Put Ndidi's ball winning attributes in a big club and it will help them win trophies..

But even without so much assists, the coach already spotted Ndidi as his most important player.

I totally agree with you here.... Do you know why Mikel doesn't get the credit he deserves for all his years at Chelsea... Why his world class status is still debatable.... Because he has like 2 goals.... 5 assist in 10 plus years at Chelsea.... Please check d stats.... I am not very accurate here.... Pundits and fans always complained about Mikel giving sideways pass, keeping it simple and stuff... Mikel was a very good dm fr Chelsea, never flamboyant.... I want more from ndidi... He can be our superstar... And really put us on the world map

i am beginning to like your criticism , what club will you recommend for that lad ... klopp kind of coach will make Ndidi a better dm ... what do you think

yes boss.... You know a real top top quality player can take a game by the scruff of the neck and change it... A moment of magic or brilliance... The guy was everywhere..... Ndidi doesn't have that in his locker yet.. That wow moment.... Heart skipping move that can turn a game on his head. .... Let's say Nigeria is in dire need of a goal...who do we look to for inspiration... Who makes something happen.... Not ndidi for me.... This is the point I have been hammering. ..... Tackling alone isn't enough to break the ceiling into real top top quality. . Superstar...... He is on the rise though. . Great performance from ndidi tonight.... Better days ahead....

You are a funny guy walahi. ... At the bolded, Nigeria's second goal against Argentina scored by iwobi, who initiated the goal ?.. undecided

When iheanacho lost the ball, ndidi won it back aggressively by challenging two Argentines and won the duel, recovered the ball, passed it back to iheanacho who then found iwobi through a cutback before iwobi scored.

Ndidi gave us that "wow" moment by helping us to equalised that day. The key word here is "aggressively" . ndidi is aggressive, hungry, and determined for success.., such a player is dangerous any day.

Secondly, ndidi is not a striker, nor attacking midfielder. His job is not to score goals nor even to create them, his job is to shield the defence line and displace the opposing players off the ball, this he does very well. Therefore I will advice you to limit your criticism of him and allow him do his job peacefully.

When you berate him, remember Sergio Busquets and compare how many goals he has scored or how many assists he has had, ...very few I guess. Yet is arguably the best DM in the world,...and Barcelona isn't complaining about his simple job of tackling and passes.... Leicester city isn't complaining about ndidi's own as well.

Comparing him to kante is hilarious because while kante play as a Central midfielder, ndidi play majorly as double 4 i.e a dual DMF with iborra.

mogbe..... I am not berating ndidi ooooo... Plz. . Sorry if it comes across to you that way.... The Argentina game was only a friendly.... And your last paragraph is really funny to me... Kikikikkikikiki.... This definition you create just to suit your narrative.... Double 4.. So Kante de play for triple 6.....

You just use rope tie yourself by mentioning busquets.... Who offers so much going forward in terms of passing, dribbling etc..... Busquets wey sabi dribble pass Mikel... Naim you de mention...

Maybe I should restate my position on this ndidi matter..... He is excellent to me but just at one attribute which is Tackling.... If and when he improves other aspects of his game he will be a worldy...... Top clubs will queue for his signature.... For now he is just outside the bracket..... Come to think of it I am beginning to sound and criticise my own player like mourinho.... Hmm.... Blik I go slow down small.... Mek men nor vex for me for this place...

@bolded...

Gbam!!!! Ndidi even beat the grass with his fists in a show of absolute passion after that goal went in because it was a reward for his effort in winning the ball back and setting up Nacho who then found Iwobi beautifully.

Ndidi is not there yet but he offers us so much from his role in midfield... He is dangerous and his octopus legs can win us games and get us goals...

Oga, when you are giving live updates like this after every story you say you give the scoreline and number of minutes played. With all your updates I had to resort to livescore.com to actually find out the score line and number of minutes played.

It wasn't a score update I clearly called it breaking news. A near brawl broke out between the Libyans and the officials and I just happened to think people would be interested in that.

If you haven't then I will say that you are an amateur, a rookie and a novice in this beautiful sport, and as such i will say that no one should take all these your rantings serious.

2006 world cup in Germany, France played most of the tournament with a double 4 in Patrick Vieira and Jean cleude Makalele.

Let's not even go too far since you are still a lil boy who just began watching football recently. The last Man u match against Sevilla in Europa at old Trafford, Mourinho started the match with double 4 , Matic and Fellaini .

