mank1234:I like this spirit my brother. But don't say we do not need to control the midfield to win matches, if we do not control the midfield how do we get the ball forward to the striker. Remember we are not that good and efficient with quick counter attack, a well coordinated Polish team showed that we are very vulnerable especially if we do not at least control the midfield to some extent. Teams with solid midfield and efficient strikers like Germany, Spain or Brazil will do so much damage to our team if we fail to contest the midfield with them and we may not even have a chance to attack. If we really want to go far in this tournament, we shouldn't be thinking of coming out weak in any department of play. |

Even those players will firstly, have to be invited, prove themselves in camp, and also prove themselves in an actual test game. We are racing against time. Consider Onyekuru's stint with SE. Those players can't stamp their authority overnight. Ebuehi had been training with SE for quite a while before he got his chance and took it. Think Aina also. We still have the likes of Agbo still waiting... Daejoyoung: |

gbosaa: Do you know what you are saying Aluko chose to play in the Championship and has been voted best midfielder. Followed the money and went to Reading who got to the play offs last season and narrowly missed promotion to the EPL. However, this season Reading are completely off the boil. Which AM do we have currently that is better than him that's not already in the SE set up. Youre attempt at mockery to rubbish the suggestion is either prejudice or a lack of knowledge on your part. 1 Like |

If we are considering inviting new AMs I'd definitely support the call for Aluko over Kelechi Nwakali. Nwakali plays in the second tier. And he's not even been voted one of the best yet. Aluko is proven in SE colors, and still a super regular in another second tier. komekn: 2 Likes |

Joebie:Joebie let's be realistic: Aluko is not on Rohr's radar. I don't have anything against him as a player or as a person. But if you look at Rohr you'd know his direction. That's why I find this constant call for Aluko irksome. It's like hitting ones head on a brickwall. Generally now- beyond the question of Aluko- anybody who moves forward will have no problem with Rohr's selection but anybody stuck in the past is on his own |

Is Nwakali an assist king? Don't use double standards here. Are we talking about a rookie slot? What actually? Humility017: |

All this calls for Aluko : It's not about Aluko or even for the good of the SE. It's about the imposition of their pettiness on the Coach, it's about gloating if Aluko is invited(almost impossible) . It's about constant attack on the coach if he continues to not be invited. When you see genuine call for a Player you will know it. Not in this ones who see Rohr going to Abuja but them going Lagos and keep saying that unless the coach joins on their way to Lagos he has not started. Let them keep travelling. Long road with no destination since they refuse to face reality. They are either looking for the past that is past(Martins and co) or searching for the future that is not yet here(Onyedinma, Josh Onomah and co) I do not oppose Aluko. It's the petty mindedness of those who call for his invite that I oppose. 6 Likes 1 Share |

oloriooko: This is why you test players and bring in new players to compare against existing ones. We look at players progression in thier clubs we do not rely on past glories. There are too many players who should have been tested but have been excluded. As it stands Aina is yet to be tested do we can make some deductions about his true quality. That's why I asked for Obagoal to be tested is he past it His club form statistics are better than Ighalo's. Can Omeruo be considered better than Dominic Iorfa we simply do not know. Why he has never been tested. Is Agu better than Hope Akpan We will never know. Is Aluko still quality is he a better AM than Iwobi he has been excluded by the powers that be, once again we will never know. The question ❓ can we improve on what we have 1 Like |

Martz101:What of Aluko and/or Ajagun? Imbnot saying these players are doing very good currently (they could even be because) but we need urgently an attacking midfielder that can at least deliver half of Mikel's job.- That can connect our midfield to the attack. |

komekn: Does Hope Akpan perfomance this season warrant a national team call up? I don't think so.. Omeruo has been very good at club level.. Besides Iorfa has played primarily as a right back this season. The right back position is saturated. |

First of all, everything you said is debatable but over and above that; a football team is not necessarily a collection of best individual players but a combination of the best team. Like I had said several times, if we don't do well in Russia it isn't gonna be because we missed any individual player. Fact is: I cannot think of any player who isn't invited that could offer something SIGNIFICANTLY better than the players currently in the team. The keyword being significantly. O pari komekn: |

BascoVanVeli:what do you mean? the one-on-one duel between Uzoho and Lewy has the striker with three options to scoring. He could decide to pass to his teammate right in fron of the net. He could decide to lob the ball over Uzoho And he could also place the ball between our goalkeeper's legs. But Because of Uzoho's high concentration and vigilance he was able able to close his legs before the ball could penetrate his legs. And the shot was close range. Messi's own was more distant. 8 Likes 1 Share |
