Don't forget we are still saying bring back Sone Aluko and Obafemi Martins.
If it's Joel Obi, you weren't the only one who clamoured for his invitation. As for Martins, I'll vehemently disagree that he'd be invited... Aluko no fit even get invite sef.

Russia 2018: five talents aiming at the role of surprise

Federico VALVERDE (1998, CC, URUGUAY)
In all likelihood we are talking about the purest talent that Uruguay is waiting for and on which it will aim for the future. Produced by the Cantera of Real Madrid, he is competing in the first season in La Liga with the shirt of Deportivo La Coruna. The debut with goals in the major national team has exalted everyone at home and the important comparisons, even from Madrid, are already wasting.

Central midfielder, he knows how to dictate the timing of the action even with throws of 40 meters if necessary, even if the best of himself gives it with the filtering passages behind the opposing line of defense. In short, it is a complete modern midfielder useful in the maneuver of the team, suitable for both playing in a line 2 and 3. Equipped with an important physique, 181cm x 76kg, which make it compassionate to sight, it is endowed with a remarkable agility that allow him to juggle even in tight spaces. Also fearsome in the insertions.

In the trio with Bentancur and who knows Torreira, it will be a fundamental element. His ability to think and develop vertical football is able to quickly trigger Suarez and Cavani.

Federico VALVERDE
Age: 20 (1998)
National team: Uruguay - Deportivo La Coruna
Role: midfielder
Preferred foot: right
Value: 5 million euros

this guy is good..watched him in the under20 championship of last yr

This friendly match will afford Rohr opportunity to observe the team closer and see how he can fortify the weak spots in the team. While many Nigerians may be expecting a win, the coach will probably be more interested in some intricacies in the team which many fans are oblivious of.
These friendly matches will not exhibit the proper strength of the team as every player will want to avoid injuries and WC is fast approaching.
I wish the coaches are not distracted with winning instead of seeking for amends where needed.

This is not a new team that is just being assembled.

Every game the team has played thus far has given Rohr the opportunity of having a closer look at the team not just this one.

It is team building in progress.

The expectation is for the team to have improved from the previous weaknesses observed from previous matches.

I for one expect a better play than what we saw against Argentina.

But if we fail to win nothing is lost. We look at our short comings and improve on it so that we have a better game against Serbia.

The momentum of the team is on the upward trend and it is important we sustain and continue to build on it and hit the WC with that form. Not that we lose 4-0 to Poland and say it is just a friendly.

And yes, i don't know football.

Those i was conversing with got my point, sorry you didn't.

Thank you.

there is nothing like Mikel role, the role is attacking midfield, or rather the number 10 role...mikel against Zambia first leg played a deeper role with onazi, yours truly iwobi played that attacking role

And yes iwobi was groom to be an attacking midfielder due to so much attacking talent in the arsenal team like Ozil his shifted wide sometimes, even almighty Mikel experience same thing while at Chelsea.

Bros you dont know me and I don't know you, don't let discussions like this get to you.

you said iwobi tends to play rubbish when the ball is with him for long, and without more argument from me I said his rubbish got us to the world cup and I pray he continue the rubbish that will bring goals in russia, I said that because is obvious you have little knowledge about football.

In super eagles iwobi is one of our best in terms of ball retaining and keeping possession, he was train by arsenal youth academy; they are thought to retain the ball...
Take it easy bro... The fact that he mentioned Iwobi playing "rubbish" ATTIMES ( which is a fact) doesn't mean he knows nothing about football.

And he's not implying that Iwobi is a bad player either. But go and re- watch Iwobis previous games in the green shirt especially against Argentina.

Iwobi is a very talented footballer but he's the kind that gives away possesion in an awful manner sometimes.

In football you have to maximize your strength, we dont have pretty playing midfielders like Spain or Germany, but we have tough tacklers, we have to use them well, our strength is those tough tacklers

We are sure building a team for the future, presently we should not get our hopes too high even when they fail to win, we should stand by them and allow the coaches do their jobs. Personally, i see friendlies as inconsequential and unconnected to the WC proper
Bro, don't be deceived by our thrashing of Argentina in last game, at the WC those guys will be a totally different bunch of players

How Super Eagles Line Up In 4-2-3-1 Formation During Training Session, Idowu Picked Ahead Of Echiejile

Owngoalnigeria.com has obtained details of how the Super Eagles of Nigeria lined up in their evening training session yesterday which was supervised by coach Gernot Rohr.

The team had a practice game with coach Rohr separating the players into two teams for a practice game which ended 3-1 in favour of the team that looks likely to start (Team lineup A).

Ikechukwu Ezenwa had his first session with the team, and he was in goal for the team many believe is the B team while Francis Odinaka Uzoho manned goal for the A team.

The shock inclusion in the A team was Brian Idowu who started as left back for the team that had lost of the likely starters. His selection ahead of Elderson Echiejile and Ola Aina was the only major change in the team A.

Line Up Team A:

Francis Odinaka Uzoho ( GK)

Shehu Abdullahi

Brian Idowu

Leon Balogun

William Troost-Ekong

Wilfred Ndidi

Ogenyi Onazi ( Joel Obi)

Kelechi Iheanacho

Alex Iwobi

Victor Moses

Odion Ighalo

Line Up Team B:

Ikechukwu Ezenwa ( GK)

Ola Aina

Elderson Echiejile

Chidozie Awaziem

Kenneth Omeruo

Uche Agbo

Joel Obi ( Eddy Onazi)

Moses Simon

Ahmed Musa

John Ogu

**Shedrack Obi

Iwobi can't play the role Mikel handles for us.

Enough said, i can't argue with you oga. we wouldn't be asking for a replacement for Mikel if Iwobi was a fit. that you don't know this says alot.

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea right-wing back Victor Moses was one of the top performers for the Team A during Wednesday afternoon's training session at the old Śląsk Wrocław stadium, Oporowska street.
After the routine exercises, manager Gernot Rohr divided the twenty two fit players in camp into two groups for a practice game which Team A won 3-1.
Moses only appeared for official activities on Wednesday morning, however, he performed well during the workout and is really showing in training that Rohr can count on him to carry the team.
Rohr hinted that the Blues number fifteen is the designated penalty taker for the team in the absence of influential midfielder John Obi Mikel.
Moses opened the scoring for Team A when he converted a spot kick, before Leicester City loanee Ahmed Musa scored the pick of the goals with a shot from outside the box to restore parity for Team B.
Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi added their names on the score-sheet for Team A.
The Super Eagles will have their final training session at the Municipal Stadium on Thursday evening, starting from 1900 hours.

This report is actually different from the first one we saw, more reason why we need to be careful with written reports, according to this report Moses from Team A scored the first goal.

That said, I notice Rohr already assign our penaltys to mikel with Moses his assistant, i thought it was Nacho
