Substantiate your position not just with emotive preference.

The same league our Core midfielder is praying to come too. Onazi would have been in Birmingham if not for work permit issues. He was ready to dump the supposed top quality of the Turkish league for the competitive grit and physicality of the championship.

The same league that Omeruo couldn't hack it and left for an easier ride in Turkey.

I would concede that the Turkish league is more technical (pretty football) on average but I would say the Championship is more competitive, physical and definitely faster than the Turkish league.

That's why when you want an easy life when you get to the latter stages of your career you shift to Turkey also great tax regime. Hopefully you willl get paid notorious for owing players wages.

Omeruo went to Turkey for Money not because he could not get to a better league..,

Abeg guys enough of the back and forth, it is already degenerating to tribal accusations.

The truth is there is no more friendlies after the Serbia game before the world cup lists comes out, so Rohr already has his pool of eligible players he is going to pick from, there will be no new invites, if there is no outstanding player in tuesdays game and baring no major injury, Rohr already has his 23 players already.

So let's discuss about the players in the pool, after the world cup we can continue the debate about Aluko, Nwakali and co.

Any news about the boys & training on going in England ?
he said he was going to invite 30 for camp after seasons end just before world cup if I am not mistaken

Las Palmas Star Etebo Rules Himself Out Of Nigeria-Serbia Pre-World Friendly
Published: March 25, 2018
Las Palmas star Oghenekaro Etebo has confirmed that he will not be fit to suit up for the Super Eagles when they face Serbia in their third pre-World Cup friendly at the Hive Stadium in London this coming Tuesday, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report.
The central midfielder sat out the national team's training session on Sunday morning because he did not want to aggravate his injury from which he has not fully recovered.
It would be recalled that Etebo had to be substituted at half-time after suffering discomfort in the quadriceps muscle in Las Palmas's 2-0 loss to Villarreal CF in La Liga two weeks ago, and the club's medical team recommended that he should stop all sporting activities for the time being.
Las Palmas are hoping that their Nigerian star will be fit for their first game after the international break against Real Madrid next weekend.
Junior Ajayi, Gabriel Okechukwu and Mikel Agu, who did not figure against Poland, participated in the national team's training session this morning.
With Etebo ruling himself out of the friendly against Serbia, manager Gernot Rohr has six central midfielders to pick from - John Ogu, Eddy Onazi, Joel Obi, Wilfred Ndidi, Uche Agbo and Agu.

Nigeria league is just a shamble and a disgrace to the word "footbal"

I think no one i mean no one should should spend even the least of his second on that crappy league..
Just look at last minute home penalties and equalising for the home teams undecided..

I swear to God, even if am been payed thousands to watch that match for free..I will not.. I 'll rather dig holes and fill it back than watching those Godforsaken bunch of mediocre shitty league..

Please eehhh I want to ask, can't fifa meddle in the affairs of a country's league
Isn't it high time we reckon I'm fifa to deal with those mudafuckas disgracing footbal in this country of the world..
Ie better still clamp down and close the league entirely.. angry

It's individuals that make the team not the team that makes the individual.

You can not make conclusion as to SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER with regard to players because unless a player is tested, proven, assessed, how can you know.

I recognise you as one of the few informed and mostly balanced contributors on this forum.

Even in England there is favoritism and nepotism in football as well as racism. That's why players can be denied opportunity.

Your deduction on SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER is way too hasty. Can I suggest premature prejudice.

For instance Obagoal has been tried and tested at a very high level. Does the possibility exist that he is currently better than KC, I would say yes, however, it's all speculative because he has not been tested. So I simply DO NOT KNOW. But if opportunity is denied we will NEVER KNOW. What does it take to invite him to camp nothing but of course NFF politics at play. A player who had better statistics than Ighalo.

It's the Managers responsibility to create convergence and fusion of the best players available to him into a team.

