Actually, I beg to differ on Modric. Modric has never been a great striker of the ball. He can dribble and pass, but shooting has never been his strong quality. His game mirrors that of Ozil. Now, if you're talking about Raktic .... that one packs bullets on both feet.

Matic is a better DM than Mikel ever was. He successfully converted to DM from AM something which Mikel didn't do too well
when was matic when mikel was in his prime?
where was matic when mikel was bossing Chelsea midfield in the era of champions league glory and Europa...?
where was matic when mikel at a very young age...one of the most difficult to pleased manager in the world...could not so away without him....in the midst of array od seasoned midfielders(ballack, lampard, essien, joeCole, markele, etc )..he could find a place to slot him in.

Matic went to Benfica, established himself and came back to bench Mikel. Matic played a more prominent role in the two league titles Chelsea won when he was there than Mikel ever did throughout his stay. He even made PFA team of the season.
Oh and let's not forget Matic is a year younger than Mikel. As a DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER, Matic is better than Mikel. This shouldn't even be a debate

Ndidi commands the best tackling stats in the EPL.... He is the world ranking best Young DM in world football today. Across the big five leagues, he rules the breaking up play/tackling realms.... This guy is near world class already and will he only a matter of time before he is confirmed as a world class performer....

Is he better than Matic currently? Oh yes he is.... wink Especially in the EPL? Oui... Big Oui... grin

Talking about Nacho... That lad has scored from a freekick, scored with his right foot, scored with his left foot and scored with his head and provided intelligent assists so far in this 2017/2018 campaign for Club and Country... Plsss, pray tell what special thing have Gabby Jesus done other than scoring tap-ins? Or what has Mbappe done other than showing us how bleeping overhyped he is? Looooollll.... Not saying they are not fine talents, but making them look unstoppable is pure fallacy and shows an obsession with anything Euro club or euro/foreign talents allegiance and sentiments. It is truly a wrong and funny way to view football.... Hahahahahahahahaha...

Ah well.... What can we say? We will always have the Euro fan boys who cannot see pass their euro club allegiance noses... Such limited analysts they are.

Look, I have always maintained that Ndidi is not yet world class but he is also not far off. He is as close to being a near world class CDM and it will only take a matter of time before his absolute world class status is confirmed. I personally tipped him to hit world class status first before any member of the Young Super Eagles rising golden generation.

And with rumors of Liverpool and a few other big guns after Ndidi, maybe the events after Russia 2018 will reveal the full picture....

Meanwhile below.....

Matic: Hey Wilf! Take it easy man... Na fight? You fit tire pesin oooo.... See as I dey sweat and pant because of you for this midfield battle...

Ndidi: Football is being redefined everyday Papa Matic... Old things like you are passing away, new things like me are becoming the in-thing aiit.... So deal with it. wink

P.S: Hey.... This is the Super Eagles thread... Where you hit up on all the fun spots and various "truth" angles of our national team players and where we are not lost on the beautiful quality present in our players..... grin Welcome again... And Deal with it!

Rohr Receives Injury Update On Ebuehi And His Worst Fears Are Confirmed
Published: March 13, 2018
Tyronne Ebuehi faces a race against time to recover from an injury he sustained in ADO Den Haag's last match in the Dutch Eredivisie against NAC Breda, ahead of Nigeria's friendlies against Poland and Serbia.
The injury report provided by ADO Den Haag on Tuesday afternoon is not too encouraging, with the Dutch club confirming that their number two has suffered a groin injury that might keep him on the sidelines.
''Beugelsdijk has a hamstring injury, while Ebuehi and Kanon have groin problems,'' ADO Den Haag stated on their official website.
''Ebuehi and Kanon suffer from the groin area, but it is not yet known how long their recovery will last.
''Ebuehi and Kanon are also among the provisional roster of Nigeria and Ivory Coast respectively for the coming international break, which will take place after the coming game.''
Ebuehi had to be substituted in the 67th minute against NAC Breda after complaining of discomfort in his groin.
The 22-year-old's injury is a big blow to Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr, who is also sweating on the fitness of Torino's Joel Obi and Las Palmas's Oghenekaro Etebo ahead of the trip to Poland next week.

Looolll... This season so far... Yes! I would say DrKlever is spot on. Mbappe is all pace, power and skills... But his decision making and his overall football IQ is way below Nacho's.

