I thought we're done with this Mikel Agu of a guy. That guy has no business in this team...
I hope he doesn't play.
He offers nothing, nothing but fowls and yellow cards!

I'm so disappointed
its obvious some of us now know better than the technical crew. Our job is to support the team and trust Rohrs Judgement. We know where we are coming from and where we are presently, yet we still complain.

Bro ain't u tired abt players u knw dey can't b invited to d national team in 10years to dis time, let alone of going to Russia2018 grin grin?

In all honesty I should be.

But because I have a little bit of let's say insider knowledge and know the reasons he is not invited has nothing to do with football. But more to do with NFF politics.

Don't believe all you read Rohr is a an excellent coach that understands how to navigate our politics. He is still able to be influenced it's not a one man band where selection is concerned.

Nice analysis bros....Only ajiboye will bring out the best in uzoho not ezenwa or akpeyi.

I think ajiboye is somehow better than ezenwa sha,but the coach is not looking on ajiboye side? and he somehow rule him out of the world cup.

Not that uzoho is too good but he his better than ezenwa and akpeyi
.

But remember after the defeat by morocco in the chan final, some people are already blaming ajiboye, those same people has already praised him.

But there is no much time to test goal keepers,How many friendlies do we have more?

The crux of the matter, when the desirable is not available, the available becomes desirable.

If Enyeama was active we simply will not be having this discussion.

Primarily but not exclusively as a RB he plays both positions. He left Wolves not for football reasons but the influence of Mendes and the Portuguese project going on there.

Hope Akpan has played for Nigeria when he was in the EPL. Unfortunately his club got relegated and he refused to go to a lower less competitive league. Furthermore the managers has been blatantly discriminatory. See link below when a manager makes a public apology you know something is up.

https://www.burtonalbionfc.co.uk/news/2018/february/0802-hope/

Good at club level in a backwater league doesn't cut it. Is he among the top five best players in that league.

A player who couldn't cut it at Chelsea or the Championship.

What I am saying until players are tested we really do not know what quality they bring you the table. Your approach is based on favouritism, competition creates an environment for excellence.

Danny Shittu is a classic example frozen out by two managers but arguably one of Nigeria's best defenders. Only because Vogts gave him a chance the NFF were unwilling to do.

Let's have open competition not exclusive favoritism.

hope akpan is a defensive midfielder, don't we have enough in that area?

it seems you never knew the players being invited...then why start the discus for their replacement or rather call that your borough players would have done better...
it makes no sense to talk down players you've little knowledge of....I understand you live in Europe...that's not an excuse for ignorance....we have brothers who live in USA not even a football nation but they're are still better knowledgeable about all Nigeria football..reason because they're true super eagle fan... you've always talk like someone with uterior motive to promote English kids on this platform...and not necessarily a super eagle fan...

yeah...some of super eagles best players are in the UK....but that does not mean others don't live and play elsewhere....

you need do away with your parochial mindset....the super eagles have players from several leagues not just limited to England.....

I remember how you start boast of the epl having 5 teams in the UEFA round of 16...but ever since 3 of those teams were sent packing by their mates from other leagues...2 from the la liga you've learnt to keep mute....and now you've start to see it as something to boast over...that the best super eagle player is in the epl....

The possibility still exists of an all England final in Champions League albeit highly unlikely so don't count your eggs before they hatch.

I said the core top quality players in the SE have come from the EPL. Those players are the backbone of the SE. It's not a boast it's just a simple fact.

Unless you wish to blinded by prejudice when did I say all players must come from England that's just cheap misdirection and misrepresentation.

Well educate me tell me stats underpin that with a good quality league and stand out player in that league.

Eventually good players will elevate themselves to top leagues and quality teams, all things being equal.

I Haven't asked for any player to be replaced, just a level playing field for all players to be tested.

The players I think should be considered are mostly already capped for Nigeria but for reasons unknown have been excluded.

Aluko, Ambrose and Obagoal are these the borough players you are talking about

I usually do not respond to your comments when they lack substance but I'll make an exception today

It's individuals that make the team not the team that makes the individual.

You can not make conclusion as to SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER with regard to players because unless a player is tested, proven, assessed, how can you know.

