2. Fill your DS160 form. Fill her form. Pay both Visa fees. Create a profile for you and one for her. anyone who remembers how to link profiles should pls help out

3. Does the form ask for salary from your paid employment or does it just ask of income? I don't remember. But use your discretion

Then while booking your appointment, add your mum as one travelling with you and needing a visa, fill out all the necessary sections with her details as would be asked, at the end your profiles will be linked for you to input both MRV fees receipt numbers and schedule same time appointment.

Good day all, please house come to my rescue cuz am in deep mess right now and i need urgent and helpful contributions.

I was the guy that missed his appointment yesterday because my ds-160 form did not match with my appointment letter.

The story goes thus, the man helping me out was not an agent and we’re both doing the registration together cuz i don’t want story that touches. I was initially using his friend’s home address on New Orleans as the place i will be staying if i eventually get the visa.

But things went south when he submitted my ds-160 a day before the interview which made me got mad at and never said anything. He collected 10k for scheduling of appointment, after i was turned back yesterday, I got infuriated and told him i knew everything from onset from the 10k and all that.

He got angry and had to cancel all the conference payment he did, told his friend am not coming and decided to leave me all alone. Now I’m dumbfounded cuz i don’t know where to start from. He gave me the email which he used to book the appointment and told me to do it on my own since i know about it. I’m confused now, i don’t want to loose my visa fee payment, am just sad and don’t want to beg him cuz i felt he shouldn’t have collected 10k for appointment. The conference is coming up by April 21-24.

@Neljiggy if your reason for choosing Qatar is for the 'experience' then I'd strongly suggest you stick to Qatar as RAM doesn't come close to the Qatar experience.

You would have 3 stopovers instead of 2.
Depending on the time in between landing JFK and departing Atlanta, you might have to carry your luggage yourself from international terminal to domestic terminal.
Return trip out of JFK is at 6am. So you would have to arrive JFK the day before and either hang around the empty airport (shops don't run 24hrs) or get a hotel in town.
POE would be the least of your headaches..... that's if you have genuine reasons for being in the US


Due to Runway maintenance issues, my return trip from the US was rescheduled from Qatar to RAM. The only upside to RAM was shorter time in the air but airplane was dirty, air stewards were rude and unfriendly, food was awful, entertainment system had one or two movies only then you land in Lagos at about 2 or 3am and you'd have to wait till daybreak to leave the airport due security.

Finally able to register and login successfully!
Been a silent reader, got my visa approved last week Thursday at the Lagos consulate. It was a breeze, was asked just 4 questions, though I was detailed with the answers (thanks to the gurus of this thread for that).

Me: brought out my passport with the old ones that have my travel history but passed only the current one to him (this was to make him see I have other passports for travel history sake)
Vo: why are you going to the US?
Me: for a 4 weeks observership at ... in masschusetts specifically ... and ...units

Me: no I corrected him and told him what I said initially and also went ahead to explain they are subspecialites in my field
Vo: so what do you do here in Nigeria?
Me: I work as ...... at ........company. my job function include overall supervision of my department. I do........ I also perform special procedures such as....
Vo cuts in and ask how do you pereform .....scan (that was my last statement when he cuts in)
Me: I explained in detail. Meanwhile he was typing away on the computer then he cuts me short and was like you said you use so so so and so for the scan?
I immediately realized he was reading it on the system in quickly pointed out there are two types of that scan told him the two types and the one I was describing and further explained my discipline to him which has to do with what I was explaining to him previously.
He kept reading on the system and then said OK.
I asked if I could continue. He then said that's OK.
Vo: have you travelled out before?
Me: yes to Uae in ... for family vacation, Cameroon in .. for conference (mentioned the conference in full, related to my job), and Israel in .... for Christian pilgrimage
Vo: looked through my passport and asked if I have the passports here
Me: yes, handed my old passports over to him
Vo: are you married?
Me: yes with 2 lovely kids
Vo: your visa is approved...........picked up a white a pa per and circled collection centre

Note I was refused twice in 2014, in space of 3 months. Wanted to go give birth at that time. My circumstances has greatly changed and i didn't near the embassy since that time. Though I felt I was unjustly denied the last time but reading through the part 1 to 3 of this thread realized the mistake in made at that time.
So once again thank's. To everyone who has greatly contributed to this thread

This is the second time am applying after wasting the previous two attempts thru cancellations. I was advised at the embassy to delete it and get another date.
a) Who knows how to delete old profile?
b) Is it still possible to include my wife now as i have seen married men denied because they are going alone? Am not including my kids in the vacation because it might look like am not coming back.

These are the things that " went wrong " even before the interview. In the bid to " help" always consider if it's the truth and if your advice will be more harmful than beneficial.

4. Two weeks to our interview I had an accident that got me fracture on my ankle hence, was interview with crutches on (though deem it not necessary to b stated)