I once told you these two players will take different paths.

Mbappe will take the physical raw power, super pace, all skills route... He will be all flashy skills, mad pace and powerful on the run and in tussles.

But Iheanacho will take the "more brains less brawn" route.... Nacho's football IQ is pure bad ass. Even Mbappe fanboys have to admit this is true if they have been following the beautiful game this season. smiley

Looolll... Like I haven't seen a few games of his in Ligue 1 too... Hahahahahahahahaha... He was so terrible against Dijon too in that 2-1 game where he played no.9. He has had a couple of very poor outings this season and his decision making has been piss poor.... Omo ehn... You guys asked for this.... Hahahahahahaha...

And as for Gabby Jesus, abeg no be so so tap-ins him dey score? Silva and Debruyne and even Sane make it look so easy for whoever plays 9 for City. #Fact.

I have never seen these two score a freekick... Pray tell, have you seen? cheesy Ohhhhh... Perhaps they are still working on it...

Nacho this season for club and country has shown what he can offer from an all-round approach. This guy can shoot from outside the box... He can score tap-ins for fun too... He can slam in headers... He can take freekicks... He has excellent Vision... He can score with both feet... Mehn!!! He offers multiple threats as an attacker upfront. Always hard to tell what Nacho wanna do with the ball... His football IQ is high my friend. Really high for Someone who is still 21.

Biko note oooo... No mention of world class... He is not there yet afterall.. wink

Mbappe in a poor season has 11 in 20.
Mbappe > Nacho in terms of skill
Mbappe > Nacho in terms of Technique
Mbappe > Nacho in terms of off the ball movement
Mbappe = Nacho in terms of finishing
Mbappe < Nacho in terms of final pass.

Gabriel Jesus > Nacho in terms of skill (unless you didn't watch his at Palmerias)
Gabriel Jesus >/= in terms of technique
Gabriel Jesus > Nacho in terms of off the ball movement
Gabriel Jesus < Nacho in terms of finishing
Gabriel Jesus < Nacho in terms of final pass.

In terms of allround ability : Mbappe > Gabriel Jesus > Nacho.
As out and out strikers = Mbappe > Nacho (I love Nacho's finishing. Depending on the midfield he's playing in) > Gabriel Jesus. As strikers, both Mbappe and Gabriel Jesus have more to their game. This is clearly obvious to anyone who has watched all 3 extensively

Go Google what Wenger said about Mbappe. Mbappe main strength is he plays like someone in his mid 20s. His off the ball movement is FAR better than Nacho. Dude has also shown he's quite versatile. He's played well in a 2 striker system, as a lone striker and outwide. So saying he has low football IQ is frankly one of the most ridiculous things I've heard on here.

The point is so simple. When it concerns the defensive side of the DM role, Ndidi rules the planet of football. That makes him World Class especially when it concerns shielding the defence and breaking up plays.

Wenger? So when I brought up Pellegrini's words on nacho waayyy back what did you say about that? Just like the way I brought up Ancelloti quotes on Mikel's class. Mourinho's quote too... even Scolari's. So if you want me to acknowledge Wenger... pray do acknowledge the other authorities too on our players. smiley

Nacho's Football IQ is way beyond just off-the-ball movement..... you know that but just wanna ignore it. In a two striker system, Nacho too has shone like a million stars and so also has he done well in a lone striker system. And just as you guys love to point out one game of Nacho's struggles as a no.9, so also I brought up Dijon with Mbappe as a no.9 being so poor. It took place this season. wink

And I said Nacho's football IQ is higher than Mbappe's. Get the context. Nacho's own does not stop at off the ball movements... Nacho reads a game beautifully and knows what he wants to do with the ball. His decision making is much better than Mbappe. #Fact

And what is more ridiculous is you not acknowledging Nacho's football ingenuity. How can you possibly deny Nacho's growing class and Football IQ? cheesy because you just love Mbappe better abi? Nacho is not the fastest, but he got some very good pace and he also allows the ball do the running for him unlike Mbappe who must use fire and Brimstones to move the ball from A To B.

Nacho's Football IQ trumps Mbappe's and his all-round skillsets as a forward is far deadlier. Deadly from set-pieces, deadly from outside and inside the box... deadly in the air... ohhhh can't you see? Nacho is growing into a beast and Mbappe is still doing road-runner.

