President Muhammadu Buhari will tonight meet with principal officers of both chambers of the National Assembly.

The meeting will hold at the New Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, confirmed this to Daily Trust this evening.

It was gathered that the meeting would discuss, among other things, issues surrounding the delay in the passage of the 2018 budget.

About time. It's a shame the national assembly cannot pass the budget almost five months after it was presented to them. If the president had presented the budget late into December last year, they would have blamed the delay on the executive. They got the budget relatively early and still can't pass it mid March yet they earn N13.5million monthly as running cost.

Except NASS want to pass vote of no confidence through budget, they need to pass the budget on time. Forget about exchanging gifts.
