That guy still lacks some fundamentals in goalkeeping. Leave confidence aside.

can you explain what you mean by fundamental, 1.his positioning is great
2. he times his running out
3. his punches are strong
4.he dominate in the air,
5. he is very vocal to his defenders even though his young
6. He know how to make him self big in a one on one situation

the performance was not 100% or wonderful but what's obviously lacking is some confidence which improve tremendously as the match continue, is not easy to be on goal against lewandowski, Ezenwa was shaky against average nameless Africa players at his old age

Who else thinks Shehu won't be going to Russia unless Echiejile is dropped? Really hard to stomach but we gotta be real and sincere. I can see and at the same time, feel it.

Who still remember dis post I made on march 3rd?

I love Shehu as much as I love his peers but has he really given us what we want at the right back?

Shehu is a makeshift right back though people confuse this with being versatile. Shehu is good and I want to see him in Russia but there still exists rooms for improvement.

In our DM Shehu does not stand any chance and the fact that he plays as a DM for his club ain't helping matter also.

Now if u want to take Shehu because he is a utility player, there are two positions to study with keen interest ; the DM and the RB.

at the DM, Ndidi, Etebo, Ogu, Onazi even Agu are all ahead of him, hence he has to concentrate on the the RB.

Now at RB, I will personally select Ebuehi as the RWB when I deploy a 3man defence. He is better suited than the other contenders. He has been doing it consistently on the club level and he just showed us a tip of it the last tine the had his back against the wall.

Shehu will come good in a 4man defense (433) but will he do a better job than Aina? Both players are good passers, agile players and almost equal pace wise. I don't rate English bred players but ever since started following the progress of these two players I av come to realize that Aina is more cerebral. The primary assignment of a RB is to defend, then create an impact in the attack. Shehu's defending ability was slightly better than that of, if not on par with Aina's but the Aina I saw lately has improved immensely on that with the WC on sight. Now going forward, the less said, the better. Aina edges Shehu here because he crosses better and times his runs better. Though these things don't make Shehu terrible, I believe Aina is slightly better.

Now why did I say his WC dream depends on Echiejile? Though it's still kinda premature. If Idowu repeats what he showed against Argentina, then it will be so insane to leave him out. With Elderson and Idowu, the left back is occupied but I would rather Elderson got dropped to make Aina a backup to Idowu hence creating a space at the RB for Shehu.

Germany's kit against Spain is totally off considering their flag. I love the color though.
that is their away jersey..the same away jersey colour in 1986 and 1990 world cups.

I saw some on YouTube and all his goals where from the LW and RW...

So, please, tell me how many goals he scored in the CF position in Eupen and Anderlecht?

you just shot your self in the foot, watch that same YouTube, Thierry Henry goals, they are also from the left side of attack

I think Rohr should resolve the deadball issue. Kelechi iheanacho should take any freekick or corner kick from the right. then V Moses(in the absense of S Moses) takes freekicks from the left but Mikel should take all corner kicks on the left. Moses has been really wayward with freekicks and corner kicks, he should quit being a big boy and relinquish such responsibilities to capable hands. Finito!

how many free-kick did Moses take, the first was left for ekong to take, second was taking by Moses, it was well position for a right footer, Moses corner has not been that bad

I saw Totteham play Son as a false 9 in a 4-2-3-1 formation against Wigan.

What do you guys see to us trying it out anytime Mikel is absent.?

I wonder why some peeps here are saying uzoho had an average game
the guy had a very nice game despite his age
he kept against world no 6 in their back yard in front of their fans without conceding a goal despite having one on one with lewandowski and saving his free kick
just because it the mistake he made during the half line clearance by Balogun we no go hear word again
even de gea and Casillas do make errors
take for instance the goal Casillas conceded in ucl final against atletico Madrid in 2014
and the stupid goal de gea conceded against Italy in the last euros despite his experience
we Nigerians love complaining
uzoho only need more games to boost his confidence

oga calm down, ighalo got no supply atall, ighalo is our best player and Poland cut all supply to him, the poor person should be Nacho, he was suppose to go deep, get the ball and link up with ighalo.
Iheanchos inability to dribble and hold possession are his biggest weakness. And those are the factors that made him struggle yesterday.

