First of all, thumbs up to everyone keeping this wonderful thread alive.

I think there is a misconception and I am also part of it.

The term World Class should be reserved for those who have done remarkable things in the game of football and for a long time.

With this, we can see the wonderkid Wilfred Ndidi is not yet World Class. The right term is a high quality talent with the potential of becoming World Class.

With this, Nemanja Matic is not World Class. Mbappe is not World Class but like Ndidi, has the potential to become World Class. So he goes into the bracket of High Quality talent.

Casemiro will take the Top Quality bracket while Neymar, Messi, CR7 and Aguero will take the term World Class.

Potential - Iheanacho, Gabriel Jesus, Ousmane Dembele

High quality - Ndidi, Matic (with time running out might not be tagged top quality, let alone World Class), Mbappe, Lukaku

Top quality - Pogba, Casemiro, Harry Kane, Suarez

World Class - Messi, CR7, Aguero

First of all, Aguero is world class but Suarez is top quality? grin. I know you are a city fan but not even Pep would be that ridiculous.

You place Casemiro as top quality but you want to put Matic in the 'potential' category? I mean Casemiro just became a regular for Madrid two seasons ago and he isn't indespensible. Matic has led Chelsea to premier league titles and is the bed rock of United's team right now but he isn't World Class? That is just....damn.

This thing just tire me. Make una plssss leave Mikel alone ooooo.... We no dey play deeplying playmaker style here... We no dey do regista style akin to Pirlo in his Juve days even tho we know Mikel can do that... We need him up there as the AM connecting the team's fabrics and conducting the pace and intricate flows of our attacking and counter-attacking plays with his beautiful speed of thought and excellent creative genius. Finito (In TheGoodJoe's voice)

Icon4s:

I don't understand why some peeps do not understand this simple fact.

For a team that is blessed with so many DMs you still want to push Mikel to the DM position.

Uhmmmm... Sir Mujtahida. Please this has nothing to do with your discussion with Forgiveness oooo... I just wanna point out a little something on the bolded....

In London 2012, Team Great Britain (other wise called UK) presented a football team that had welsh and English footballers mainly dominating the team. But that Team GB represented all four home nations of UK (Wales, England, Northern Ireland and Scotland). Now this was a one-off and it is even unlikely that we may see Team GB play Olympic qualifiers because in international football circles outside the Olympics, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland all have their individual national teams and will find it very difficult reaching a compromise sef.

Also at the Olympics, we see more of Great Britain in other sports but never England, Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales. Citizens of all four UK home nations (and the three crown depedencies- going deeper) compete under the GB flag (UK flag) in the Olympics.

But at the Commonwealth games, Wales compete under its own flag. Same with England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Just wanted to clear that. So uhmmm.. Nothing more to be said on my part. Just a little something I needed to point out. wink

Mujtahida:

Stop this Bro. Realpoacher says no English player has succeeded outside England. You mentioned some names and erroneously included Bale a Welshman and Lambert a Scot. Instead of you to accept your error when it was pointed out to you, you began talking UK and displaying your monstrous ignorance by saying they are not the same. Did realpoacher mention UK?
A Welsh is different from an English man. They speak different languages. A Scot is different from an Englishman. They speak different languages. They are different nationalities. The UK has never played one single sports competition. Not even one. But England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland are known in sports circles. Accept your error. It's pardonable.

Leicester City Loanee Musa Keeps To His Promise, Opens CSKA Account Vs Lyon

Just over one week ago, Leicester City loanee Ahmed Musa said that he'll soon start scoring, the number seven has kept to his promise by scoring a crucial goal for CSKA Moscow, his first in a competitive game since returning to the club in January, in their impressive 3-2 away win against Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday night.
With the Muscovites losing the first leg 1-0 in the Russian capital last week, they knew they had to score in France.

