I watched the bout and I am no boxing novice. The referee is British and he made that dubious call so AJ could have a TKO (which counts as a KO and gives AJ a perfect record).

Takam did not sag over the ropes, anyone could see his body was still taut and not giving way. He was never going to be dropped.

I have seen death in the ring and we know when the calls should be made. Takam still had much life, albeit little resistance.
