KPOM! Let's hope that he would get on Barca's radar very soon. After all, Sergio Buesquets isn't getting any younger.

And by the way, why is there no Barca vs Chelsea game thread shocked sad angry

Ndidi is among the best DM in Europe at the moment. The primary responsibility of a DM is protecting the defence and breaking up play. Very few are as good as Ndidi at the moment. Fact.. The numbers do not lie.

A DM who fulfills that role is doing his job. The only thing left for Ndidi is to move to a bigger side

Again, don't think it's fair to compare Ndidi to guys like SMS and Tolisso. Both aren't really holding midfielders.
they are young cms... Within same age bracket.... And can play as dms..... Re in bigger clubs and command huge transfer fees.... If not them then who....ok fred na... Jorghinho nko..... Seri.... Who will we measure ndidi's quality against.... Mek I go watch Che vs barca abeg.... I have tried

so what happened to idrissa gueye he once topped the tackling stats.... Ndidi will move to a bigger side..obviously... . Which do you have in mind... It is a matter of when not if.. So you think he is ready.... I think not... Not yet.... I Pray he dominates at the world cup though.... I think he can box the midfield against Argentina and Iceland but may be found wanting against Croatia.... Rakitic, modric and kovacic will run rings around him.... They must be studying him as we speak.... So he has to improve his game and surprise them.... That is my point bros

Gueye is a top DM as well... He will do fine in a bigger side. He is surely better than Bakayoko in Chelsea.

Ndidi has been consistent. That is also very important. He does it every week in a big league and appears to be improving.

Your point?? We are arguing who is better at the moment. Who has shown more potential and who possess the better attributes. I say it's Mbappe. Simple.
Mbappe? Someone that was as black as his shadow when playing against Madrid?

He couldn't contribute an attacking pass in the first leg. Iota stats captured that but that night the commentators were overwhelmingly concerned and focused on Neymar.

Ndidi has play at the highest level just like Mbappe, and he delivered absolutely fine and classy! Pls what has Mbappe done?

It does not mean, Gueye was not oustanding. He is only one player, he can't do everything. There is a reason why he remained in the premier league when Villa got relegated.

Everton was a Europe chasing team not too long ago, they have struggled with poor coaching this year.

Anyone who says Nacho has better technique and off the ball movement isn't "neutral" or "objective". So miss me with these yans. Wake me up when Nacho scores more than 6 goals in the ucl.
Wake me up when Nacho benches players like Draxler, Di Maria, Pastore, etc.
Wake me up when Nacho is the highest scoring teen in the ucl
Wake me up when Nacho makes the UCL team of the season.

So many wake me ups... Nacho got a whole lot of those. Hahahahahahahahaha.... Talking about Objectivity, you don't even know Nacho has fantastic technique in the first place. And you say Mbappe got better decision making than Nacho. Mehn.... I laughed my ass out so much... You are a comedian. cheesy

Wake me up season.... smiley

Loooollll.... Wake me up when Mbappe reaches 8 goals in international games for France in as many games. He has played almost same number of games as Nacho for France and Nacho's international stats trumps him so much. cheesy

Mbappe- 1 goal and 3 assists in 11 apps

Iheanacho- 8 goals and 4 assists in 14 apps

Also Nacho plays in the EPL..... A 2.0 league rated far above a 1.5 league in ligue 1 and holds some pretty fine records EPL-wise too... so you can imagine the many wake me up calls I could bring up... Loooll

But I am still so particular about that freekick... For all his pace, power and flashy plays, Mbappe is yet to hit a freekick goal. How super he must really be... Hahahahahahahahaha... Awwwwwwn...

Mbappe doesn't need a free kick to prove he's better than Nacho. He doesn't take freekicks. Nacho took one and scored. Don't make me go bring two of their comps now and even prove my point even more.
Mbappe plays on the wing and as a second striker.
The same guy from the 1.5 league had a better season in the ucl than Nacho ever had at any competiton.
Isn't the best player in Nacho team from a "1.5" team?? Isn't the player Ndidi is being compared to from a "1.5 league"?