From watching Sone Aluko who was denied opportunity by NFF in the most nefarious of ways. I would say outside of Mikel Obi arguably one the better options as an AM currently.
Like elyte89 said continue calling for players that will not smell the team. Your joy sha

Add Obagoal in it. Only then will he be satisfied. As the team is now it's not good enough for him. No doubt there must be improvement but the way people call for additions so often makes me wonder whether they ever realise that stability is part of team building process.

I would expect him to make use of Google and YouTube so as to know who the boy is....prior he starts calling and sayn that one borough player who have not even desire to play for the super eagles....is far better or should have been called instead.

That's the shocking thing. His determination in calling for the invitation of players whose allegiance has not been settled. Iorfa wey dem give opportunity to stake a claim for himself and his Dad was stalling is the same player komekn will not let us rest about.

In all honesty I should be.

But because I have a little bit of let's say insider knowledge and know the reasons he is not invited has nothing to do with football. But more to do with NFF politics.

Don't believe all you read Rohr is a an excellent coach that understands how to navigate our politics. He is still able to be influenced it's not a one man band where selection is concerned.
I don't like to get into long arguments but I just want to point out something I keep noticing. I've been following this thread for a long time now, and I see the patterns that play out in discussions here. Double standards!

You keep telling people not to believe everything they read, yet you quote articles and comments that support your argument and present them as fact that should be accepted. Apparently, whatever you say is true, is true and people are supposed to just take it?

People here defended Kelechi when he was having difficulty and suggested the coach was not fair to him and the system did not favour him. Whether that was true or not is another matter. However, according to you, he was not good enough and thus his predicament. Those making 'excuses' for him were just sentimental and it was all 'emotive bias', etc. Now you are making excuses for Iorfa, his coach had an agenda and some conspiracy theory brouhaha. Even if he was that good, why did he leave for the lowly 'kick and follow' (i believe in your words) Ipswich? Why didn't another premier league team or at least a better championship side snap him up?

I'm not trying to downplay Iorfa's quality. Just trying to point the flaw in your stance. Like I said earlier, I'm not one to get into any back and forth so quotes may not necessarily be replied. I'll just leave it at that.

Fellow eagulians, I hail. Over and out!

@diweuche : ''Abeg make rohr leave this mikel agu guy jare.he seem to like the guy too much or probably the guy has the backing of one top official.we already have a loaded midfield jare. I don't see what he brings to the team abeg.junior ajayi will give some competition to kelechi.''

@Wisdomyanmife : ''We don't need Mikel Agu''.

@Joseosas : ''I am beginning to suspect an ulterior motive in this Agu guy..... This guy played all games in the qualifiers and still played nothing. Rohr continues to invite him. Competency is supposed to be the watch word but it seems favoritism has the better edge''.

@genero_johnnel : ''Mikel agu doing what in camp. Nawao for coach Rohr''.

@SoonQie : ''We don't need a Mikel Agu in that team anymore''.

@Thatrigga_ : ''I think akpeyi is injured now sef, mikel agu dare not even try it..''.

@ndibe_emmanuel : ''No b so Mikel Agu been dey play ahead of john ogu cos the latter plays in Israel....... Na joke o''.

@megakul : ''@Jamz1001FM my question is for you if you the eagles coach will Mikel agu make your list. For me no no what's yours?''.

Mikel Agu was called up because of the absence of 2 midfielders.. Mikel Obi and Etebo..

He is a good player that has not shown his best in an Eagles shirt.

If you think championship is better than Turkish league then I don't think I can continue this argument, Omeruo plays against players like pepe, quaresma, robihno, gomis and turan etc

Onazi wanted to move to Birmingham because of some factors which might not be footballing factor and as for Omeruo I dont see how he failed in Middlesbrough after making 33 appearances and helping them to promotion

Help me tell that guy that onazi wanted to move to the championship for money issues,How much is trabzonspor paying onazi? Not more than 20k euros per week and Birmingham will offer more than that.

Ruben Neves leave FC porto to join wolverhampton a record fee of 20 million pounds the highest ever paid for a player in the championship,That does not mean championship is better than portugal league okay,Ruben neves join them for the money and more better salary, many championship club are rich.Anybody who know football well will never say chamoionship is better than the turkey league.
