Serbia is a very good side. They may nick a goal against us. Uzoho can bag another clean sheet I trust but even if he concedes just one and still put up another good show between the sticks (and we maybe still go on to win or draw) then I reckon he shall be almost confirmed as our no.1 for the mundial.

Goalies do concede so we must ready our minds for him to concede one of these days. What is more important is his overall showing in goal. But truly the clean sheets he has so far are a massive boost...

tbaba1234:

If Uzoho gets another clean sheet then he is almost guaranteed to be number 1... He needs these big games to help him raise his level.

Tyrone Ebuehi will finally be making his very first start in the GWG. What a journey he has had.... We should write a book on him.

From "The bench" to "The first 11" cheesy

Or better still...

Ebuehi: My journey from being "Chairman of the benchwarmers club" to being "Choice RB/RWB of the Super Eagles" grin

The team will still be going. The ministry of foreign affairs, politicians or diplomats will not make an appearance

Chief Icon4s.... God bless you. Let that just be one of the markers to show you that some folks here just don't like the lad Iheanacho and certainly don't want him on the team. In fact it has gotten so bad to the point that drawing a lineup without Nacho in it, is considered "objective" and "true"... Lol

Such Balderdash. What I see on this thread ehn... Honestly, the state of some minds towards our players is really super disgusting and absolutely sick.

Funny thing is that in one of my first analyses for the #NGASRB game, I said Nacho should be dropped to the bench in the absence of Mikel. I said that because I think first of the team and its strengths at any given time based on personnel available for a game.
This is the Super Eagles we are talking about and some folks here rejoice over Nacho's injury. It is really sick dad... I'm just glad it is you who is pointing this out coz I saw it and kept quiet waiting for just one person to point it out.

5 likes for Nacho's injury. See ehn... The hate can be denied but it cannot be hidden. 'Nuff said. Those who liked that comment... They know themselves. smiley

News flash.

Iceland have decided to boycott the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

So without kicking a ball do we then qualify for the next stage or will they draft another team in to replace them.

I hope this will not snow ball with more countries boycotting the games.

The wc is not like afcon should they pull out they'd be replaced asap

U are saying that the 5 people that liked tbaba's post on Nacho are Nacho haters?
If I can recollect, tbaba brought the news of Mikel missing the Poland game and he got some likes......

Close to 10 countries have announced plans to boycott the world cup but I don't see that happening... it may b the diplomats or politicians or whoever that will stay away... FIFA doesn't mix politics with football..

Anyway,I'm not expecting the tournament to be that fun like the last two... Some fans might want to stay away from Russia due to their reputation of hooliganism and racism

This is the likely lineup for Tuesday. This is the line-up for their final training...Uzoho is likely to start again..

Uzoho -

Ebuehi, Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Idowu -

Onazi, Ndidi, Joel Obi -

Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi,

Ahmed Musa

cc: Gbosaa
I heard Ezenwa was better than Uzoho at the training drills. Maybe he'll play a half.

In case you forget... I also drop updates on players from time to time and last time I checked... No player in the GWG got as much likes for an injury news. So uhmm.. Harmless likes you say? Lol... Mehn... It only looks that way but I can categorically tell you that there will be a few happy faces here if Nacho gets to miss the plane to Russia based on Injury. This, which Chief Icon4s spotted and decided to point out is just one of those markers. I really don't know how to play that game called "let's deceive ourselves"... It's really not my thing. wink

Yes, yes... I didnt want to say this but I know there will be just one or maybe two who liked for "appreciation sakes" but truthfully speaking, that is not the case for all remaining likes. smiley

I repeat... No player in the GWG has gotten that much likes for an injury news on GWG duty. All five likes most certainly cannot be just in appreciation of Tbaba's good works on the news now is it? cheesy

Lol.... I've been so long on this thread to read between the lines. Had Chief Icon4s not mentioned it, believe me, we would not even be talking about it right now... But when two eyes like Him and me notice this.... And he is the one to point it out and not me... Then this is not air talk. But I will let it lie... My message is already gotten across.

There is nothing to like on "five counts" or more on a player's injury while on GWG duty. And all five certainly cannot be "in appreciation" coz I know all will wanna hide under that umbrella whereas it is only one or two that belong there.

Lol chief relax.. I don't deny that some folks here really don't like Nacho sometimes, bug hate? I'm not sure... This is someone a lot of Nigerians have followed right since his u-17 days.. He is our golden boy! .. I believe the criticism he receive here as to do with the fact that some people don't like his style of play sometimes. even u said some words (smooth ones I think grin) about his performance against Poland....

And honestly, I believe that most super eagles fans on this forum and beyond are like most typical football fans(including die hards) no matter how much they like their team, there must b at least one player whose style they don't like... Me for instance, I've been a die hard Liverpool fan since I was a child, but its no secret among my friends that I'm not a fan of Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum....

Agu didn't flop. If you think otherwise give me facts.

Besides, Alex Iwobi and Wilfried Ndidi flopped in their first two games but they are doing well in the team now.
Why should I give you facts?? so you didn't watch his matches huh?

And how dare you compare Nacho and Iwobi to mediocre Agu?? Who is he even better than in the team??

No let me vex O!

Ask people in this thread if they think Agu is better than anyone on ground.

One thing I have discovered in all my keen follwership of the beautiful game is that players like Nacho got haters. Mikel in his younger days also had haters... But he has grown and gone on to be such a super force and the leader of our team down the lines. It's like a trend. Our top players who came thru from the U-17s had their haters. Even KANU was not left out.

But on this thread... We are all here to support the team because this is what the thread is also about right? Well yeah... But then amongst us are the few who just cannot stand the name Nacho on our lineup. In fact, they would rather he picked an injury and miss the WC party. They will support the team so long as Nacho is not in the team... Tell me, is that the kind of support the Super Eagles need right now?

Nacho is a key part of this team either from the start or from the bench whether any of us likes it or not so it is for the greater good to give our support to the team and that means supporting each and every one of the players. Ofcos, you can dislike this style or that style... Every one has preferences but this is not what it is even about.

This is about why a news on Nacho having a fractured hand wilp draw that much likes from among us... It is really disturbing. You may take it as nothing but as one who have followed the trends on this thread and from previous national team threads... Mehn... This is most likely a first for a key player on GWG duty. The young lad fractured a hand and the likes drop like rain... Mehn... We should check ourselves.

Diplomatic boycott they called it. I hope Nigeria follows suit. Imagine Nigerian politicians, ministers, senators etc boycotting the tournament. The likes of Dalung won’t go, Dino I’m sure will be planning on how to take photos with clowns and circus girls.

It’d surely save Nigeria some revenue.
