Austinpee4: Are you certain about the bolded or it's just your thought? Have you or anyone you know attempted to evaluate it? I used to think it would receive a one year diploma evaluation |

@mcstan.....thank you for this story.... I'll try the process of evaluating it with my B.Sc and keep the house posted Please does anyone know how to go about evaluating this again with my B.Sc as I've already evaluated my B.Sc alone with WES or should I go with IQAS instead or do it afresh again. Thanks guys |

A big thank you to all for the contribution on this thread. This forum guided our PR application. I just received ADR for height and eye colour and also employment reference letter for my spouse. I did not claim point for her and put her work history in personal history section. We however have a reference letter from her employer dated back in October, can we submit it or ask the company for a new one. Please help! Thank you 3 Likes |

mcstan18:Certainly not a thought. I saw an ICES report on it hence my submission. Here is the thing, most remedial program usually are not of a continuous assessment but of a final examination and generally to fulfil an entry requirement for a degree program and therefore would not have a recognition of it's own right. The one i saw was assessed as 'one year advanced pre-University certificate' Like you already know, most diploma programs are 'area specific' eg, diploma in business admin, diploma in mass communication etc and are recognised and assessed from the content in that area. A report most definitely would be ' one year diploma in..... ' These two reports have different comparable levels in Canada. So there is a huge difference. Regards. 1 Like |

Austinpee4: Reference to the bolded. Since it was evaluated as a certificate and the option states thus: “Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years.” Doesn't that qualify this person already? If not, what then is/are covered under the term "certificates"? Just trying to clarify for the sake of those who might benefit from this. If anyone has successfully done this with either of the other assessing bodies, kindly indicate. |

mcstan18:I get your point. However, one can only qualify for 'two or more certificate' if the certificate, degree or diploma is three or more years PLUS a post graduate degree/certificate or diploma but not a 'pre-degree' certificate. Hope this clarifies it for you. |

lovetree: Just log on to your WES account and select the "upgrade report" option. You will see the prompt below, select "Yes" for both and complete the rest accordingly

I understand what you are trying to point out here but unfortunately, there is nothing like one year advanced pre-University certificate in the list of certificates below. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/education-assessed/read-report.html mcstan18: |

Please note that the list in your attached is not the complete list. To get Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or: So in other words... A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree PLUS Any other qualification in the various sections below the "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees." will qualify for 2 or more certs.. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/education-assessed/read-report.html Hope this helps? smslive2:Opps! Ermm, Actually, I only shared the relevant list of qualifications. It doesn't include all the results in the full page. Each sections have points allocated and specified. It's certainly not " PLUS any other qualifications in various sections' just the specified one to claim the appropriate point. I hope you don't get it mixed or misunderstood. |

Nope... I respectfully disagree with you SIR. What will a Bsc and College Certificate (for example) give you? A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or: The list of qualifications in that section Why do you think they specified (not including secondary/high school) after mentioning sections below? Because Secondary school (high school diploma) is a section on its own! Austinpee4: |

Hello All, I want to thank you all for the numerous contributions here. I also want to take time to appreciate Onyi888. We finally got our Passports yesterday and we completed our medicals today. Elders in the house, I would like to clarify something. The money I have is not enough to pay the Application fees and the RPRF but I will have more than enough for the two fees in two weeks time. I feel that if I pay the two together, it will hasten the process but the situation on ground is saying otherwise. Can I pay Application fees now and pay the RPRF in two weeks time? Even when CIC has not requested for it? Will they still treat the two different payments as one? Will they be able to track it? Is there any penalty for doing so? Elders, please help your boy. I saw this on this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/fees/immigration/right-permanent-residence-rprf-r303.html Timing of payment Payment of the RPRF will be required before issuance of the permanent resident visa for applications processed at visa offices or the permanent resident record for applicants in Canada. Each contact with the applicant should include a reminder that the RPRF is required, and that the visa will not be issued or the client will not become a permanent resident, as the case may be, until payment is received. It should also be emphasized that early payment of the RPRF will avoid delays in finalizing the processing of the application for those classes where it is appropriate, such as priority family class cases. Other cases, such as family class sponsorships of parents and grandparents, where the processing time is known to be long, RPRF instructions specify that the client should wait to pay RPRF until contacted by CIC. Although concerted efforts will be made to solicit payment at the early stages of processing, CIC must accept payment of the RPRF whenever it is submitted. This is a requirement of the Financial Administration Act. CIC also has no authority to refuse to refund the RPRF upon request of a client who has paid up front or at any time before the RPRF is due for visa issuance/permanent residence status. This is a change to the past policy that RPRF payments already submitted for applications in process will not be refunded, unless the application is refused or withdrawn, or does not result in permanent residence status being granted. Should a client complete all other documentary and regulatory requirements for acquiring permanent resident status but fail to pay the RPRF and complete the acquisition of permanent residence process, there is no legal basis for closing the file or regarding it as abandoned. Please help me interpret. |
