I just bought the hot 5 lite and everytime i leave an app(lets say he minimizes it)it closes and i didnt open any other app Now i know the phone is 1gb ram but Is it supposed to close Evey time,have used a 1gb ram phone and it doesn't close my app every time I minimize is anyone else facing dis problem

And how can it be fixed

That's not normal. Hope you didn't use a generator to charge it? See mine,(screen shot attached) been browsing on 3G for the past 7 hrs with an average screen ON time of 6hrs and I still have 60% left from 96 %. .

Ideally when on 3G with screen ON , the drop is about 1% per 8mins. Screen ON only or when watching movies it's about 1% per 10—15 mins. You can use that to guage yours. Mine is the 2gb RAM version and it's almost 3 months old now

Screen ON time is the amount of time your screen is ON. Whenever your display is active, your screen is ON.

for example if you want to make settings, watch movies, browse the Internet, make a music selection etc...in short any activity that involves using your screen.

Screen ON time is the greatest battery consumer in smartphones. If you are playing music or just sharing your wifi connection with your screen OFF, it may take about 30 mins before you lose 1%.

For the part of apps not responding, I don't usually get such notifications, so far, it's only the old operamini that crashes frequently and pops up "app not responding" i guess it's not compatible with Android 7.0 because I also experienced similar crashes on a Tecno device running 7.0. The opera is outdated & no longer on playstore. I sent it from an old android 4.4kit kat.

At times my mx player stops responding too when running the seek function. You have the option of closing the app or waiting. If you select wait., Your device maybe forced to reboot after some time.

If you are constantly getting the notification especially when starting an app, check your RAM usage and clear most background applications. And alway ensure not to install apps from unknown sources.

Please anyone who has successfully rooted his phone should guide us through on the steps.

I'm not saying it shouldn't run down, but when you read people's testimony about a particular device and you are pushed to get the same device but you start to notice a different thing you know you'll ask questions whether they're things you're not doing right. You check it out. Calm down and read everyone's complaints and emphatically see things from their own perspective, that's better than just tagging it as being "irritating ".

Yes, its the smooth back variant i got from SLOT. Buy the 360 degree protective case; i bought black. Its just 1K and those roadside sellers have it. It even makes the fone finer while giving it all round protection.

4% loss under 15 mins is not normal, even with screen ON, the drop shouldn't be that rapid. It takes about 1hr for mine to lose 4% while listening to radio or playing music at high volume on loudspeaker with screen OFF.

Can't run more than two apps? That's serious. Check your RAM usage. You can do a quick check by minimizing your currently running app and check the reading. If it's too occupied, you may have to uninstall some apps or freeze them.

I have read similar complains from the 1GB variant users. It shows poor RAM management design from infinix for this particular model. I have used 1GB RAM devices before without any issues and I usually run multiple apps smoothly.

I hate that 360 degree protective case. Because It adds depth to your screen and display. I like seeing everything displayed on my screen very close to the surface just like iPhone displays as if it's printed on the screen surface.

I want to get the transparent back cover. Just like the ones that follow Tecno phones.

Just got the hot 5

Quick round up on the specs.

5.5"
IPS screen

8mp back camera with 5mp front camera

Memory expandable to 32gb

And the 5 has fingerprint, absent in the lite.

Hopefully, we'll be able to answer y'all.

If they are automatically cleared, you can use the lock function.

But all in all, the error still boils down to poor RAM management design from infinix. I have a 1.5GB RAM Samsung that is far more reliable than my 2GB RAM infinix. Minimize any app, do all you like and go back, you will still meet the app right where you left it with no progress lost. Anyway Samsung is in another league

I don't think there is anything you can do about it. 1GB RAM can't sustain heavy apps running in the background. For example I can see instagram in your minimized list. You can be rest assured that you can't minimize IG, switch to chrome or UC browser and still expect to meet IG @ it's initial state.

Android is designed to give priority to the currently running app, if the app is heavy, alot of RAM space will be cleared to accommodate it, forcing other minimized apps to close unless you have sufficiently large RAM space.

My advice, those three apps i listed above consume alot RAM space, don't run them simultaneously. Also when doing important stuffs like registration make use of stable browsers like chrome and UC incase you will have to minimize at any stage even if it restarts, your progress will not be lost. Because that's the most painful and frustrating thing you can encounter with issues of apps closing.

It seems infinix has very poor ram management with 1gb ram devices. I can never forget the frustration I had with the multitasking on hot 3
I was even happy when the phone was stolen.
