Please, I am at a crossroad now. I need advise please: between IDP MOD (Ogudu GRA, Lagos) and BC IELTS which is advisable to take? I have gone through the threads from 300 down and I have been following the gist, sincerely I am scared of BC already because of the writing scores but majority were acing IDP's. Secondly, I dont know if IDP Ogudu GRA uses headphones for Listening test and if one can choose when she wants her Speaking test. Finally, the price difference is another factor I am considering, IDP is 68,000 while BC is 75,000. Please I need sincere advise and not insults please. Lastly, does IDP conduct their test on weekends? I went online and decided to book for one but all the available spaces have been booked except for some few Saturdays in May. HAVE READ THROUGH THE PAGES so I need inputs.

Why would anyone insult you? Either IDP or BC is fine, the choice is yours

Guaranteed information is on their websites not on this thread

It's been mentioned over and over that there is no difference. Both bodies are certified to carry out the ielts exam. You are good to go with either one

I am just about starting the process and reading the many testimonies is motivating to say the least.
I visited the passport office in Gwagwalada yesterday and I hope I get my passport by Monday.
Preparing seriously to at least ace 8 in both listening and speaking tests of the IELTS.
Thankfully, the NASU strike has just been called off, this means I can process my licenses as a registered pharmacist in Nigeria, prepare to ace my IELTS and have my transcripts transmitted simultaneously.

I'll stick around this thread more often henceforth, and don't hesitate to provide any information that could be of help like you guys have always done.

Cheers

Would spouse work experience give any additional point?

Is it necessary to fill it when creating an ee profile?

No it won't give any additional point unless it is a CANADIAN work experience.

Rn is evaluated as Diploma in Nursing. Same with RM too and all other diploma acquired in Nursing. Its beeter to assess them with IQAS.

Hi Guys,

For those that evaluated HND as Diploma (three years) and postgraduate certificate (one year). How did you fill this in the ee profile under Education history.

I am particular about the Period and Complete/full academic years options for the postgraduate certificate.

Below is my current WES evaluation.

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY

Diploma (two years), diploma (three years), bachelor's degree (four years) and postgraduate certificate (one year)

Good morning great nairalanders.
Thank you for the wonderful work u are doing on this thread.
Please I need advise and assistance on way forward regarding my application process.

I started this process in October 2016
Wrote Ielts and scored CLB 7 overall
Had my Degree ECA done

I opened an account on sinp but found about no NOC relates to my work experience till August 2017.
Then decided to go through an engineering body in SKS , paid for the membership, had an ECA done but unfortunately I couldn’t asses my degree result relating to Engineering. The courses were way different . I studied computer science and here I have to asses it against an engineering courses, so it was a wasted effort after all.
Then we decided to go through Manitoba express entry .

EOI on 30th January with 569pts
ITA on 13th March
Applied for my Masters to be assessed by WES
Waiting on Lautech to send the transcript

Now my questions for my wonderful brothers and sisters ,

1.Can one use spouse account as Proof of fund ? I don’t have such inflow in my account
2.i read up about gift deed . What is it about ?
3. What are the documents required to submit the application?

Please do not pass by .Help a friend

Cc: Glitteringstar, wealthiest and other wonderful NLs

please how did you go about SKS Engineering registeration. can you please give me full details am interested

RM is evaluated alongside RN. and usually a second post secondary diploma. RN is the first post secondary diploma

[hi rosin, I also applied for eor same day as you. Had my tests on the 20th. How were u reached by BBC? Email? Or did you call them.. Plz assist. quote author=Tosinsho007 post=65889934]Hello Nairalanders, ive been a passive member of this group but i want to post my story to encourage others

i took the ielts test on jan 20th and my result was LRWS 8.5, 8, 6.5, 7.5. i was really upset cuz like so many other people, i felt i did better. i registered for another test for 24th march and my speaking test was supposed to be tomorrow 17th March (Lol money don waste like that)

on the 5th of february, i requested for a the EOR on writing with a time frame of 10-12 weeks in mind but today 16th march (6 weeks exactly) i got my new result and score was bumped up from 6.5 to 8 thats a whole 1.5. CSR went from 408 to 456.

There is something wrong with BC nigeria and i hope this unfair treatment of nigerians is stopped soon. For those who want to remark, please do that by all means and God will favor us all. Cheers!!

Abeg this thing is too stressful and overall very costly. 3 million naira can go down on this stuff and verifications. About 1 million naira Ticket fee is not there o.

Are we beetles? Why can't Canada just forget about all the stories and money spending verifications and just issue visa. Abeg I done tire.
Please some one should suggest me a good country with mechanical jobs or any jobs.
Trecking by road could be the answer to Canada.

It is under Personal details, the first section on the e-APR. When you click on personal details, the first section is titled "Names". under Names, the questions are Last Name, First name and then,
"Has this person ever used any other name? (required)".
If you answer yes to this question, which you should in this case, then it brings up the next tab asking for other names. there you can choose if the "Other Name" was birth name, name before marriage, nickname, son of... and so on and so forth. Filling this section will bring up a place holder in the documentation section after you have finished filling all the personal information. hope this helps. Cheers!

See here and here. They did not submit payslips and got no ADR for it. You can check here for a LOE explaining that payslips are not available. The person here attached bank statement though. You can redraft this kind of letter to suit your own situation of payslip unavailability.

Hi All, this thread has really helped me. I'm currently in ip2 since Feb 27th ie after the "glitch" AOR is 30th January and meds passed on 12th Feb. Is it ok to start contacting IRCC as I know ip2 shouldn't last this long before PPR. I don't even know my visa office as I sent a mail requesting same but got a generic response that all such enquiries should be on the Web form on the site. I went there and that's a long thing.
I know people have successfully gotten response from IRCC for their visa office, status of application, GSM notes, CSE. Please what's the procedure? Many thanks

Try and relax. Don't let anxiety take over. Feb 27 wasnt really a glitch for PR applications. My opinion is that this new IP2 we are seeing today might just be the new NA2. I don't think new applications will see NA2 in their background checks. I stand to be corrected though. This new IP2 means that they are just starting your background check unlike in the past where they only update your status with IP2 when in fact the have already concluded you background check and are about to issue you PPR mail.
For the VO issue: After the 'glitch', I assume they started getting lots of mail for VO cos people are having the same belief that they are supposed to be receiving PPR mail soon. It may have been overwhelming and they just stopped responding.
All these are my opinions o. Not fact. But if you take it into consideration, you may actually save yourself the stress of worrying over your application status.
I haven't even logged on to check my application in a week.
When they are done with their shakara, they will send my golden mail. grin

Congratulations to all those that aced their IELTS and those that received PPR especially to glitteringstar.
To all those that had minor setbacks, remember this from Denzel W; True desire in the heart for anything good is God's proof to you, sent before hand to indicate that it's yours already, and ANYTHING you want good, you can have. So keep seeing those high scores in the face of a bad result, keep seeing that ITA in the face of increasing CRS score. If you see it long enough and work hard towards it, it will be a matter of time before it becomes reality.
You too will share your testimony soonest.
