My thought exactly. This guy sold whatsapp to Mark but now wants the facebook to be buried. I know the benefits of what facebook has helped humanity accomplish,connecting the world, especially long lost friends, no social media has come close.

Can you imagine, facebook has all your details and photos and that of your family and friends and the best part is that, you are even the one that FREELY gave it to them.

Because I’m also using their services for free. Only paranoid will care over data sharing, if you don’t have anything in your cupboard no need for panic.

Well, I stopped posting pics on Facebook since early 2016. The only thing I use Facebook to do is to read news and visit some educated site via it. It is a project of Echelon (5 eyes).

developers use facebook's graph api to get access to your data.
once access is granted to those apps, your data can be used for lots of things (data mining)

Deleted my Facebook account with over 1000 'friends' in April of 2013 after too many amebos and secret stalkers were using my information (that I willingly posted) to spread rumors, cause fights, and embarrass me. So I did the needful and never looked back. Can't wait to celebrate my 5 year anniversary from that diabolical, vacuous, time-wasting, nonsensical site. cool

Facebook is a great and useful platform both personally and professionally.

It all has to do with self-control. If you lack self-control then you should probably stay off of social media.

There's only one gripe that I have, I spent too much time having to check my settings to set things to private instead of public.

I've been able to find long lost friends on Facebook, this could not have happened elsewhere.

I will not delete Facebook but I will continue to monitor my privacy settings.


You're so smart, a lot of people don't look inot their privacy settings. I've set my privacy in a manner that no one can post on my wall and I only let you see what I want you to see..