And after 39 minutes of play they went in front thanks to Aleksandr Golovin's goal but they could not hold onto their lead, with Gnaly Maxwell Cornet equalizing twelve minutes into the second half.
Two minutes later, Musa's moment came, the Super Eagles star took advantage of his marker's indecisiveness and sent the ball into the net from close range.

Just five minutes later, CSKA found themselves firmly in the driving seat as Pontus Wernbloom doubled their advantage, only for Mariano Diaz to volley the ball into the back of the net to make it 3-2 in the 71st minute.

In a tactical substitution, Musa was replaced by Brazilian striker
Vitinho in the 73rd minute.

The Nigerian has now made 35 appearances in European competitions and has tallied seven goals in total.

Who recalls this fine lad? Chinedu Madueke who wore jersey no.11 for the class of 2015 Golden Eaglets...

Swedish Club Kalmar Testing Nigeria World Cup-Winning Midfielder

Swedish club Kalmar have handed a trial to Nigeria U20 international Chinedu Stephen Madueke with a view to signing him before the close of the winter transfer market in the country.

Kalmar have informed via their official website that Madueke will be monitored at close quarters when their U21 team face Helsingborg's IF on Monday.

The 19-year-old was part of the Golden Eaglets squad at the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup in Chile, and was involved in matches against Croatia, Brazil, Mexico and the showpiece vs Mali.

''Chima Akas and Chinedu have the same advisor and from there we have got the tip," says sports director Thomas Andersson Borstam to kalmarff.se

"He's an offensive player who is technically skilled and good speed, who can play both midfield and forward.
''The important thing now is that he gets to know Kalmar FF and that we get to know him. Then we'll see what's happening further.''

Chinedu Stephen Madueke was registered as a player of Virgin Kids FC during the U17 World Cup, he is currently on the books of Portuguese club AD Camacha.

England has tagged behind due to their illusion of believing that huff, puff, Kick and follow football was their identity. However, with the step up in promoting good technical football in the EPL, with the likes of Guardiola, Klopp, Conte and others, the English team will get better. The challenge they have in sticking to managers that play the old English brand of football while lots of their top players play under possessive managers.
Their academies are also promoting good football and with time, England will produce better quality players.

Tagged behind in what area?

Reign or no reign cheesy
How can someone rate Aguero over Suarez
Suarez that has proven himself in various club front Ajax to barca
Suarez that missed a couple of matches for Liverpool and still finished as top scorer in England and was joint euuropean golden shoe winner with ronaldo that season. And when he came to Barcelona he outscored both Messi and Ronaldo and won the European golden shoe

Suarez is two best striker in the world

Aguero, Lewandowski and whichever world class 9 currently playing is yet to win golden shoe; whereas Suarez has 2 in this era of Messi and Ronaldo

So whoever says Suarez is not world class is delusional especially because of the way Suarez won it at Liverpool despite missing several matches

Suarez is simply the best in his position at the moment and non compare

Where has Aguero reigned exactly? Has he ever been the top scorer of any league? He has played for Atletico, nothing, Man City, nothing. Suarez has been the top scorer of the Eredevise(many times), top scorer of the Epl(despite missing more than 10 games), La Liga as well. Aguero is in no way World Class because then you'd need to include Harry Kane as World Class. Name one thing that Aguero has achieved that makes him world class.

If Casemiro is World Class because of two seasons of winning the champions league then Cambiasso is also a World Class legend, what he achieved with lesser teammates at Inter beats Madrid's achievement. Just one question, how many of the Ucl games did Madrid win because their defence was water tight? Casemiro wasn't exactly the influential figure all through, and he wasn't part of the 2013 winning squad.

@all, you guys are witnesses to the crude and needless insult by forgiveness cos if I go the road he wants me to go on this thread, you guys will be surprised cos its mud I going to pour out and it will surely foul up this place. I don't tolerate insults to my person especially in this instance where I have been as civil in my exchange with him.

Don't worry bro, I have reported him. He should be served a ban for awhile so that we can have our peace from his fallacies and nauseating arguments angry
