Denn, leave all these holy sinparty crew. They shout fraud all the time and they have nothing to say than to hurl insults at themselves. There is not one single initiative from them. They are the spots without water, not afraid to speak evil against dignitaries but internet never forgets. They left their reasoning caps elsewhere and decide to spew insults. When someone does not have any superior talk to counter an opinion, they resort to abuses. An escape route that exposes their cowardice. I went to cars45 yard yesterday and I saw the warning all over. Cars45 don' sell cars but they sell through registered dealers. No refund after purchase. Bring your mechanic along. The girl has not revealed the name of the dealer to date, the car report she was given, the expert she took along that has only the ability to drive. Yet they are crying ripped off along with the praise singers with no proof. Name the dealer and show the report, no way. Autojosh took time and did what no one shouting fraud could ever do, arm chair critics, and yet the girl is no longer on the radar to respond and the sinparty crew are holding fort for her. The ones that are empty upstairs resort to abuses because they feel they are superior when they abuse their betters. A low esteemed person criticises while the superior ones reprimands. Check obj letter to buhari. Reprimand and not criticise. Others will call the buhari a fool and a fool is your president and yet you forgot that the leader who is a fool is leading fools. Cars45 rip off a girl who is buying a naija used cars and you guys are shouting fraud. The matter has not brought out any iota of regret that we should fight against things that destroys our cars, that we should take the campaign to all nooks and corners that even if there is no money to maintain cars, use better spark plugs, better oil. You will find that your efforts will go a long way in reducing the hardship that Nigerians go through before they decide to sell their cars for their peace of mind. Rise up , armchair critics, from your slumber and do something for your country. Keep blaming buhari for your inadequacies while buhari is making history in his chosen path. Siddon dey look and the next generation will hiss over your inability to do something to better the society. There are many ideas in the cemetary but cars45 chose to come out and solve a critical problem in the society and you all are calling it fraud. Bring out yours. Like Mtn will say, go start something 4 Likes 1 Share |

And a quick one, if we put pressure on all the oil companies selling obselete oils like sooperrescue is doing, we will have good oils in the country. Go and start something o and let us expand the playing field even though it is not choked up now. Automedics training invitation is still open. Avail yourselves the opportunity to be a better Nigerian. 3 Likes |

Haba Why do we like insulting ourselves on this forum which is rather unfortunate. We are all entitled to our own opinion and views. It is immature to call forum members derogatory names and we won't gain anything from going down this route. What everyone is doing is just to state their views here and expect people to understand their view point. Op has stated a case of frauds without any evidence and we here are all fighting ourselves.Despite Cars 45 process of pasting known faults on vehicle. We have had series of grievances levelled against auto parts sellers, car dealers and Auto repairers on this forum and Evidences were provided which made it easy for us all to align and resolve some of the cases. Its unfair to call people fraud without evidences. We have seen videos been circulated on whatsapp attempting to destroy big brands. Can we just respect our selves and stop the bullying online. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I SAY THIS, CARS45 are scam and dishonest. i wanted buying a c class and called kingreign but he was busy so i left akwa ibom to lagos with my mechanic, we saw an ad of a 2005 c230 kompressor and called its seller who took us to their ikeja office adjacent mobil station. saw the car, my mechanic wasn't able to scan or drive it reasons known to the cars45 staff who wore their id card. the car was clean inside out we asked for papers they said the paper was avialable and after payment we were given the document which i didnt check due to my being late. we started driving and towards berger ojodu its engine knocked. we towed it to ladipo got new engine only for the mechanic to tell me they brought that same car to him and he adviced them to replace the engine and gearbox as the gear stops selecting when its hot. long and short i replaced both engine and transmission. only to discover they only gave me some copies of the car papers and not all. i spent 480k to put that car and its document back in shape. 9 Likes 4 Shares |

No wonder you are seeking for a pound of flesh. It is the reason why we need to sit up and pass the information around. A Mercedes compressor is a supercharged version and so it does not tolerate our fuel and coupled with the 20w50 oil, the engine will pack up followed by the gear. It is glaring that the previous owner having destroyed his car thru his stinginess quickly offloaded the car on them and the new buyer had to rectify what the previous buyer did. Is it cars45 error of judgement buying such a car? Now you are crying fraud and you are not taking any initiative to stem the root cause of why naija used cars are crappy. The oil, the plugs and the many ignorance of the practitioners in the field. If your mechanic could not detect sludge in that engine before allowing you to pay, then he is the Uyo version of kazeem. And you are blaming cars45 for buying the car in that dismal state and selling in that same state. I think they should engage good mechanics as their consultants to verify cars before they purchase it from the owners. Go to the housing estate on the road to Ibom hotel and tell the woman there to give you correct afang soup and not the 2 days own wey you call yourself. I go pay 2 Likes |

helpishere: Just look at this response You just indirectly acknowledged that cars45 do buy a lot of junk cars. They then get middlemen (agents/dealers) to sell scrap to unsuspecting customers or people with no flair for troubleshooting automobiles on a commission basis. At the end of the day, they absolve themselves of any liability and direct you back to the middlemen. Your case is beyond me 7 Likes

afangsoup: Did you read the inspection reports? The ladipo mechanic advised to change engine and transmission because transmission stops working when hot? Can you see the logic the mechanic used? Read that part slowly please. You were in a hurry and could not read the documents given to you (which also contains a hardcopy of the inspection report). You left akwa ibom to come buy a car in Lagos but suddenly you were in so much of an hurry that you could not spend 10 minutes to go through a report and discuss same with your mechanic. You even had a plan of driving a used car you had no history with all the way to akwa ibom from Lagos just few minutes after purchase. What preventive maintenance did you or your mechanic perform before the journey? What caused the engine failure? Can you itemise what you spent the 480k on (cost of complete engine and transmission in ladipo is not up to that) 3 Likes |

