yep, create a federal west African nation that can spread up to the central African republic and form a huge trade and economic bloc with a very powerful military arm. if even some other African nations joins this bloc slowly the federation will continue to increase in wealth and power and can checkmate this ugly menace of neo colonialism from China, Israel, UK, USA, France e.t.c. I can see that in less than 30yrs barring any teething problems and strangulation at birth by the "world powers", that the federation can become a world power and if even half of the famous African strength, unity, and determination, it could birth a super power in 5-8 decades. ECOWAS could have been the ideal vehicle for this. Each nation would govern itself/police itself, there would be a unified military but each nation can maintain a set number of men/military equipment, a unified language would have been created, a unified currency reserves of gold, diamond or any other precious minerals, unified / harmonised laws, unified taxes/ public welfare.
A president/prime minister could be the defacto head of government, we could have a house of representatives, a chief justice, a constitutional court e.t.c. Every thing that the federal government performs would in essence be performed by the federation, while each nations FG would be downgraded to State/provincial government level. Maybe if we join together and focus on developing this entity, we would not receive all this insults. Obj was the one who had the opportunity to do such but he pushed for third term,funny enough if he had pushed for such he would still be ruling. The opportunity is still there. it might be small but a coalition between Gambia,liberia, nigeria might just be enough to get this dream running. Point of correction, both religions have no negative sides. The negativity comes from the people that practice. Both follows of these religions practice their own terrorism in different aspect and a particular religion can't hold the world to ransom though it depends on the way you look at it.