Ebuehi is more intelligent than him. Just by mere positioning he sniffs out danger. The boy plays with instincts. Even though he's not fully fit he still gave a good account of himself.

to be honest Ighalo played below par yesterday...he was always missing in the opponent team yard box....and could not make use of the aerial balls...not really interesting for me...

I will want Gabriel and Ajayi to be tried out...in the serbia friendlies....and Ighalo rested

He was the best strier on a pitch that had Robert Lewandowski. He held up every single ball and he pressed like a mad man. But just like I said about KI against SA Ighalo did not get the right service.

I know Truth is bitter, but we gonna have to say it. Uzoho is still a Rookie. It's obvious in the Match that he has lots learn as a GK.

We ain't talking of U20 WC or Olympic, rather World Cup. If Uzoho was jittering at the Sight of Lewy, what is he gonna do at the Sight of Messi?!

He's definitely talented, but he's not ready yet to be the Eagles No. 1 at the Russia 2018 World Cup.

The same way Cape Verde was rated better than Nigeria is the same way Poland is rated in the Top 10. We shouldn't pay much Attention to FIFA Ranking, rather what Teams could offer on the Pitch.

This present Eagles Team is a Work in Progress. We should lower our Expectations on them. We should hope Rohr stays and keeps building the Team until it becomes a Force to reckon with in the World.

You are saying something I have known for some time. I may have even mentioned it. KC lacks physical presence and struggles to impose himself on defenders the same way Ighalo does.

Iwobi is use to pretty football at Arsenal and doesn't like the physicality of gra gra football. This is where Etebo has a clear advantage over him.
lol Etebo the chairman of gra gra football. well spoken bro!

Sir let us be analytical here and talk football and don't let us be emotional on mere football issues.

Let us learn from one another so that we can enjoy this great thread. We all watched yesterday match and is a must for us too talk about the positives and negatives of the game.

Minnd you we view football differently and opinions must be differed based on individual knowledge and experience

Uzoho i watched yesterday still has a long way to go and the only way out is to keep on improving in every game.Uzoho against Argentina was more confident than Uzoho against Poland,if you doubt it go and watch the two matches again.

Kudos to Rohr for believing in him and this is what a good coach do and compare Ajiboye performance against Morocco with Uzoho is out of it.

Pls try and swap the two, Ajiboye with great defenders like Balogun and Leon against Poland and Uzoho with defenders like Eze and Orji against Morocco team B,then we can talk.

Truly Uzoho deserve our praise but any criticism should not be termed as personal cos we all want the best for Eagles.

I hope to see Uzoho again against Serbia with more convincing performance.

. How many freekicks did he not take apart from the one Ekong kicked out or the stadium? What about corner kicks? FYI it was in a similar position where Iheanacho scored against Argentina, so he should've been allowt to take that.

I'm just happy u guys are now seeing what I saw and have been lamenting on. Shehu was so poor yesterday. He lacks pace, I was infuriated when he brought down a defender to concede a free kick. Dat defender was a meter behind Shehu when they set out for the tussle, but how the guy overtook Shehu forcing Shehu to foul him was embarrassing.

Sir am not condemning Uzoho and i believe he can do bettter but with what we have in our goalkeeping dept.Dele Ajiboye deserves a chance if keepers like Akpeyi and Ezenwa are getting a look in.

Ajiboye not playing?but is Ezenwa playing?

Sir,Ajiboye was in goal against de sahel in the 2nd leg and even came in in the first half in 1st leg after Plateau had conceded three goals, remember the second choice was doing well in his absence due to CHAN to the extent he was rated as one of the best in the league but Ajiboye is back as number one.

I thought you were referring to Alampasu.

Of course, Ajiboye has been playing. He played CHAN. He also plays in his club side.

Ezenwa conceeded 4 against Ghanian B team, but looked solid against Cameroon, because he was protected by Ekong and Balogun. You can't rule Ajiboye out completely simply because of the Moroccan game.