@helpishere, I did an underground search and i discovered previous owner was an offshore engineer. i called him and he told me he bought that car himself in usa, he used it and shipped it here he serviced it with mobil 1 and fusch personally. he gave it to his brother when he was relocating back to usa. back in akwa ibom, my mech is competent and i still get advices from kingreign. now you see you're a busy lice. 6 Likes |

helpishere:seriously u sound dumb here. One thing I know is that they are scam. But I must state this. If they are an auction house, then there is no crime saying one cannot test or drive. Auction houses have this as is policy. Copart and other auction house abroad also don't allow starting and test driving. But this ur epistle is saddening. Means they gave a false report of the car to the buyer. They are a perfect definition of daylight scam. 1 Like |

People are funny o. How will one actually agree to buy a Nigerian used car without test driving. I visited the 2 warehouses of cars45 in Ikeja when I was trying to buy a car. After they told me they don't test drive coupled with their dealer lieing to me that an obvious engine oil leakage from the car I went to inspect is from the power steering, I decided never to buy any car from them. Whether they agree or not, there is no full disclosure of the state of the cars to intending buyers. The worst mistake one can make is to depend on that their report. It didn't take me 5 mins of going through it to know its not reliable. I can only buy a car there if its way too cheap. Most cars there are crappy but overpriced. After my first visitation, I avoided all their adverts because I don't trust them. After 2 months of searching for cars online, I got a very good deal and I am very happy. IMPORTANT NOTES WHEN BUYING A NIGERIAN USED CARS *Never be in a hurry to buy a Nigerian used car. Don't be moved by dealers telling you that another person is coming to pay for it next minute. Do all due diligence inspection and analysis. *Almost all dealers are liars. Only believe what you see on the car. Don't believe that "the Ac needs gas topping". If its that, the dealers would have done it. The problem is always bigger. *Target individual sellers when trying to buy. You will get better deals and also understand how the car was used. *Crosscheck and verify all documents before you pay. If he refuses to show you the documents till you pay, just walk away quietly. 12 Likes 1 Share |

chibjohn: Used car sales people are well documented master manipulators. Always approach them with extreme caution and suspicion. They are afterall, by definition, attempting to get you to purchase vehicles with hidden faults at the highest possible prices. Never mind all the agents here trying to whitewash the system. 8 Likes |

@helpishere and Denn With your latest response to afansgroup story, it's now that I know you people no well at. You no well at all at all. They took a car to mechanic who told them gear was gone and engine faulty and they sold the car just like that to someone who came from Akwa-Ibom not minding at where he may get stranded. Car 45 is not just a scam company, it is one without conscience. It's not just that they scam people, scam is their business model for reaping super profits from their auto-sales outfit. These guys need to be shut down 6 Likes |

like is said since the beginning of this thread just go to their warehouse with a mecho that knows his onions and u won't buy a thing why would someone dat has a clean and functional car sell to cars45 at a far lesser value to what he will get in the open market? people seem to forget that if a price is too good to be true, then it is too good to be thru while u can't test drive,u can start the cars there's and den and listen you can take ur time to check and recheck...... and I tell u again,if u knw what u are doing,u won't buy from them even toks cars sellers will tell u his car can fly like a jet....say all sorts just so u can buy I now don't kw why u all are surprised that USED car dealers will be truthful u wanna buy a used car??....due diligence is key 4 Likes |

afangsoup:And yet the engine knocked and the gear refuses to move when it is hot. For an engine that was serviced regularly. So between the time he relocated and when you bought it, his brother was using mobil 2. And you must have topped the oil with mobil hxp opposite them and bought fuel and with your competent mechanic, you entered the road. Did the mechanic at Ladipo tell you that it was cars45 that brought the benz to him or the previous owner? Did cars45 in the report that was given to you which you refused to read, tell you that the gear and engine are in excellent shape like the body of the car? Who come be mumu pass between you and the op? You carry mechanic go and una car knock engine same day. Op carry driving expert go there and the car overheat after one week. Na you be the mumu. Carry naija used car enter road to Akwa Ibom, not even to Ogere. Haba. Is there a better time to read car reports since you claimed it was late for you to read but yet you found time to trace the former owner by reading the documents given to you after you must have agonised over your ignorance. So cars45 will have to pay because of you and your mechanic incompetence. Shame 3 Likes 1 Share |

Helpishere and Denn, please state why you shifted the point of argument to maintenance history/ culture from the fact facing us that cars45 presented 2 reports for same vehicle, they stated its 2011 when selling, but 2009 when buying... Please sit down and have deep thoughts about all the OP and others who shared there experience have said and if you truly are straightforward state if you think cars45 was totally truthful in their dealings. 10 Likes |
