komekn:thank you sir.. For recognising it as it is.. Wish more super eagles fans would realise this [/ it all boils down to fifa rating, work permit issues... Bla Bla Bla... Probably Im going too far... But trust fifa standard they rule the game.... If we africans want to be the best... We beat the best... Besides we leave our country to go play there and you say they are not the best.... It's harder for black players because we are not the best... It's simple.... No inferiority complex here... Else why don't African teams run over Europeans nd Americans at the world cup.... We should change the way we think.... Accept where we are in the grand scheme of things and strive to grow from there....] |

LZAA:And there you go again with the wrong choice for comparism. Is Onazi bossing the league he currently is playing in terms of stats from his position? very very wrong option you chose there.... It will be long until understanding that what we are saying is just the obvious currently. hj 4 Likes |

Kog45: Elder Sir Kog45.... I greet you Sir. I remember when I unequivocally stated that Mikel is World class with proof. Many came against that truth. But now for the sake of this Matic-Ndidi argument, they may agree that Mikel is world class and is on Matic's level.... While Ndidi is not abi? Loooollll... Funny lots they are. Let me make this clear... Mikel being world class is not even dependent on Matic because Mikel is above the level of Matic. It is an insult to compare Mikel's Class to that of Matic... Mikel is what and who Matic dreamed of becoming and that is how it will always be. As for Ndidi, that lad is near world class status already. There are strong rumors of his move to a bigger club in the summer. He is the World Ranking best young DM in the whole of Europe today. And he had done things Matic at 21 could only even dream of... Dominating tackling stats across the top five leagues of the world/Europe, churning in top rated performances week in week out in arguably the World's toughest league and the third most technically proficient league in Europe and in the world.... "THE EPL" Even in the EPL currently, who is better? Matic or Ndidi? The answer is obvious. Ndidi takes it. So what are Matic/Man Utd fanboys talking about? Honestly, what Matic has now is in the name "Matic", I even rate Milinkovic-Savic higher now. Yet, not even Milinkovic-Savic tops Ndidi. Ndidi is the next big thing the world is gonna see since Ngolo Kante. And he will be much bigger no doubt... What he is already doing at 21 is really scary. He is not even at his peak yet. Call it hypes all you want people..... But this is the Ndidi we've seen evolve in the EPL since January 2017. Elder Sir Kog45... Mikel is world class. Well said. But biko let us not insult Mikel's class by making the statement because we agree Matic is world class... Mikel is a far bigger and better player than Matic in pure class, sheer footballing abilities, in world class status and in trophies/achievements. Dem no be mate abeg.... It is funny how guys in here continue belittling our own in the name of some subtle allegiance to Euro club football. They cannot see pass their euro club football allegiances and talk "Truth" pertaining to the beautiful game. Ndidi is better than Matic currently... And I agree with Elder Kog45 when he first made this similar comment. If anybody don't like it, then take a hike... **In trump's voice** Looollll 4 Likes

komekn: Please don't tell us what we already know. Do u have proof that Keshi did anything that they are accusing him of? Nigeria is corrupt I get that but let us respect the dead for goodness sake. What does bringing out skeletons in this man's closet do for any of us? If u are telling me that all our footballing problems will be solved by this then by all means carry on. |

komekn: There must be variety. After Onazi injured, Aluko would not have had the ability to play the role. The contributions Reuben made towards the end of the game from a defensive perspective, Aluko would not make them. Babatunde took Aluko's role and flourished. Why blame Reuben. |

LZAA:Still it's not the right comparison because Onazi's stats currently doesn't come close to that of Mordric, but looking at Ndidi and Matic, the gap is not as wide as you've made it with your Onazi Comparison(to Mordric) which was only intended to belittle Ndidi. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheGoodJoe(m): 11:39am On Mar 14, 2018 |
The point is so simple. When it concerns the defensive side of the DM role, Ndidi rules the planet of football. That makes him World Class especially when it concerns shielding the defence and breaking up plays. Gerrit? 7 Likes 1 Share |

Manchester City look to Bundesliga superstar after cooling interest in Fred – report By City Watch Posted on March 13, 2018 RELATED ITEMS: FEATURED , FRED , JULIAN WEIGL Manchester City have cooled their interest in recent midfield target Fred according to reports today by The Times , Goal and Daily Mail . The news comes as a surprise after City had reportedly been in advanced negotiations to land the 24-year-old Brazil international, but Paul Hirst of The Times writes that the two clubs could not come to an agreement despite City loaning striker Larry Kayode to the Ukrainian giants. While a deal isn’t impossible it is now rated as unlikely, and fresh reports claim that Manchester United could instead sign Fred, continuing their recent habit of signing City targets. Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport today, “Fred isn’t already at Manchester City, but he will surely leave in June. If not to City, then Manchester United. “He’s ready for the next stage, because as well as being good, he’s also very professional. If he asked us to stay another year, we’d let him.” City are now expected to turn their attentions to other targets, with Julian Weigl of Borussia Dortmund listed as a primary candidate by The Times . A host of midfielders other than Fred and Weigl have been linked with a switch to the Etihad in recent months, including Lazio’s impressive Sergej Milinković-Savić , Jorginho of Napoli, and Liverpool star Emre Can who is out of contract in the summer. City are in considerable need of a new midfielder who can play in a deeper role, with Fernandinho soon to turn 33 and Yaya Touré out of contract in June and leaving the club. The big question now is if not Fred, then who?

LZAA:Yes you are right there is difference between established and upcoming but being established does not mean you are better than upcoming. Remeber upcoming Kante benched well established Matics and even pushed him forward to slug it out with another established Fabregas. Being established doesn't mean you are better than the upcoming 4 Likes |

We Nigerians can be so quick to underrate, belittle and disparage the abilities of our players. It's almost as if you never expect us to be good enough thereby finding all sorts of silly excuses to support your demeaning claims. What an inferior mentality. No make me vex ooo. . More grease to the elbows of our players as they continue ignoring and proving their 'unpatriotic' countrymen doubters wrong. 4 Likes |

Fabihno = status quo ( perhaps slightly better under pressure), Yes Can = utility player on a free? Sure. But he is probably not a great fit. Conditional yes. Diawara = if you play in Napoli's system you can pick ours up in weeks. So if it's a Napoli player at any position, the answer is always Yes! FDJ: Style, composure, temperament, technique, size, vision, skill, movement. He has it in bucket loads. Only downside being current competition. But his style strikes me as competition proof. An absolute Yes for me. Ndidi: A no for me. An average passer, with average speed, great strength and fantastic tackling. What he is great at will be wasted here, and what he isn't so great at will slow us down. No on Ndidi. Post from a man city forum... Link http://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/members/delphinho.80474/....... We should drop this gwg tainted glasses abeg...... I love super eagles and wish our players well....
