Balogun is not like a yoyo... He was out of the Mainz team and he struggled for fitness/sharpness. Now that he is playing regularly, the sharpness is better. Even in the games, where he started slow, he got better as the games progressed.

Omeruo is a good defender but will give you a few mistakes per game.. That routine missed clearance on another day will let the striker in. Fortunately, Ebuehi was quick to get back.
Well we just want them all to be at their best.

Dear...check through the team...all you see are defensive midfielders...really little or no creative midfielders..save for mikel.
I think it will be good if we get at least a back up for every position..even though not too impressive but should be above average...
how I wish kelechi nwakali has matured enough...that will definitely be after the world cup...tho.

I still remember without a fit CR7 in the last world cup...the Portuguese played trash...likewise the Argentineans turned to average team without messi....
sometimes we really can't tell what the future holds....

Maybe we should've tried Aluko or Ajagun. These are the only known experienced creative midfielders we have now.

i disagree with you here..those were tournaments not friendlies..are you suggesting that is the reason we beat them then?right from time players(especially top ones) generally do not give their best in friendlies..what about messi defying barca to represent argentina in 2008 olympics?
You still don't get me. I meet that this guy's were cautious during friendlies and they took that mentality that the teams they face in friendlies were no match for them at tournaments. But they got shockers at that Atlanta. Because they felt they would give their best when the time comes. You don't do that in football again. Give your best now.

No one gave us a chance at Atlanta cos of the calibre of our opponents. They even looked down on us no doubt. Esp that stupid office trap the Argies tried to set, but backfired to.

These players are been cautious now cos they feel they would give their all during the World Cup. But they might get shocked.

Major caution reason is just injury.

errrm i actually complain about lots of DM in our team but thinking about it that is what is available..recruiting makes it sound like this is club football where one recruits players but in in international football you make use of what is available to you
So you're insinuating that some of the DMs should and can play as makeshift AMs even when its glaring that such player is not present in the team??

All I'm saying is if any Midfielder must be invited it should be an AM because of our dire need of creativity in the middle of the park. Simple

it will be good you learn how to write politely...just because you have access to a keyboard...shouldn't make you loose respect in your words.

from your response...I have since know nancho to be a good set piece taker for a player who could shot accurately from afar into the opponent net..I have never doubted his dead balls prowess...

leaving Moses to keep taking free kicks...is like doing samething same way over and over again and expect a different results...

there is always room for flexibility...severally i remember how okocha dead balls proved decisively for us....
Moses is not a player who could comfortably shot from outside the team yard box and expect a goal....he thrives better in the opponent yard box...

why is it difficult for you to understand this, in Madrid the assign free-kick taker is ronaldo, but asensio is very good at it, few times he get the opportunity he scored them, that include bale, kroos and even modric

when last did ronaldo score a free-kick, if this example is not good for you then I cant help you

We need to find an combination that at least gives us some balance without Mikel.. It is important.
Yes, but we can't comfortably achieve that in such a short period between the World Cup. Just less that threw months.

The best and lonely way is to play Mikel feom the first half and make the team gel with him and sub him around 70 minutes towards the end of the game

he doesn't have a name yet doesn't mean he isn't a better dribbler.. There are many players in leagues that dribbles better than Moses but don't have the name yet we can't say because they aren't known yet then automatically they aren't better dribbler. Most people here will admit they were interested in onyekwuru because of his dribbles and goal scoring capabilities. If there is any other you can tell me?

I will agree with you a bit, onyekuru is a good dribbler but what actually makes him better is his goal scoring, he dribbles and shoot well, but moses doesnt score much goals as much as he dribbles.

But i think moses is still the best dribbler we have in super eagles for now cos onyekuru has not stamped his mark in GWG.

What do you mean by you make do of what you have? Our problem in that team apart from the Gk is creativity which only Mikel can boast of. An your talking about making do with DMs. Can agu play as AM?

And you'll say someone else doesn't know about football. We don't need Agu... all the DMs in the team are better than him.

Name an attacking midfielder we should have gotten to replace, do you think Nigeria is Chelsea were we can afford to buy fabregas because we need a midfielder

I think Balogun and Ekong partnership reassured us of something great with yesterday performance especially Balogun compared to his last two games in Eagles colour.Ekong keep on improving per match.

Sir why so much emphasis on Omeruo clearance though poor clearance but remember Ekong despite his good performance had the worst clearance yesterday inside 18 yard box.

Rohr cheated Joel Obi by playing him in deep defensive midfield....How? Changed him with Onazi ,then plays him[Onazi] in attacking midfield. Our Joel should be allowed to move forward....he is a natural attacking midfielder

Pls go and read my rating on Uzoho.

I acknowledged his bravery on Lewandowski one on one situation and also canvass for more matches for him to build his confidence.

Did i hammer the poor boy?or condemned him,pls am not a roforofo analyst.
But let's be honest. The guy deserves no critisism whatsoever after such a bold performance as a rookie.

Some certain things some folks surprisingly don't appreciate about Uzoho is that he's very ambitious and is always ready to improve.

We have Aluko, and what of Kingsley Sokari? even Nosa lgiebor has been completely forgotten.
To strengthen the team, we don't need an Agu since we have so many good players in his position. We need a Samuel Kalu, Sone Aluko, Ajiboye(Aiyenugba) and a fit Onyekuru , and we are set for the world cup.

Normally when you make that run, a midfielder steps back a little to cover your tracks.

Exactly right but they did well to get back in the picture each time, ppl should also see that.

nope, they played same position, just that joel was overhyped before the match, the ball he got and shot wide was so unnecessary, i think he should start next match in the attacking position with ndidi - joel - ogu, ogu will help slow things down and hold the ball a bit longer.
