Igiebor played as a DM for Betis and as seen in the first game, Keshi played Azeez in an offensive role which could have suited Aluko, Igiebor, Mba...etc.

Keshi was great at getting the best from average players. He was a great motivational guy but determination without quality can only get you so far. The overall selection was not great. The same thing happened at the confederations cup. Poor selection.

With a little more quality on the bench, we could have taken the France game to extra time, maybe even nicked it.
Enough of these history discussions already

Haha!! Yup, we call him Pa. The man is almost 90 years now, if not more.

Oh, your former school coach was an assistant to Pa Oni, huh? Oh boy, naija footie don suffa sha!!
Talk about two PE teachers taking Nigeria to the World Cup.

O pari

Oh my school coach!

My school coach was an ex international named Amusa Adisa and a goalkeeper trainer to 2002 WC.

A silent achiever who discovered great players like Vincent Enyeama,Austin Ejide,Dele Aiyenugba,,ex Hull city star Seyi Olofinjana for super eagles,ex Polish international Emma Olisadebe etc.

He coached Nigeria university football team to various world university games in US,Japan and Italy.

If i may ask do you know where Keshi started his coaching career? He started with his daughter school in the States when the lady told the school that her Dad was ex WC player.

Don't be surprised you see icon4s as a coach cos he is a certified one

We have some solid coaches in our universities so do not berate them if you don't know, these are solid academy trainers who know talents when they see one.

I can tell you numbers of ex international who have rose from school coach to sports director in tertiary institutions across the nation

Remember i said i know a lot about 2002 WC than all these beer parlour rumour of $10k dollar coach.

James Obiorah is a close pal and made the team displacing Wilson Oruma with MOTM performance,so he didn't forced his way in through $10k.

And that's good enough an excuse when he can hardly execute his primary assignment which lies upfront?

As a winger, ur primary assignment is an efficient attacking input followed by defensive contributions which is secondary.

I av bn seeing Gent matches lately because of Esiti, and can tell u Moses hasn't been contributing more defensively to Gent than Kalu. Initially, Moses's fans pride themselves over his unofficial appointment as the free kick taker for Gent, lol, guess who has assumed that mantle now and has been delivering... Your guess is as good as mine and if he wasn't better than Moses, he wouldn't have been assigned that duty after it was strapped off Simon. Just as Moses was once Gent's golden boy, Kalu is their present golden boy and he is highly celebrated by Gent's fans. He is wanted by a host of clubs in the top leagues and I expect him to leave by summer. Until Henry's unfortunate injury, he was the only Nigerian winger better than Kalu amongst the players plying their trade in Belgium.

Stat wise, the likes of Olayinka and Bonaventure have even done better than Moses this season. We need to tell ourselves the truth...

Is Kalu Samuel the official free kick taker now?

How did Gent strap Moses Simon of the free kick duty because Kalu is better when we all know Moses Simon was out for 6 weeks due to injury?

@bolded 2 must be the biggest joke because Kalu has only scored 6 goals and assisted 7 times just when Simon Moses was out for almost 8 weeks due to injury. .

Simon Moses scored 5 goals with 3 assists this season before he was injured.

Peter Olayinka played mostly as a winger and his stats is far better than Samuel Kalu.

First Snapshot is Simon Moses injury history.
Second snapshot is Peter Olayinka stats.
Third snapshot is Samuel Kalu.

Please don't tell me that you rate Azeez at the same levels with either Ndidi or Etebor! Please say it isn't so!

O pari

Which level is Ndidi and Etebor?

Ramon Azeez didn't use the national team to get game time in la Liga as the aforementioned players did.

Please, tell me the level they are now.

I am not understanding.

For real Kalu is hustling for a call up. This guy and Simon play in the same team and he constantly outshines him in almost all the matches. His crosses are a beauty to watch. Impact player! Good end product.
I like simon but he's not improving his game. What's more baffling is that if you study very closely Our young talents in Belgian pro league like kalu, bonaventura, onyekuru and olyinka all seem to have a better football IQ than simon.
This simon needs a coach like pochettino or klopp who will work the potential out of him.

Kalu is a good player but outshing Simon Moses is going too far.

Simon Moses was Gent best player before going out for 8 weeks due to injury.

Besides, Simon Moses with his football IQ won Gent the first league title. Something Kalu is yet to do.

Seriously I don't wanna get involved in it but....... it's kinda disgusting we are comparing two Nigerians in the same Club, and beginning to rate one ahead of the Other.

Simon was injured for several Weeks, but we ain't taking it into Consideration, rather expected his Stats to keep improving while nursing Injury?!

It's a pity we ain't engaging in a healthy Debate with verifiable Facts! What makes Kalu better than Simon?! Well..... I don't wanna get involved cos its not healthy.
