God Bless You Romeo! I just don’t see reason to be arguing with him cos he knows nothing! Everyone must not be like him. I just have to laugh him cos he knows nothing. God Bless the good heart. Romeo3: You need to relax. His perspective is as a car owner who has driven his own Car, and still drives his Car, AND, as a rider, who has been in other uber cars and seen that 1. Uber drivers need advise sometimes. You don't bottle up emotions and then wait so that you can rate 1 star. That's not maturity.
2. Rating system is wrong. Even with a nice personality, clean car and everything, a rider will rate you 1 star, simply because they do not like the car you are driving, and then uber will deactivate you because you received low ratings on a car that they accepted on their platform without inspecting. Does that sound right or fair? Uber has a stupid rating system. Taxify is better organized in that aspect. Atleast, they carry out physical inspection and reject some cars some times, therefore, if you are banned from taxify everyone blames you. but uber?
3. Drivers have families. Yes. Anything wrong about That? I met a driver today with qualifications people dream of. He drives uber because he was laid off and has to find another way to provide for his family. Did he break the law?
4. Car might be bad or are all cars on uber excellent? Do you, or do you not know that sometimes, partners ask drivers to manage a car till next week before fixing and they have to manage it because they have a family to provide for?
5. If you are in a bad car + The driver has a bad attitude, by all means, rate him low. If car is bad and he is nice, show concern, be human and ask what happened, and advise. ask questions and don't jump to conclusions.
If anyone needs to be banned, it has to be you. Stop looking down on people. One bad person doesn't mean 100dreds are bad. Your opinion is flawed too. but you don't see anyone quoting you 10 times to talk on one quote. We learn everyday.
relax and learn
With the way to type, one would think you have put measures in place to weed out bad drivers.... but a driver returned your "perfect car".

pattybf: This is becoming a norm for uber drivers. They don't switch on AC before picking rider, at d end AC won't cool well.
I'm riding with one as I type, My kids n I r sweating n he insist it's working.
No prob, low rating awaits him! Sorry for bringing in religion into this. It is written in the Bible ; be deligent in your service and everything your hand find to do, do it well. You know they are so many Uber drivers, some a doing well and bringing in alot of profits why others are not. But guess who those low profits maker blame? They blame their people for village. The truth be told, the reason why most don't do well and miss an opportunity of retaining costumers, is their attitude. People ride uber because of the services they are known for and as such, every driver should take pride when delivering these services. Uber is a professional job for serious minded folks and has helped alot of people rise above poverty. If a lazy useless idiot want to spoil this profession for the serious minded folks (serious folks with families to care of and also those hoping to become the dangotes of tomorrow), please do everything within your power to remove them from uber or any other platform. If giving them zero stars will do the trick please do it. We need to remove all the bad heads from every sector in Nigeria, that way serious minded people can strive. Thanks 4 Likes |

debeo: Some drivers are devil, black ones!
And am not exaggerating.
I am really angry!
Earlier when I see people like dru23 saying things about drivers, I felt he was too harsh, had I known
I added a Toyota Corolla, I was unlucky, engine knocked before it even made one naira. Changed engine, changed evaporator, condenser and a host of other things.
Changed almost everything on the legs from shocks, brake to tires. Spent over 300k for these.
Where possible, I use oem or new parts, I buy them myself or order online.
That's not the story, this is the story
I gave this cha cha Corolla to an experienced driver referred by someone I happen to know. I checked his profile he had 4.6 as his ratings I was cool but there was one problem, he had no phone.
said he had some challenges, he had to sell his phone.
Because of the person that referred him, I asked him which phone and how much, he mentioned one infinix with 2g ram, the price was 38k, I transferred 40k to him.
Filled the car to half tank and handed over to him on a Wednesday.
Come Friday, he wasn't still paired with me on Uber, called him, he gave some cock and bull story of how he needs to go Uber office and do it, well for other cars it only took minutes, so I gave him 24hours to that. He did it in 18.
Come Tuesday, Uber didn't pay me, I've forgotten about him to be honest, since I used a different Uber profile/email address for him, I checked his profile, he was in debit of about 10k, he was owing Uber, I called him, he gave some stories, pleaded I give him till Thursday, let him pay one full week.
I agreed
Had I known
Thursday, called severally before I reached him, another story, his ac was bad he hasn't been working I was furious, did you call me?
Asked him to go meet my ac guy to fix it. I like doing ALL my repairs, for fear of substandard parts.
immediately, I logged on my GPS tracker, this guy was a bloody liar, he's been all over Lagos especially at night.
Gave a benefit of doubt even though my tracker says otherwise. Asked him for my money he said next Tuesday, I chilled, this point I was boiling but I needed to chillax, thanks to Heineken.
Tuesday, oga didn't pay, he didn't call, I didn't call
Wednesday same thing
Checked GPS he's been all over Lagos
Thursday morning by 10am, I stopped the car.
Went to the location, collected my car keys and phone. Mechanic was already over the car thinking it was a mechanical fault, he didn't call me ooo.
Took the car back only to discover the following
1. Booth was permanently locked 2. passenger door has been bashed, the glass is broken inside 3. the car stinks like sh*t 4. the new phone screen was broken
All in 2 weeks
I repaired the spoilt things and am looking for a driver, but this time like the yorubas say
Ojú ánu tí fọ!
He called me, I didn't pick cos if I swear 'for' him, it will be so bad that he would prefer his village people romance him than for my curse to kiss him.
Other drivers have even noticed a change self.
Why am I typing this long epistle
I just saw the same guy here asking for a car, on this thread, promising no stories. Yepa! Am angry!!! The same guy, same phone no!
The thunder that will fire him ehn, is still using Yokozuna as dumbbell.
Dear partners, before you accept any driver please ask to call their former partners! Simple if they say no, da wọn nù bí omi ishanwọ̀
Plus collect upfront payment ooooo
If you don't have, ja kúrò ní waju mi jàre, mi o ráyè radarada pálapàla.
Datguru, abeg send me that your HP agreement, am considering it.
Udo!
I no like to dey talk or put mouth for mata here until i enter the business make pple no say i too forward, well this is common sense. But obviously someone like you is the type dru23 always talk about and would always laugh very hard. The average Nigerian would always take advantage of any generous gesture they noticed let alone lagosian driver, you obviously weren't considering your investment before shining ur 32 at d driver. |