Naaah...yours is blind mbappeism... A syndrome in which euro flavor has really eaten deep into your optic chiasma to make you see nothing beyond " European" goodness... grin

And actually he does need that freekick... Sadly so sad Backing out because he cannot hit one? cheesy Special players know how to hit a good freekick. Look at Pele, Maradona, Messi, Zidane... Even Drogba could hit a good freekick. Is that so hard for Mighty Lord Mbappe of 180million fame... How can a player cost this much and cannot hit a good freekick? Waste of funds if you ask me... Hahahahahahahahaha...

On UCL... Well, Nacho still has a good gaol ratio in the UCL. Abi no be when he enter UCL him go see ball play? cheesy When he did play, he shone... Simple sturvs really. Even before the Madrid game, he commanded the best goal ratio in all of Europe. Ouuccchhhh...

180 million Mbappe still has just 1 goal and 3 assists in 11 international apps.

But a "meagre" 25 million Nacho has 8 GLS and 4 assists in 14 international apps.

So much for the very expensive teen wonder... Who can kick a ball that will blow up the moon... Loooll

Discussions where even held.... So what has Seri got.. That ndidi lacks.... Infact na me love ndidi pass for here cos I am bn objective.... Those calling him world class and finished article are just fan boys and girls that hype any high performing eagle player to high heavens.... After them go criticise oga komekn and English media and league..... When they are obnoxiously biased when it comes to the super eagles players
I'm not sure anybody did call him world class

It was just someone here that decided to call him that to end the argument

From what I've been reading from the so called fan boys I think they mean he's the best for now in performing the traditional DM role which is to shield the defense and break up attack and from most of them, they said there's surely room for improvement and only opined that for the little he's doing now, he should be given a little recognition for it

Unless, that is not what is been said

Kante won the PFA award doing exactly what Ndidi is doing and racking up the tackling numbers. Surely Ndidi can be praised for doing the same. Not underrated and dismissed.

I do not think anybody is under rating or being dismissive of Ndidi.

What I understand is that people are saying he is an excellent player but not world class yet.

With regards to Ngolo Kante there is the small matter of Leicester city defying all odds and winning the EPL. Of which Ngolo was intrinsic to that success it wasn't because he had the most tackles.

The silver Ware was the icing on the cake and to further buttress his attributes his fellow professionals voted him the best player in EPL. Don't forget that barely 4 years ago he was struggling to find a club side.

When Ndidi wins something and gets some silverware his consistency and week in week out, top performances will give him the recognition he deserves. But until then he's a young prince waiting to be crowned king.

My problem with you is you make calls for players who are not standout players in the Championship, League One, League Two etc. on what basis then? You don't earn a call up just because of the league you play. Even if you play in the EPL, you have to earn a call up by performance there as well. Backwater league or not, you need to perform. And even if you say you have watched the players in question and their that good bla bla bla, don't expect us to fall behind you.. you don't have enough stats to back it up..maybe you should post some videos etc that will add credibility to your position.. at the end of the day, all we see here are just black and white, or blue ( TheGoodJOe ). Be like tbaba, and back it up with videos etc at times. Which is why when tbaba says certain things, I take him more seriously.

komekn:

Firstly, the basics what does biased mean Unfairly prejudiced for or against someone or something. Once again I am involved with English football primarily and therefore it's not bias to talk from a standpoint of knowledge quite often first hand. It would be nonsensical rambling for me to be talking about Nigerian league and as such I leave it for those in the know like BascoVanVeli, TheGoodJoe, etc.

Which country has the overwhelming highest number of Nigerian origin players in the world outside of Nigeria So it makes rational sense to concentrate on the biggest pool of potential talent. It's not sentimental prejudice it's common sense.

With regards to quality are you saying the EPL is not quality Which league had the overwhelming highest number of clubs in the last 16 of the Champions league

I have always said the EPL is the most physically taxing, highest tempo and competitive league. I did not say the most technically astute. In this regard La Liga is better technically speaking even possibly Seria A.

