edi287:Makelele wasn't rated world class as a passer of the ball, but for redefining the defensive midfield position, a solid covering for defence(that's the dirty job) and that is what Mickel was made to do under Mourinho while the likes of Ballack and Deco were focussed on creativity. The truth of the matter is, on his defensive midfield duty in today's football, Ndidi is indeed world class. 3 Likes |

edi287: He was underrated no doubt but Makalele was not one to try inventive passes. He kept things simple and effective. Ndidi on the other hand tries some risky passes, which of course reduces his passing stats. That said, Ndidi's passing has improved under Puel and it is something, i expect to continue. Put Ndidi in a team that keep possession and your will see better passing stats from him. 5 Likes |

edi287:Yes you are right but the two are Generallismo of their team and star to watch so let's see how they carry their team irrespective of their position in the midfield. |

junnyjake: Firstly, the basics what does biased mean Unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something. Once again I am involved with English football primarily and therefore it's not bias to talk from a standpoint of knowledge quite often first hand. It would be nonsensical rambling for me to be talking about Nigerian league and as such I leave it for those in the know like BascoVanVeli, TheGoodJoe, etc. Which country has the overwhelming highest number of Nigerian origin players in the world outside of Nigeria So it makes rational sense to concentrate on the biggest pool of potential talent. It's not sentimental prejudice it's common sense. With regards to quality are you saying the EPL is not quality Which league had the overwhelming highest number of clubs in the last 16 of the Champions league I have always said the EPL is the most physically taxing, highest tempo and competitive league. I did not say the most technically astute. In this regard La Liga is better technically speaking even possibly Seria A. |

Daejoyoung:He wasn't rated but his passing was underrated. Makelele like Mikel was an attacking player before he got converted to a DM. |

Mujtahida: You are being sentimental. You want to crown Ndidi King before he has become Prince. He is on the way but he is not there yet. How many seasons did it take Gerrard, Vieira, Makalele and even most recently Ngolo Kante to get recognised. Forget the paper talk. Something you forget is that he has not won anything yet. Not one cup not one league nothing players get more recognition when they crown top performances with a winning season or trophy. Ngolo Kante won the EPL with Leicester that crowned off his season. His fellow professionals voted him the best player in the EPL. Ndidi time will come possibly in another club maybe next season at Liverpool Fc. 5 Likes |

eterisan: Yes racism is alive and kicking but it's still possible to overcome with consistent outstanding top performances. Was George Weah not an African, or was Drogba from the moon, Was Rudd Gullit from Mars, where did Thierry Henry come from all these players were black. Currently the most expensive young players in the world are black and if not they are not white. |

Just look at how a distant 6th team in the la liga would bundle out Man U from the Champions league, yet sir komekn will not let us hear word about how English football is the next best thing since slice bread .......SMH A 100 million pounds Pogba fees would probably take care of the whole sevilla squad yet they got beaten with their tails between their legs 5 Engliish teams in the second round he has been shouting since, two have been bundled out with probably more to go, ...yet both him and the English media won't still wanna agree that football..., extremely good football exist outside England 7 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: There are things we know and there are things we can prove. We have endemic corruption in the Nigerian polity I don't think anyone will dispute. However, how many people have been indicted and convicted almost none. Therefore there is no corruption in Nigeria, do you agree |

TheGoodJoe: Rueben was worse than a passenger he had jumped into a first class train and didn't even have a ticket or the money to buy one. Failed so badly at Kilmarnock he was a joke had hardly kicked a ball all season after hi contract was ripped up. Then players who were performing in the EPL like Aluko were completely ignored. 1 Like |

Oasis007: Walahi i just tire, imagine comparing two same Nigerians in the same club because one was called and the other was not...also not factoring the fact that injury kept Moses out for upto six weeks. Besides what kalu is doing is what Moses has done even more in the time past for Gent, so he deserves his place. Kalu should bid his time while doing what he is currently doing or should even do more. We dont want a one Season wonder in our team that chriskels of a guy sha... there is a funny trend on this thread, we like clamouring for new players included all the time,...once that one gets included the next list, we start clamouring again for another new player, we are never satisfied. we forget many times that at the end, we can only have 11 players on the field at a time 2 Likes 1 Share |
