he's actually right...A lot of people are weak in spelling particularly when writing mostly because our phones and computers have spell checkers built into them and auto complete.

@vickyehi.I have been reading your comments on this platform and found them so helpful. Just need some clarifications on ECA using IQAS. I have BNsc,RN,RM and RPHN,applied to my school for transcript which should include the different certificates to ensure higher points but got a message that RM and RPHN certificates have not been sent to school yet. So,what they sent was transcript and RN certificate.I want to know if they could be assessed differently?Wish to know more from you on how the system works.Thanks.chinmaRoxy.

He wouldn't know the importance because he is done with BC.

Just imagine struggling in the exam hall with spellings like "commitment" whether it should be one or double "t" or "occurrence" whether it should one or double "r".

You have three spelling issues like this on listening section plus the dicey the plural words with "s" you are not sure you heard correctly; a couple of unsure multiple choice and matching heading answers and "gbam!!! 7.5 on listening don hug you o" if God does not intervene.

Hellofax does not ask for reference number. Just look for a space that suits it on the entries you are keying in and place it there e.g you can place it before your name or so.

Hello all, I have applied for my Ielts with British Council and will be writing by April. I have my statement of result, applied to get certificate from my school since January but the certificate isn't ready yet. I want to start my result evaluation with Wes but I'm not sure if I can use my statement of result since cert is not ready yet. Has anyone done eca with statement of result?

Hi,

For those writing IELTS tomorrow, I strongly recommend you try and learn the correct spelling of as many words as possible but not big words like "islets of Langerhans" and co grin, just the common ones e.g "a lot" which I always join together or "grammar" which I confuse with "grammer".

You do not want to lose cheap marks over spellings.Plus "BC no go reason say you suppose add "s" or "a" make dem add am for you" .

For instance: I just learnt how to spell potato today after more than nine years of studying English. choi!!!

If you had all these problems before IELTS, you need to get a refund from your primary school. grin

You can input your reference number using the signature tab on the top left corner. That's what I was advised to do.

Please guys, I have to pay 2450CAD for our application and my bank MasterCard cannot pay more than $1000. However, I have someone abroad who can pay with his MasterCard while I give him the naira equivalent. Will I have to give him access to my account to make the payment? If yes, do you think it is a wise thing to do? Is there any way around this?

Ask him to give you his card details. I always rather be the safe person than the sorry one. Not like he'll mess up your application, but you don't want some friend going through your personal family details. Someone like me, I'm private as heck. So giving him access won't even cross my mind.

He can always ask for a card replacement if you decide to be fraudulent with his card grin

Please in a bid to increase CRS scores, I was wondering if those remedial programmes done by those universities before finally getting admission...some schools call them diploma... but my school(unilorin) call it remedial programme....is it possible to evaluate them with B.Sc to get 2 or more certificates...Has anyone done it successfully or has any idea about it.

Your input is needed please.....thanks house

No, remedial program won't qualify you for 'two or more certificates".

You must have atleast a three-year or more certificate, a diploma, another degree(bsc) or a post-graduate/graduate certificate or diploma in addition to your bsc to qualify for two or more certificates.

Unfortunately, a remedial is a 'pre-degree' and usually not assessed as an equivalent of a diploma in Canada.

I'll tell you a story
My friend Udeme and I sat for JAMB some years ago. My score was good enough to get me admitted into the university, his wasn't. He had to proceed to another school that offered the then diploma program for one year after which he joined the regular degree program as a sophomore. We graduated the same year (but from different schools anyway) and now he's on IP2 because he had "2 or more certificates..." blah blah blah cheesy

Now I wish I didn't pass that JAMB too cry

I haven't heard about the remedial program thingy anyway

FOR IELTS TEST TAKERS

LISTENING MODULE

1. If you have been finding it difficult to understand some pronunciation and follow their accent, it’s time to pause on those Nollywood movies and watch a lot of Hollywood or ‘Britishwood’ or ‘Aussiewood’. Let the movie sha be from UK or Australia, don’t know if Canadians do much of movies.

2. You can also listen more to BBC news and also listen to some podcasts, these will help your ears to charge up for the test and acclimatize your brain power!

LISTENING AND READING MODULES

1. Endeavour to write all the letters of your words in UPPER CASE what we popularly call CAPITAL LETTERS. You don’t loose marks for doing so rather it saves you the stress of missing on ‘nouns’ which usually is penalized in the test..

I wish you all the best in your exams!

I want to be like @mcstan18 but with the green ink impression.. *smiles*