Apart from Makele, I am not sure you can grade any other Chelsea DMF(past or present within the said time) as a truly World Class player. There is World Class, there is the next category beneath World Class and then there is the long list of good players. At 21, Matic was sitting on Chelsea's bench, true, but at 21 a lot of good players were sitting on Chelsea's bench including De Bruyne so nothing there really. At 23-24 Matic was leading Benefica to Europa league finals, that is not exactly an easy thing when you consider the teams in the Europa League back then. Matic has played the most games for Manu in the league than any other player and ManU currently has the best defensive record, I am not sure who should take the glory except Matic(and De Gea to some extent), when Matic is bad Manu will be bad but then they are currently second meaning they have been good way more times than they have been bad. Putting Ndidi within his bracket is.... I don't even know how to put it. Matic isn't world class but saying Ndidi is close to him? Come on.

On another day I would have taken up this Matic-Mikel comparison but let me just let it slide.
Sir it's my opinion and I will not deceive you i don't rate Matics.

Oh on Mikel and Matics,me and you know where we stand so no need for another day.

Story story story!!! Hahahahahahahahaha.....

Nacho got three of his international goals playing as a CF (one from the penalty spot) but his other five goals came as an AM (except for that one- the freekick goal where he paired Iwobi in a double false 9 frontline). That is hard facts mister... So no excuses for Mbappe on the international scene aiit. 180 million gotta produce some magic naa abi? grin So why cutting him some slack? Abi for PSG doesn't he also come from the right of attack? Does he not come from outwide? Really cheap and weak excusse you raise. smiley

Nacho hit 10 EPL goals before age 20... He joined an exclusive club that had Wayne Rooney and a couple of other talented youngsters. He was the first African to hit such milestone before age 20. I guess that means nothing to you because his name is not Mbappe... grin

Nacho also became Africa's youngest scorer in the world renowned Manchester derby. He was also Man City's youngest derby scorer in years.

Nacho took freekick for Nigeria naa... With Boss Mikel around... U no dey fear respect of quality?

But plsss no muvh talk... 180 million for a player like Mbappe. Surely he must he able to do a lot of things naa... wink

And one of them is hitting a good clean freekick... Abi 180 million comes without the freekick package? grin huh?

Nacho trumps your boy in the international circles man.... And club wise, Nacho still strives in a team not boasting the stardust quality of PSG... Yet, Nacho is still getting those assists and goals in little time given... His class is obvious to all man. This is also why Monaco and Dortmund came for him last summer.... They wanted him. In fact Monaco tabled a major bid which was turned down because of Nacho's British passport aspirations.

Come on he is just 25 million naa abi... But this kid can hit a good freekick that made even Dybala envious (see below). He can score with both feet and with his head. He is growing into a all-round attacking beast... But your boy, Mbappe still stays on the flashy roadrunner level with 180 million over His head...

Honestly , a 180 million player should be influential against Madrid naa abi? In Neymar's absence, Mbappe was so exposed as reminded of how small he was. He was bang average that day. For 180 million, excuses really should not be welcomed naa abi...

I cannot even remember Mbappe winning CNN international goal of the week. So much for all these mbappe hypes really... Hahahahaha...

Nacho hit 10 EPL goals before age 20... He joined an exclusive club that had Wayne Rooney and a couple of other talented youngsters. He was the first African to hit such milestone before age 20. I guess that means nothing to you because his name is not Mbappe... grin

