Good morning mamas please I have some questions

1. My DDs nose is wheezing like she has catarrh though no sneezing or coughing but any time she is sucking or crying it makes loud noise which makes me uncomfortable. I just bought silver bird oil but I want to know if I'm to add it to oil or how do I use it?

2. I'm 6 weeks post CS delivery and I still look like I'm 4 months pregnant please when can I use a postpartum belt or what do I use to bring it down.

Cc..all mamas
Thank you.

About number 1 new born generally have small airway passages so it often seems like they have cold. However if she is not feeding well then you should mention it to the doctor. I won't advice using silver bird for a baby below 3 months of age as it can actually choke babies.

About number 2 give your body time to heal. Even for natural delivery where hot water massage is started almost immediately the tummy is still a bit big. Don't force it. Give your self at least three months then see with your doctor if you can start light exercise.

1. You can go to the hospital so they check her chest and airways no silverbird if she's not congested please
2. I started using mine after 6 weeks but check with your doctor during your pp check up

1. It may not be what u think, but u can still take her to see a paed so they can check her out...

2. Pls pls pls
Give ur body time to heal...
U had a multiple birth so it may take some time. I didnt even start exercising n all, till my daughter was almost 1 year old...i had a CS too.
Go for ur 6 weeks check n get a clearance from ur DR first... N then u can start with wearing a post-partum belt, but if wearing it makes ur incision site hurt, then u may need to stop o.

My baby says hi to all the wonderful moms here.. tongue

Please what's the normal temperature for a baby, at what point and above is it too high, and also too low for baby less than three months. Her body gets hot sometimes (not extremely though) that i don't know if I should be worried or not.

I want to get this type of thermometer below too, are they reliable?

Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Nobody: 5:03pm On Mar 24, 2018

Hi to my almost namesake

Anything higher than 37.5 is cause for concern. If you get to 38 plus please rush to the hospital. Over 3 months panic at 39

That thermometer is fine, that's what I use too. Using your hand to check is a waste of time.

normal temperature is in the range of 36c - 37.5c .

only a thermometer can help with accuracy. there are times the baby's body feels hot when touched and when checked with thermometer, it will give a normal reading.

I believe the thermometer shown in the pic is ok. I use a similar one made by omron and bought it for 1k during antenatal classes.

my daughter has this same issue, but I dont see any catarrh in her nose, but I occasionally see little stuff like dried catarrh. Sometimes she sound like she's grunting when sucking. I wonder if its because I introduced her to cool air (fan or AC) too early.

Please mamas any idea what to do.