I recognise you as one of the few informed and mostly balanced contributors on this forum.

Even in England there is favoritism and nepotism in football as well as racism. That's why players can be denied opportunity.

Your deduction on SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER is way too hasty. Can I suggest premature prejudice.

For instance Obagoal has been tried and tested at a very high level. Does the possibility exist that he is currently better than KC, I would say yes, however, it's all speculative because he has not been tested. So I simply DO NOT KNOW. But if opportunity is denied we will NEVER KNOW. What does it take to invite him to camp nothing but of course NFF politics at play. A player who had better statistics than Ighalo.

It's the Managers responsibility to create convergence and fusion of the best players available to him into a team.

From watching Sone Aluko who was denied opportunity by NFF in the most nefarious of ways. I would say outside of Mikel Obi arguably one the better options as an AM currently.

Do you know how many players Nigeria have in the world, so we should keep testing everybody to know who is better,

some well known players never made it to there country national team, France cantona never made it to the France 98 team, you can't build a team by always changing and fixing.

right now we can name 90% of our worldcup sqaud barring no injury, this is a mistake we made in the past, it wont be nice repeating it again

which Nwakali are you talking about? And which one do you think he is referring to?

You need to seek clarifications before jumping on an argument, because I'm very sure the Nwakali in Aberdeen is not the one Humility referred to

The only two Nwakali's I know are one after leaving the Norwegian league in January transfer window is now at Aberdeen and the other one in MVV Maastrichct the Eredivisie both of them have been far from outstanding. Although they are contracted to big clubs in the name of Arsenal and Man city. They are very very far away from first team football at those clubs.

I am not too familiar with Norwegian league I only know two Managers and a few coaches and quite a few players who gone there to seek opportunities. The football is far from great.

Oga you don't get tired of chasing these fantasy of an all English based SE? Even justifying some baseless things. Imagine talking of Efe Ambrose! Thank God Rohr has the final say and he does send Nairaland. That's my only joy when I read your comments.

komekn:

I will tell you something if you are doing outstandingly well in any top 15 league in Europe you will be noticed. Clubs will be fighting, if not to buy to get you on loan

Seyi Ojo Newcastle offered £10million ➕ to buy him he declined.

Tega last season lit up the championship as a top striker result a plethora of teams queuing up to sign him.

What has Nwakali done that merits him a call to the SE he is playing in Aberdeen but he is not the stand out player.

On the other hand Efe Ambrose is the stand out top three central defender in the Scottish premiership league. Has anybody called him to the SE I wonder why ❓

Football has evolved and time is not something you have plenty of time. Potential must be shown and if at 21 your still talking potential then you are not progressing.

The basis for any call up should be outstanding performance in your club and league particularly if it's a backwater league.

Or in the alternative good quality in a more competitive quality league.

From that base line you invite players you play friendlies and then you select. How many players of Nigerian origin are playing regularly for top teams in a top league That's your first Base line.

If that does not suffice you look at league that are good quality or second tier to the very best leagues.

When KC was scoring regularly at Man city, there was nothing to test, his performances selected him. However, football is not static you must keep being competitive if not you can be dropped for the in form players.

You create competition to select the best. You do not rely on past glories, biased recommendations based on gain by agents,

That was my first reaction to Efe Ambrose he is finished.

But as it stands right now he is the stand out defender in the Scottish premiership league. It's a lowly league but he is standing out and that means he has improved.

Furthermore, you may disbelieve me but I know at least one EPL club that wanted him and quite a few Championship clubs too. However, work permit issues have restricted him.

Can you say conclusivey that Balogun and Omeruo are better if you wish to be honest. Unless you want to rely on old performances.

Actually Scottish league is a backwater league with one club Celtic winning everything. Rated even lower than the Eredivisie. It's rated 26 in Europe that's not great.

The only one thing it does give you is proximity to the EPL and therefore if you stand out its a few miles to the EPL.

Do not Forget that the most expensive center back in the world came from Celtic before going to Southampton and finally Liverpool.

Currently the Bundesliga is rated 4th in Europe with La Liga on top and the EPL second.

All according to UEFA
