Barcelona cannot sign Ndidi yet... They just signed Arthur from gremio with n eye on replacing busquets plus they have Paulinho... I am not putting him down but please the reality is he is on the up and not there yet.. Cc icon4s. When he improves the attacking aspect of his game, then we can talk about world class.

I beg to disagree Sir. Ndidi is not as good as fernandinho, Fred, jorginho, casemerio, busquets, Gabi, Can, vidal, khedira... I can keep naming them... Put him in an attacking team and he's deficiencies will show.. He has a lot to learn.

On what grounds?

At present, none of the above is better than Ndidi in breaking up play.. They might surpass him in other attributes but on current form, he is right up there.

Ndidi is not the finished article but we are seeing the improvement and more importantly the consistency. He can not be classed 'world class' yet but on current form, he is as good as other major DMs.

He is doing what DMs are there for... Disrupting play.

Apart from the limited experience at top level, Ndidi ability is world class.. He was playing under 17 in 2013.. Topping the whole of Europe with your tackling and interceptions is not an easy feat

The guy topped the Europa League in stats when he was in Genk averaging 7 tackles a game.

He is currently topping the whole of Europe... What was Kante doing in Leicester?? Was he scoring screamers or dribbling or giving great assists??

An English man or a Brazilian doing this will be hyped to high heavens..

amuneke and yes believe this gbenga okunowo and haruna babaginda all played for barca
but why would barca buy ndidi when they have rakitic and paulinho ?
again u are comparing a world class player to one who is still in the early stages of his career

Friendlies are meant to identify your weaknesses and expose new options for positions to be strengthened
On this thread we seem to be overly concerned about winning friendlies other than fortifying our team
I think we still have a lot to do if we want to come out alive from our group

I agree with your stance in this discuss. Ndidi still has a lot to learn, long pass accuracy, fast transitions, shot accuracy.... Do you know he is the worst players in terms of shooting accuracy in the EPL... the guy who has taken the highest number of shots without scoring... Make we calm down for the hype abeg... Ndidi still de grow and even on present form cannot and will not bench matic.

That is untrue. Ronaldo is known globally, buying Ronaldo is completely different from buying a prospect.

Scouts analyze every part of a player's game including their stats before making recommendations.
lol
but evryone on this thread keeps bringing up ndidi's stats and dats wat im trying to say
stats play a very small role in a player's purchase and by stats i mean the silly prozone types like most tackles, distance covered etc
many top level players fail beep tests all over the world yet still play for big teams

put indidi in madrid midfield playing alongside modric and kroos and you will see what he is capable of and when he sign for a big club your eyes go clear
you can ask nacho wether playing for man city and leicester which one is harder

First of all nobody can replace Busquets. He is the most important player in barca apart from Messi. Also Ndidi could battle Rakitic for a shirt although that would also be tough because he is very underrated.

Ozil is a top player because of the number of assists, he provides.. That is his product.. Your stats is a measure of your productivity. It is an important measure in buying a player. not a small measure..

Positional discipline, out of field behavior etc are also considered. It is a holistic approach.

Ndidi was doing all that in his former club before coming to the premier league to play for Leicester, and he is doing exactly what Leicester wants him to do(break up play). Leicester is a more defensive side, if he plays in a top club, you would see a different Ndidi attack wise.

assists and goals scored are very important stats
why do u think chelsea bought sheva and kezman?
why do u think man u waited a year to sign van nistelrooy and pulled out the stops to sign RVP
do u think they were looking at tackles completed or distance covered??

I would not be surprised if Ndidi secures a big move at the end of this season.

Kante in the premier league winning season had only 1 goal and 4 assists. Kante was certainly not there for his passing ability or goalscoring.

Ndidi already has 3 assists this season.

Here are highlights of Ndidi at Gent in the Belgian league, you could see he also offers a lot in the attack.
My point is that he also has those attacking abilities.

Keita is center midfielder.

You are underrating the boy. He will play wherever he goes.

Puel called him the most important player in Leicester. Not Mahrez or Vardy.. Ndidi..

no football manager buys players by stats
none
they look at ur ability and what u add to the team
lemme give u an example
if cr7 was wanted by psg for example and dy decided to use his stats for the first hallf of this season as d deciding factor, would dy have bought him?
Hahahaha hahahaha. Stats have antecedents. So yes they'd still look at him cos reference can always be made to his previous stats. I hate stats and all. But forget it, today's game is for numbers. It's the players with the numbers who rules. If in comparison to others Ndidi is producing numbers then why not give it to him when those same numbers is used to judge others. Go to youtube and watch fourfour two video titled number's game.

He is one of those players that do a lot of work but do not get enough credit.

There is the danger of staying too long in Leicester. If a big move comes, he should take it.
