No, remedial program won't qualify you for 'two or more certificates".

You must have atleast a three-year or more certificate, a diploma, another degree(bsc) or a post-graduate/graduate certificate or diploma in addition to your bsc to qualify for two or more certificates.

Unfortunately, a remedial is a 'pre-degree' and usually not assessed as an equivalent of a diploma in Canada.

He had to proceed to another school that offered the then diploma program for one year after which he joined the regular degree program from the second year. We graduated the same year (but from different schools anyway) and now he's on IP2 because he had "2 or more certificates..." blah blah blah

Now I wish I didn't pass that JAMB too

I haven't heard about the remedial program thingy anyway

Are you certain about the bolded or it's just your thought? Have you or anyone you know attempted to evaluate it? I used to think it would receive a one year diploma evaluation

Certainly not a thought. I saw an ICES report on it hence my submission.

Here is the thing, most remedial program usually are not of a continuous assessment but of a final examination and generally to fulfil an entry requirement for a degree program and therefore would not have a recognition of it's own right. The one i saw was assessed as 'one year advanced pre-University certificate'

Like you already know, most diploma programs are 'area specific' eg, diploma in business admin, diploma in mass communication etc and are recognised and assessed from the content in that area. A report most definitely would be ' one year diploma in..... '

These two reports have different comparable levels in Canada. So there is a huge difference.

I get your point. However, one can only qualify for 'two or more certificate' if the certificate, degree or diploma is three or more years PLUS a post graduate degree/certificate or diploma but not a 'pre-degree' certificate. Find a screen shot attached. Hope this clarifies it for you.

I just received ADR for height and eye colour and also employment reference letter for my spouse.
I did not claim point for her and put her work history in personal history section.

The primary thing you need is the WES REFERENCE NUMBER that was generated after making payment. Take the reference to your school and ensure that they include the number in your transcript file that will be sent to WES.

You can fax your certificate yourself by using Hellofax.com (WES Fax No. 416-972-9004).

So in other words... A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree PLUS Any other qualification in the various sections below the "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees." will qualify for 2 or more certs..

Opps! Actually, I only shared the relevant list of qualifications. It doesn't include all the results in the full page. Each sections have points allocated and specified. It's certainly not " PLUS any other qualifications in various sections' just the specified one to claim the appropriate point. I hope you don't get it mixed or misunderstood.

Why do you think they specified (not including secondary/high school) after mentioning sections below?

Because Secondary school (high school diploma) is a section on its own!