Mbappe was influential against BVB, Juve, Man City and Bayern. Why did Nacho flop against madrid. Is Monaco a better team than City? Matic won Fifa Puskas award. By your logic he is a better player than Busquets and surprise surprise - Mikel grin grin grin
Nacho flopped in the ucl when he had city first team behind him. Mbappe had a bad game against Madrid without Neymar. Do you see how I'm exposing your weak points??
Mbappe was valued at 36m before his first pro season. Is it Mbappe that can't score and dribble with both feet?? Is it Mbappe that can't score with his head?
Neymar having a bad game against Madrid means he's not better than Kane or Son who had good games against Madrid according to your logic?
You still keep dodging my question - apart from a final pass and ok let me give you finishing and freekick ( grin grin grin grin) name anything else Nacho is better than Mbappe at??
Name 4 big teams like Bvb, bayern, Juve and Man City that Nacho has performed far better than Mbappe?? Tell us why Pep played Sterling and Debruyne as false 9s even when Nacho was fit despite Nacho having better off the ball movements than Jesus?? I'm waiting. Mbappe has performed in league and Ucl. Has Nacho performed in ucl??

But it is true naa... You have been going on and on about how much you have followed Nacho and you are here showing complete ignorance of Nacho's achievements since his beautiful debut season in 2015/2016..... Looolll... Oga Google and Twitter are your friends. The records are all there.. Dont make me do your homework for you aiit... wink

You know Nacho and you ask what has Nacho achieved? You are a comediam indeed. Like I said, it only shows you have been lying. As simple as that. You have been overcome by mbappeism. Looolll
Nacho debut season is better than Mbappe?? Ok.
Nacho scored 8 league goals Mbappe scored 6 Ucl goals.
Mbappe won young player of the year.
Mbappe made ucl team of the year
Mbappe won the golden boy.
Mbappe made ligue un team of the season
But I agree - You win. Nacho is better because he's Nigerian. That is the most legitimate reason ever grin grin

Ndidi is central to what Leicester is doing this season. Puel just named him as the most important player on his team. Not Mahrez, Not Vardy, Ndidi

Yes, Ndidi needs to win trophies to receive the world class tag but he will probably need to move to a bigger club to achieve this.

But on form, he is as good as anyone in the premier league.

Nacho has better Vision than Mbappe naa.... He has the better decision making too. His finishing is on another level. His eye for the final pass is world class. cheesy

Nacho is such an intelligent footballer. Colin udoh, Jide Alaka, Solace Chukwu, Ed Dove, mumini Alao etc have all at different times given their voices to Nacho's high football IQ. That is only restricting to Home sef just to give you a picture. Internationally, he is reckoned too.... From his days at Man City.

By what silly logic is Matic better than Mikel or busquets? because of Puskas award? Like seriously? I tot you wanted to see achievements of Nacho naa.... I decided to drop hints of some and you already fidgeting by making unrelated analogies... Hahahahahahahahaha.... You really don't wanna lose your post as president of Mbappe fan club do you? cheesy wink looollll

Talking UCL... How many games have Nacho played in the UCL? In fact, how many minutes has he played? Yet Nacho boast two UCL goals... And his UCL apps are not more than five or six.

When Nacho was lording it in the Manchester derby in EPL 2.0 with a goal and an assist, the youngest best performance for an African player in a game of such magnitude... Were you on a hike or something? grin

When Nacho boasted the best scoring stats in the EPL and in all of Europe before the Madrid semis in the 205/2016 season, where you sleeping? Lol...

Nacho's run even continues in the English FA Cup... Since January 2016, he has scored more goals than anyone with Only Kane close to him.... So much I can say mister... But you just don't know because you actually don't know about Nacho... But I know all about Mbappe and the stats you are dropping. I can even help you with a few more... But the problem is, you don't know Macho at all. And you run with your single story as "Facts" and "Truth". That is a poor way to view the beautiful game...

Lemme drop a quote for you too...

"The true enemy of knowledge is not ignorance but the illusion of knowledge" wink (from Prof Stephen Hawking who just passed away)

What you parade as facts are just illusions of the holistic truth. You refuse to acknowledge the whole picture of things, so carry on in your illusion man... Makes you sleep better... Looolll

180 million player that cannot score "common" freekick? Or even influence a big game that matches his 180 million tag... A 180milliom player with poor international stats for the national team playing from basically the same role he plays in for PSG out wide.... Biko make una allow us hear word for hia.... Mbappeism makes me yawn...
