I am all for him moving to a top team but he gotta go to a football club where he can play week in week out. Honestly, if he were to transfer to Barca right now, I think he'd be moving about 2 years too soon. What Ndidi needs right now is a place where he could play week in week out so he can develop and build his confidence. he doesn't need a team where he would become a benchwarmer.

I don't mind him going to Liverpool tho. He would definitely get playing time there and Jurgen Kloop can bring the best out of him.

O pari

Thats why I believe that if he gets there first. two seasons is much before he becomes the mainstream of that same position, which we all know Barça needs desperately than they are currently saying.

Nerdie, how you just come finish the poor chap like that now?

TheSuperNerd:

Not one to jump in much but I wanna point out to you that Sir TheGoodJoe and I already deciphered his purpose on this thread since last year. He made a very disdainful comment that prompted myself and Sir TheGoodJoe to truly question whether he wants the best for Nigerian football. We only indulge him further because we are accommodative and try to focus on his fine side as a knowledgeable person "on other matters" but his negativity reeks of odorous odorousness, malignant sardonically-induced comments and his pessimism is an upgrade on the word "pessimism" itself... This guy sees nothing good in our football. The only good and bright thing to him are the foreign euro-flavors especially the English Euro flavor... "the borough club" wink

I am really surprised you are still asking our fine gentleman Komekn what his purpose is when it is so f**king obviously written on the wall.

Komekn comes in the robes of a gentleman with coded sesquipedalianic grandeur to rubbish the rise of a true Golden generation in Nigerian football and render them bunch of jokers... He comes to deceive and sway the heart of Nigerians reading this thread to see that our Nigerian team is so low on quality in fact that we stand not a chance of becoming a super force in time....

But for every negative voice, there is also a voice mightier and more powerful because it reigns from the positive mountain tops and stoops down to clear out any negative weed like the Eagle King swoops to take its prey with Grace and power into the air....

In DC Comics, we have the Justice league who stand against the villains and agents of chaos and negativity. Seeking to inspire and provide hope of a brighter and greater tomorrow and world.

In Marvel, we got the Avengers.... And they do just same. Standing for a better world and for Progress.

On this thread we got "the League of Extraordinary Eagles" (Aka Eagulians/Eaglelians... in Sir Congo4ka's voice... Lol) to stand against the wiles of malignant mockery and negativity against our young generation's rise to golden greatness...

He (Komekn) can dance all he wants on this thread masked behind his gentleman robes and using Queen's English to sound sensible and truthful... But behind that mask is a voice that reeks of so much negativity and subtle mockery on Nigeria's current young generation of footballers.

See ehn... I know he will come out and start telling me to "prove" beyond "reasonable" doubt his negativity... When it is obvious to all or let me say "Most of us". Well, I won't blame him shaa... sad "Color blindness" is quite a deceiver sometimes. *Shrugs*

What can you say to a man who sees things only in English-tinted colors.. His rods and cones have been obviously overcome with a condition called "Boroughocolomia". A special kind of Color blindness I must say... And quite rare in the field.

Ah well.... Cheers everyone... And cheers to you Sir Komekn...

Nice point but I think its important to master that formation. It is very promising judging by the last game and it could be a weapon in disguise for us in the WC

with the kinda player Nigeria team has, playing that formation is reducing our potential especially playing against teams like Poland which am sure is a test game for Iceland.

The formation is for team having better player and more fluid midfield and attack e.g Argentina

Yup. I agree, Barca desperately needs a world class DM. I recommended Ngolo Kante to the board two season's ago (before he transferred to Chelsea) but they ignored my suggestion. The Barca board is a hot mess. I only still support them because of Leo Messi.

Yea that. Plus they miss their old chairman. This new fella, Maria Bartimeou (sp) is basically clueless. Wasn't he the dude who gave Neymar a huge contract extension but when it came for Messi's own, he started sounding some unfounded alarm bells .... forgetting that Barca is Messi's team!

We've been mobilizing to push him out but, unfortunately, there's no legitimate successor yet.

still better than no-name championship players.

Firstly, that's an assumption in terms of better quality.

You may not believe me but I know at least two Nigerian international English born players who have been offered contracts in Turkey, they all refused COMPLETELY.

From thier perspective leaving the championship to play in Turkey is a huge step down and I will not mention names.

Mujtahida:

What is your purpose on this thread na? Ndidi not good enough, Agu not good enough, Iheanacho not good enough. Are you sure you are in the right place? It's like you've missed the road to where you going to ooo.

Cos it's one thing to criticise our players but it's entirely a different negative spirit to start mocking them the way you've been doing since yesterday. And truly chrisooblog was right:sarcasm is not your thing. You are too 'objective' for sarcasm to roll ever so sweetly from your pen.

Let's get objective.

The particular discourse was anchored on comparison and not to other nationals but Nigerian potential players.

Mockery is a harsh word and completely unjustified sarcasm in the context I used it was too underplay the over exuberant over hyping of our players and putting on them attributes they haven't achieved giving us realistic expectations and a better team ethic.

I haven't mocked one player here. Questioned the over hyping and with sarcasm joined the over hype crew. But not with derisory contempt as you claim.

The darling of this thread is KC and rightly so he is the one that showed so much promise.

Give me one instance not two of a derisory comment with regard to KC.

However, What I have said is, I believe he is an excellent player for what he does, But a potential world class player not sure yet a lot of work to be done.

Potential World class to me would mean in the top 10 U21 strikers in the world.

On the other hand Ndidi can clearly join the group of potential world class top 10 DM' s in the world.

And you are hypocritical because you have been amongst those who dismissed with derisory contempt players of UK origin and dismissed the inherent quality of the English league system.

Players I have dismissed with out apology ages ago where Isaac Success admittedly I had insider information.
