Soro niyen? Na talk be that? I swear some of us are infected with an obsession for anything foreign. Truth is I have often canvassed for the inclusion of foreign born players but to just open wide our legs and say a player like the German born guys should have automatic slots(yes it's automatic if it's given to them without them giving performances to merit it) is shocking to me.

If Gabriel Okechukwu or Ajayi are given an automatic slots we would condemn it to high heavens but for Torunarigha it's automatic. Is that how to build a team?

Did Mikel, Moses, Onazi, Ndidi or all those we are sure are going to Russia get automatic slots? Didn't they merit their places as first teamers through consistent top level performance? Or on the bench because of their showings?

Foreign, home, naija born, London born or German the benchmark is performance. Nothing less
I used to tell you some of us are really foreign freak and we intend to be biased when it comes to sensitive issues.

Think of it we lowered the standard of goalkeeping to division three even regional league just to absorbed the FB but truth be told it's absurd considering a youth keeper with no experience for super eagles even if keeper like Akpeyi is not convincing.

Now to Bundesliga trio,i specifically watched Uduokhai and Akpoguma this season and of late Torunarigha. No doubt they are good guys that will add value to our team but not on automatic slots especially for WC.

Uduokhai,Akpoguma and Torunarigha are normal footballer like what we have presently with no clear distinct except having real fundamental basic knowledge of football which cannot be taken away from them but without sentiments attached ,it would be a huge task for them to displace any defenders even Omeruo

I see some criticising Omeruo for best reason know to them forgetting this is a young lad with WC experience and is doing well for his club though tbaba1234 said he should be blamed for his side three goals but we forgot that if we want to base it on weekly performance some of our players would not smell national team

They cannot be having outstanding weekly performance always,so normal to have one or two matches that they failed to live upto expectations but that should not be a yardstick to judge them or to make us believe they are not good enough cos of some foreign born players who turned us down but seeing WC as an avenue to explore.

WC slot to Torunarigha would be a greatest mistake from Rohr and NFF cos it can destabilize the unity of the team and they should take a cue from Cameroon national team who did similar thing for the likes of Assou Ekotto, they paid dearly for it.

Let these FBs come to camp and prove that they are better just like Ebuhei,Idowu and Aina did recently and the team would be better for it.

Not against the German guys but they should prove to us that they are better and convincing

Let us be clear.. I am for the best players making the team. Any German boy also has to prove that he is up to the task.

I feel Rohr does not have that full confidence in Omeruo because he has left him out a few times. That is why he is looking at the German boys. It is more than likely that he will be the culprit if one of the them joins the team.

Dem no suppose dey d same class except say senior repeat class. grin

Is that one not shameful? grin

Make senior dey follow Junior dey drag point for the same class. grin

See as he wan lie say na me dey start the argument. Mtcheww! grin
Bros football no be by seniority o. If not na papa Peter crouch suppose dey carry highest goal scorer every year where small boys like harry Kane dey. For now Nacho is better than Tammy wen u consider playing minutes attained recently plus recent goals and assists. They are both young lads and they have time on their side in achieving greatness more than the other. For now, I go with Nacho.

Joel Obi Returns Fully To Torino Training, Set For Super Eagles Friendlies
17, March 2018

Torino midfielder Joel Obi handed the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr a major boost ahead of the friendly matches against Poland and Serbia next week by returning to training with the Serie A club ahead of Sunday’s league clash against Fiorentina.
The Super Eagles face Poland on Friday and Serbia four days later in World Cup warm-up matches.

Obi missed Torino’s last game away to AS Roma due to a suspected knockand was reportedly doubtful for a return to the Super Eagles.

But according to the official website of Torino, Obi completed the training on Friday and could be named in the matchday squad for the clash.

“Bonifazi and Joel Obi returned to the group and played the entire session with the team mates,” Torino stated.

Obi’s invitation to the Super Eagles is his first in two years since he missed out on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Obi has scored four goals and provided two assists in 18 Serie A games for Torino this season.

Our CBs are Ekong, Awaziem and Balogun. Rohr has shown that he does not have much confidence in Omeruo. Agbo is more like a utility player but Rohr has not played him either.

I think, Rohr is still on the look out for one more CB that he can trust.
Yes Ekong,Awaziem, and Balogun and possibly Omeruo if he can convince Rohr more.

On Agbo I think things will get clearer soon cos really surprised this guy keep on getting invitation. It's not about being utility but something only Rohr can explain.

5. recent form. Iheanacho is performing. Tammy isn’t. You are as good as your recent games.

realpoacher:

Liar at bolded. .. From your pictures, they both have 7 goals but from these statistics I will choose iheanacho any day, anytime because

1. he achieved in 1000 minutes what it took Tammy Abraham 1800 minutes to do.

2. Secondly he is in a bigger club than Tammy. Leicester has won the league Swansea hast

3. KC has more pedigree than Tammy and had Proven himself at Man City before his move to Leicester

4. He is more stabilized in the SE

Still not a good enough reason to give any player automatic slot. Mention just one player that we have who had an automatic slot from Mikel to Musa to Moses down to the latest recruits Ebuehi and Idowu. So why the exception for these guys? They must fight for their places. Nothing like automatic.

This is just your preference for anything foreign speaking not necessarily common sense. I doubt if komekn will just agree that any player should have an automatic slot. This is an excess taken too far

I think Rohr who is chasing and luring them with World cup slots is not doing it with common sense!? grin
