Pipedreams, pls can you explain Wat you mean by paper route and passport online request. Thanks |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by OmoBendel24: 12:07pm On Mar 14, 2018 |
anuoluwa: From the message you received and posted here, it is clear you submitted your documents at VFS which is "paper route", and my response to you above should be helpful to you. "Online route" means you uploaded and submitted all your documents online and only went to VFS for biometrics purpose (which isn't the case in your situation), and this of course would have led to either receiving a mail indicating refusal in clear terms or an approval and a passport request from you. |

CC. anuoluwa Two weeks is a Good time to get a Visa Approval, be positive. I once applied for an SA Visa, Friends and agents said it takes 3 weeks, In 4 days i got a Message for pick up, Everyone said it far too impossible to be an approval,.... I went expecting an approval, The funniest part was that i didn't even open the envelope for 2 weeks, not until someone asked me to open and access the "reason for Denial"!!!! LIFE. |

manlikegb:Hello please how much in Naira was deducted from your account and Please what are the things i need to go with to VFS for biometrics 1 Like |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by manlikegb: 4:09am On Mar 15, 2018 |
Teefab: @Teefab, how much in naira depends on the exchange rate of the date. As of now, expect something in the region of 300 plus or less. As for the things you need to go to vfs with for biometric, it will be stated in your biometrics letter. If i remember correctly, its your passport and biometrics letter sent to you. . 1 Like |

Pipedreams: For my account statements as I plan to submit everything online, do I have to go to a bank branch, get a paper printed copy of my account statement and then scan it or can I just download the one from Online banking and attach it to my application. Also is there any advantage of submitting more than one account statement. |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by ladylco: 4:44pm On Mar 15, 2018 |
kolexinfos: You need to scan the statement collected from your bank. You can put as much statement of account that will proof your financial tie and capacity to fund the trip and back 1 Like |

Morning house, I have completed my application online and I'm supposed to go for biometrics. I'm not likely to meet the date Mar 24th next week due to ill health. I'm not based in Lagos and would have to travel. Is it possible to request an extension to give biometrics beyond one month as originally stated in the letter? How can I do so? Thank you. |

Delealayo:Why would an adult depends of a friend for financial support to go for holiday? Does it mean that you are not financially strong to sponsor your trip? I am saying this because Canada is good in denying people on the ground of finanacisl status. |

Hello all, just found this thread and I must say I'm extremely impressed with the level of information sharing here. Thanks all for doing such a great job of guiding people trying to visit Canada. Ok so my hubby is a Canadian PR who lives and works in Canada and I live here in Nigeria with our daughter. We would like to apply for a TRV so we can visit when on holiday. (He does the visiting for now or we meet up in the US). We intend to come back because we're actually not ready to relocate to Canada fully just yet. I have a good job here and can afford to pay for the trip. I have travel history and I've been to Canada before but I was still single then. Tried renewing but was refused on grounds of purpose of visit 2013. (I was visiting a friend) I didn't bother to reapply since then. Please advise on how to approach this. Is there anyone who has a spouse in Canada and was able to get a TRV? How did you go about it? Thanks. |
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by justwise(m): 7:20pm On Mar 17, 2018 |
Stylequeen: Your profile looks good for a successful application. Your hubby needs to send you the data page of his Canadian passport, proof of accommodation, bank statement and payslips (if he is sponsoring) You need to include your daughter's birth certificate, marriage certificate, employment letter, bank statement, payslips and family pictures preferably those pictures taken during those meetings with your hubby in USA. If your daughter is in school then it helps to include her school papers. |
