I tell u what, I loved Shehu's outside the box foul. I remember last season's el clasico when Messi removed his shirt, Ronaldo shouted "You should have fouled him." This is what Nigerian football misses at times, normally the defender would just watch like a deer in headlight. Also I have noticed that teams believe they can 'punk' us with hard fouls. Poland would have stopped fouling if they noticed that we were going to take it out on Lewandowski. I think he only got fouled one time and that is just pitiful. We need to start kicking people grin I mean not to injure them but to let them know that this is a fight.
Hmm

Do this crap for Russia; chop card yakata and lose all our group matches

Anyways e no possible make anybody listen to this lame advise abi sarcasm cheesy

Victor Moses made his name as a dribbler. Let's be honest Henry doesn't even have a name yet.
he doesn't have a name yet doesn't mean he isn't a better dribbler.. There are many players in leagues that dribbles better than Moses but don't have the name yet we can't say because they aren't known yet then automatically they aren't better dribbler. Most people here will admit they were interested in onyekwuru because of his dribbles and goal scoring capabilities. If there is any other you can tell me?

His performance was good. Great clearance. At least that saved our blushes even though with VAR it might have counted.

I asked because you have said severally how you had no confidence in him because of a couple of below average games. Now that he is playing regularly at club level, the sharpness is better.

Ebuehi saved Omeruo's blushes yesterday when Omeruo missed a ball under little pressure.

U were happy he committed the foul? Why didn't u also acknowledge that he was on the front foot when that ball came in? And how a player who was a meter or too behind him, out paced him to the ball and he resorted to fouling. In a competitive match, that would be yellow.

Bro no one is denying the fact that Uzoho is a rookie and still has a lot to learn. But for Christ's sake this "rookie" kept one of the world's finest finishers at bay. He denied Lewandowski a goal in a one-on-one situation. He was able to stand his ground with a clean sheet against the toughest opposition he's ever confronted in his career as a rookie.

Not many people watching that match all over the world would expect Lewandowski to be subbed off so early in the second half without a goal to his name (Lewandowski was simply frustrated!) if at all he would be subbed,- Making one if the world's finest goal poachers look somewhat ordinary when he was supposed to have a field day against a rookie goalkeeper.

When that one-on-one chance between Uzoho and Lewy popped up. I myself never imagined Uzoho would block that shot that was heading between his legs.

Yes Uzoho was jittery in the early stages of the match but What else do you expect from a rookie playing against in a high tension game away to Poland with Lewandowski?

Bro what else do you want from a "rookie" that survived and kept a clean sheet against one of the world's elite forwards??

Bros abeg tell them....

Rookie this, rookie that,.....

This same Rookie kept Lewandoski at bay yet they are still finding faults. This same Lewandoski many here said that will score a dozen against us. Abi they are disappointed we were not decimated ni? undecided because honestly me I no understand again o!

Same too. it looked like the Welbeck dive Vs Milan in the Europa cup. But the ish there was this one had contact and that's why it was given.

Methinks we live in an era of football where 9/10pk given are not genuine. it's just a ploy based on the fact that the ref can't see all tackles, so it's the reason card for simulation was created, but that rule is just too soft and useless in vital cases.

The decision is still on the ref's concentration.

But who wouldn't take such a risk for his team?

we need that type cos it's been used to cheat the SE in time so past as well.

My Balogun statement as LB was a mistake.
Penalty should be eliminated abeg. It should be free kick for foul in the box

In retrospect not capping Ebuehi against Algeria was a stupid decision. Not because we might lose him to Holland but because playing Shehu that day cost us something dear. In other words we gained nothing and lost everything from that match.
Exactly, Tyrone should have been introduced in that game at least

For a 4 man defence, I will play Aina on the left and Ebuehi on the right. Idowu is better as a wing back than a full back.

Ebuehi trumps Shehu in almost every aspect. Pace, positioning and defensive IQ. I hope he gets a full game against Serbia for us to see what i am talking about.

I want to see us play again without Mikel but this time with a three man midfield.. Joel, Onazi, Ndidi...

Sir let us be analytical here and talk football and don't let us be emotional on mere football issues.

Let us learn from one another so that we can enjoy this great thread. We all watched yesterday match and is a must for us too talk about the positives and negatives of the game.

Minnd you we view football differently and opinions must be differed based on individual knowledge and experience

Uzoho i watched yesterday still has a long way to go and the only way out is to keep on improving in every game.Uzoho against Argentina was more confident than Uzoho against Poland,if you doubt it go and watch the two matches again.

Kudos to Rohr for believing in him and this is what a good coach do and compare Ajiboye performance against Morocco with Uzoho is out of it.

Pls try and swap the two, Ajiboye with great defenders like Balogun and Leon against Poland and Uzoho with defenders like Eze and Orji against Morocco team B,then we can talk.

Truly Uzoho deserve our praise but any criticism should not be termed as personal cos we all want the best for Eagles.

I hope to see Uzoho again against Serbia with more convincing performance.
my post was not intended to flare up emotions. We all know we're quite shortchanged in the goalkeeping department and with less than 3months to the mundial, you don't expect us to still be testing goalkeepers at a time we should be consolidating on the options at hand. Uzoho obviously lacks experience but has got talent. Worth adding also that he checks most of the qualities of a world class goalie. At this point it's as clear as a crystal ball he's going to be our NO.1 in Russia. We need to rally round him and give him maximum support not clamouring for new faces. It's nauseating angry

Seriously either Shehu or echiejile shouldn't near Russia

Both of them are not ready for world Cup

I see people saying Shehu tried yesterday; but am just surprised because to me watching him yesterday was horrible... He was slow as Bleep and lacked composure. Everything about Shehu game yesterday screamed AMATURE. upon say the polish player wasn't really good
Imagine shehu facing any decent player then we are really doomed because the only positive thing I observe about shehu was just his normal African strength which will cost us if care is not taken.

To be sincere i rate him as our worst player yesterday.

Shehu will be in Russia

Actually Lewandowski wasn't going to play the full match. I read in one of the sports dailies yesterday even before the match that Bayern has an understanding with the Polish FA that he not play full 90 minutes. Before then I'd read that in most friendlies sef he doesn't even play.

Ezenwa conceeded 4 against Ghanian B team, but looked solid against Cameroon, because he was protected by Ekong and Balogun. You can't rule Ajiboye out completely simply because of the Moroccan game.
Ajiboye was at fault for most of the goals he conceded against morrocco. Parrying the ball to the opposition like he's an assist king and can't even marshal his defense properly. Those are just primary and negligible requisites but he's shortchanged in that regard. You saw uzoho doing quite the opposite yesterday so that should tell you that uzoho and ajiboye ain't in the same echelon.
