battery, it is fully charged when the voltage becomes steady at about 14.1 Volts, for a single 12 Volts battery or battery bank.

An original deep cycle battery will not just die when discharged to 100%;
rather it will shorten the lifespan by more than half if you do this continuously. If the battery was to last 1 yr before;
it will only last 3-5 months.
A car battery that is deep discharged more than 10 times, is already dead and cannot come back to life.
You might not notice when its powering small loads; but put in a car and try to start it; or connect a larger load;
I'd bet the voltage drops off a cliff.

POC The batteries are Ah not mAh. You find mah battery capacity in your power bank.
Secondly, you need to run a test on your batteries using a multimeter or seek the aid of a person with technical know out on Inverter.
I doubt it is your inverter that is faulty, considering you mentioned the back up time has drastically reduced.
There are few questions i will ask you privately to help you do an off-site troubleshooting.

I am just started to use Inverter. Great thread to learn about this. I think, to solve this types problems you may test your problem by a multimeter. It will help you to identify the AC, DC and Voltage problems.

I guess you didn't read my post well . . .
you can only connect your multimeter's red and black test probes to the battery's postive and negative terminals respectively
to check for voltage. You don't need to disconnect the batteries. Kindly make sure batteries are depleted to 50% depth of discharge
before test. Your inverter should show you depth of discharge


To test the inverter itself, when batteries are drained and inverter is charging them;
you need to check the charge current with a clamp meter to see if it matches the inverter's true specification as stated
on the manual

While you can use a multimeter capable of checking dc current to check for this; it is tough work because you need to break the circuit
and splice into wires; so a clamp meter is recommended.
