RabbiDoracle: On a serious note, if Trump is able to start a trade war between US and China. How could it impact us (Nigeria)? What will be the impact on the strength of dollar and vis-a-vis foreign investors having to export/import dollars to/fro Nigeria? Where will we stand in the scheme of things? 1 Like |

mendes911: Chinese will have to impose sanctions on the US goods as well and it may get out of proportion. They could hit the steel(based on law of reciprocity), agric, manufacturing sectors etc It could spiral out of control. Investors should be on the sidelines and hold cash. They could reinvest in their markets after they have seen it is low or move it else where. I doubt if it will affect Nigeria like that. Wetin concern us. 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 9:39pm On Mar 22, 2018 |
Agbalowomeri: Ban on steel will affect lots of sectors. If the steel prices increase, production cost of products made from steel will increase. Oil production cost will increase because most of the assets in the oil sectors are made of steel. Just think of anything made of steel. Alternative routes will be found by the US instead of using Chinese steel. This will seem to spur development in other countries that supply US and even to US because they will develop their steel sector aggressively. China will need to find another buyer or concede to the tarrifs. However China will find where to hit the US that it will hurt it. Especially where US has comparative advantage over China. If China economy slows down as a result, oil demand may fall. If oil demand falls and supply stays elevated, I think that is where it will affect Nigeria. |

Lafarge Africa will declare a paltry dividend of between N1.50 and N2. The impacts of the fund raising exercise should be felt in their financial performance this quarter. 1 Like |

RabbiDoracle: Best bargain for now sir...and save oneself from Naira disaster to come. The clarity and the hand writing on the wall about this coming election is shady. The current president hasn’t declared his intention and many more...Cash preserved will surely work well for better promo. Let’s try and act softly with uttermost caution. All the best to us all! |