Well said TheSuperNerd but sometimes you put rope on the ground for people,to them Mikel is not world class but Matics is a class now just to belittle suoer growing Ndidi who have showed me this season is better than Matics

Apart from Makele, I am not sure you can grade any other Chelsea DMF(past or present within the said time) as a truly World Class player. There is World Class, there is the next category beneath World Class and then there is the long list of good players. At 21, Matic was sitting on Chelsea's bench, true, but at 21 a lot of good players were sitting on Chelsea's bench including De Bruyne so nothing there really. At 23-24 Matic was leading Benefica to Europa league finals, that is not exactly an easy thing when you consider the teams in the Europa League back then. Matic has played the most games for Manu in the league than any other player and ManU currently has the best defensive record, I am not sure who should take the glory except Matic(and De Gea to some extent), when Matic is bad Manu will be bad but then they are currently second meaning they have been good way more times than they have been bad. Putting Ndidi within his bracket is.... I don't even know how to put it. Matic isn't world class but saying Ndidi is close to him? Come on.

On another day I would have taken up this Matic-Mikel comparison but let me just let it slide.

if ebuehi will not be fit enough for the poland and serbia friendlies then he shouldn't be rushed into playing those matches because of the risk of aggravating the injury..after all they are friendlies..we still have may friendlies coming up and unlike joel obi he has been part of eagles qualifiers and so it not like the coach is going to see a totally new player show what he is made off.

Wenger? So I brought up Pellegrini on nacho way back what did you say about that? Just like the way I brought up Ancelloti quotes on Mikel's class. Mourinho's quote too... even Scolari's. So if you want me to acknowledge Wenger... oray do acknowledge the other authorities too on our players. smiley

Nacho's Football IQ is way beyond just off-the-ball movement..... you know that but just waann ignore it.

You wants to bring quotes praising both players?? I assure you if Mbappe was Nigerian, none of you guys would even dare say Nacho is a better allround player. One of the craziest things I've heard on here.
Me saying Mbappe is better than Nacho is denying Nacho's improvement as a player?? Mbappe is not improving as well?? Na wa oo.
Look, if Nigeria and France are playing, I'll support Nacho a 150 percent that day and claim he is better than Mbappe. But as a general football lover, I just can't accept that because it isn't true. The gap between Mbappe and Nacho is large..that is a fact!!
Turn those two to Nigerians and ask any coach to pick who is better and they'll pick Mbappe 8 out of 10 times

if ebuehi will not be fit enough for the poland and serbia friendlies then he shouldn't be rushed into playing those matches because of the risk of aggravating the injury..after all they are friendlies..we still have may friendlies coming up and unlike joel obi he has been part of eagles qualifiers and so it not like the coach is going to see a totally new player show what he is made off.

He has confirmed that he will be fine.. The media aide to the team has confirmed his availability.

It is not a serious groin problem, just slight pains.

Mbappe in a poor season has 11 in 20.
Mbappe > Nacho in terms of skill
Mbappe > Nacho in terms of Technique
Mbappe > Nacho in terms of off the ball movement
Mbappe = Nacho in terms of finishing
Mbappe < Nacho in terms of final pass.

Gabriel Jesus > Nacho in terms of skill (unless you didn't watch his at Palmerias)
Gabriel Jesus >/= Nacho in terms of technique

And I should take this obviously biased analysis of yours seriously? Those bolded are red flags man...

I should place two players waaayyyy above Nacho who has even scored a sumptuous freekick sef... Players who have not pulled off the kind of wickedly skillful assists Nacho don pull off this season twice!!!! (Excluding the others sef)... You say their technique is higher than Nacho's?

On skill, oh no... I watched G.Jesus at Palmeiras... Very skillful one. No arguments. BUT I SEE YOU LEAVE OUT PARAMETERS SUCH AS OVERALL VISION and DECISION MAKING. cheesy

Man.... You were right... This discussion is tiring... Red flags in your Mbappe-Nacho analysis man.... And in overall ability........ Even on two counts in your Jesus-Nacho talk.

But see ehn... you truly underrate keenly Nacho's technique despite claiming to watch him..... Why is it so hard to see what is obvious? Smh...