We are too biased as individuals when it comes to Naija players. Iheanacho has a little bit of fault in that Chelsea's first goal. Out of 100% he'd get 25, cos he put the ball behind Mahrez and DID NOT open up as expected for Mahrez to give him a pass, thus making Mahrez attempt to dribble and create more space. Mahrez also has 60% fault, Ndidi has 5 just for not fouling and Morgan has 10 for not anticipating to block that Willians pass. Gosh!!! This f%*jing Iheanacho's worship has gotta stop, he ain't the only bloody player for crying out loud. Jeeezzz! I praise him when he does well, and I point his flaws when he under performs. Did he play badly today? Hell naw. He was very good bar that chelseas goal. He caused the MFs of chelsea to foul him a lot. He had a good game. But we should say the truth when it comes to some things. Had it been that roles were switched and Mahrez gave the bad pass to Iheanacho and Iheanacho was the one that lost the ball, most of the people saying Mahrez is wholly at fault now would still say Mahrez is at fault citing the fact that why would he pass that kinda ball to Iheanacho - thus making Iheanacho to adjust to the pass. Habaaaaa. Abeg naaaauuuu, make we de talk truth. I watched the game from beginning till end.
I don't know why you are hyperventilating, honestly

I believe some people here already said he was partly at fault....and really, is 25% anywhere near 60%? 60% means Mahrez took most of the blame, so, what are we talking about?

Nna, biko take a chill pill.

Anyway, on a good note, camp opens tomorrow grin Finally!

You're a good as your last match. Omeruo did well in his last match for the GWG, same can't be said of Balogun.

If we are to even judge by club football, Omeruo has been consistently consistent this season than Balogun!

FACT!

Chelsea is a big team, can awaziem, Balogun or troosk bench any Chelsea defenders?

Now, can you beat that?

Sorry that this came late, been very busy and trying to catch up.
MetalJigsaw:
Omeruo has only been average at best. Balogun has posted several outstanding performances in the Eagles shirt under Rohr. True or false?...

That's the issue... Imagine being loaned out five times by Chelsea.

CAF: Nigeria's Akwa United sends Libya's Al-Ittihad home with referee's help

Libya's Al-Ittihad lost 2-3 on penalties against Nigeria's Akwa United as part of the round of 32 of CAf Confederation Cup.
The two teams finished the 90 minutes 1-0 for Akwa United. Libya's Al-Ittihad won the first leg match 1-0 in Sfax, Tunisia.
Of a devastating impact were the referee's decisions toward Al-Ittihad players.
Libyans scored at the beginning of the match but the referee canceled it on offside grounds, then he sent Al-Ittihad's coach out with a red card for his meddling in the game's decisions taken on the pitch.
The host, Akwa United, played well in the second half and scored a goal, then Al-Ittihad's Mohammed Al-Tabbal tied the score but the referee rushed to cancel the goal on - again - offside grounds, putting Al-Ittihad's players on fire.
He afterwards sent Al-Tabbal off with a red card for his argument for his canceled goal.
Penalties gave the host the three pints of the match and qualified them for the next round, while Al-Ittiahd - burdened by the referee's wrong calls - backed bags and flew back home.

The last 2 matches Balogun played for us had nothing like "doing well" in them except we want to be blind to this fact. not like i am saying we should drop him, all i am saying is that the others aren't "as good as we think" when comparing with those we think we can do away with in a twinkle of an eye.
MetalJigsaw:
At least they're doing well in the green jersey, which is the most important thing. Could such be said of Omeruo?

How did you know it's because of Omeruo he's looking at the german guys? assumptions? what if it's to replace balogun, Awaziem or even Troosk? aren't you trying to read Rohr's mind too? irony of life grin grin
tbaba1234:

Let us be clear.. I am for the best players making the team. Any German boy also has to prove that he is up to the task.

I feel Rohr does not have that full confidence in Omeruo because he has left him out a few times. That is why he is looking at the German boys. It is more than likely that he will be the culprit if one of the them joins the team.

What about recent trends? Does that qualify?

Which Centre Back has been dropped out of recent squads including the crucial qualifiers against Cameroon?

It is clear what the pecking order is, right now. Ofcourse, Omeruo can impress the coaches in the coming friendlies but as it stands right now. If any CB will drop out, he is likely to be the one.

Nothing is set in stone. Omeruo can impress enough to even be a starter in Russia. I am analyzing based on what is the current situation now.

kinda like why Switzerland did not invite shaqiri for their friendlies because he asked to be left out because of 'tiredness'..maybe we should seen how we can play without ndidi..anything can happen in a tournament injury or suspension(especially for his type of football)
