Did he even play as AM? I think we may have switched to a 4-4-2 Iwobi was still at the wings..

You got it! We switched to 4 - 4 - 2 when Simon was introduced. Musa was moved to a SS Role while Simon played as a LW.

I was expecting us to maintain the 4 - 3 - 3 Formation with Iwobi moves to the AM Role, but Rohr didn't wanna miss the Opportunity to experiment another Formation.

I agree. but it was important we tried all these formations.. I hope to see the real SE in June.

Oasis007:

Rohr should stick with 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 as our primary Formation and 3 - 5 - 2 as an Alternative.

Hope the Joel obi fans can allow us rest now lol

Two foul throws, too bad

They'll just show up after few days with other names.
They don't give up.

I expect to see Onyekuru,Samuel Kalu, Sadiq Umar and Dessers included in the preliminary WC squad in May..

Abeg, we no get time to dey give Joel another chance before this World Cup. He should thanks for coming

And now that Rohr has seen Ajayi, can he call Dessers already?

post - mortem

Even with Mikel in the team we would struggle, just not as badly.

We have an average bunch of players barring a few individual top talents who do not play as a team.

Team cohesion zero, Uzoho lacks confidence in his defence , never plays out from the back. We have discovered that our so called super wing backs are not as good as we once thought. Ebuehi was found out BADLY. Ndidi has diesel in his engine non stop working, tenacious but his passing suspect, tackles 1st class. Iwobi flatters skill upon skill but no end product. We really lack strength in depth.

We need to go back to the drawing board, we need a TIGHT COMPACT DISCIPLINED TEAM WITH COHESION even with average players we can become dangerous.

I am grateful i didn't drive the 200 miles to watch this police game.

We win or you learn.. The performance was much better but we missed the Oyibo wall..

Iwobi was very good...

No Victor Moses, Mikel or Balogun in the second half is a bridge too far.

Joel is no AM...

I disagree. Nigeria didn’t play well. We were horrible tonight.

Our attack was DEAD like door nail. I’m not bothered about the goals conceded but what about our attack, creativity, cohesion?? There were none.

How many times did Ighalo and co trouble the Serb keeper? How many chances did we create? How many shots did Nigeria have on their goal?

Bad crosses from Musa etc, poor and unintelligent crosses from Obi and co. We were lucky against Poland and it’ll get worse against England if the errors are not remedied. Lots of folks think England are bad, let’s wait till June 2nd. Nigeria will play the game of their lives to get a result there.

We don't need those players mentioned above aside onyekuru, odas wont offer anything new as far as I am concerned, let's search for a potent No 9 dt would assist ighalo.

was that not when Ndidi wasn't in the team?

Like I said, if he needs Mikel to play well, we can do without him

Ndidi ought to sit deep (DM), but he played much as a Box2Box (CM) in the Match. I wasn't fazed cos I believe this is the Moment for Rohr to understand the Players better.

Thus in a 4 - 3 - 3 Formation, Ndidi as a DM, Joel as a LM and Mikel as a RM gonna be a perfect Combo.

Is this ya Team?

I still have that conviction. This is not how we play. It was a friendly. So many players today are not our starters.

. I'm sad about this loss too but to insult our players or suddenly become unpatriotic cos of this loss, that I won't do. Unfortunately that is exactly what 90% of Nigerians will do,especially those always waiting for moments like this. Like you said: This life sha embarassed

There are insults which aren't good but there are also honest criticisms which are exactly what real patriots should be dishing out. I saw the 2nd half of the game so expect my observations and critique when I have the time to share.

I started feeling bad when I heard Kelechi wouldn't be able to play today, so, welcome to the gang

Anyway, win or lose, I laugh it off. Last time I felt bad over our loss was against SA, because na SA

Ebuehi can never bench Shehu, take that to the bank. Joel is not going to the world cup. Ogu is too damn slowww. Echiejile needs to be given another chance cos Idowu is too ordinary. Without Injury prone balogun we are in trouble at the back. Ekong and Awaziem cannot give a simple pass.
Positives;
Onazi and ndidi were fantastic today.
