Please house, I am new here, tried reading previous posts. I am currently studying in UK, planning to take in middle of this year but will like to have my baby in US as UK doesn't give citizenship at birth. Please which state in the US should I look at for and which affordable hospital? And also where I can quickly get paper for my child after birth? I have no family member in the US but that's not a problem for me. I am ready to go through it all, I just want America citizenship for my child. Please advise me experienced people. Thanks and God bless. |

@ All, Apologies in advance if I offend. I'm sure some people will be offended. The thread is not as vibrant as I saw in parts 1 -5 and I think it's for 2 reasons: 1) people are not giving back. I'm sure there have been successful interviews but they are not being shared...or maybe I'm wrong..... POE experiences too are few.....and feedback after birth has almost disappeared. Or maybe fewer people than before are on NL planning this birthing trip. BtW why is it called missionary journey? 2) people are not willing to read/research. A lot of PMs are being exchanged, many people asking for which hospital to use despite the different names and states that have been shared in the past. Specific questions are fine but asking for an "A to Z"/comprehensive guide of the process?? That's all on page 0.. Read @justwise's post It's sad to see a forum I learnt so much from dwindle. There's a wealth of info here, that you'll be glad you researched it, if you just take the time to read up. You'll also save yourself time and the error of incomplete info from well-meaning relatives and friends. For example my sibling told me it would take 2 weeks to get an expedited U.S. passport. Truly, that's what the websites say but I knew from the experience of mamas here that next day is possible. When all is done...please tell us how it went/share your experience no matter how *modified* straight forward or k-legged..someone may learn something. 22 Likes |

Hi FeminineA, Replied your mail. Let me give you heads up. Chris Health isn't cheap o. Maybe the hospital bill ($2650) but others doctor, paediatric fees and all others things are not. feminineA: |

As in!!!!! Me sef tire!!! Please newbies readup! Cz it is annoying and irritating to have you ask obvious questions (questions that have been answered and over dealt with...if only YOU READ!!!!e.g "i intend to give birth in the States, please can someone recommend an affordable hospital and dr for me?" ) Gurus in the house arent gurus just cz they have spent ages on this thread, they are gurus because they read up and took notes!! That is why they can answer questions with some level of accuracy! Please loved ones, dont stop sharing your experiences (Visa, POE, Documentation etc). They are what helps in making the thread worth reading and informative. Mamaron, you said it all. God bless you! PS: any recent Washington dulles POE experience? Waiting to read! mamaron: 2 Likes |

Interesting. Have you considered expediting your appointment based on medical reasons? I'm assuming you are pregnant. Or is the interview for you and hubby? vitrendy4eva: |

ozycy: someone mentioned in this group that we should research more. the high demand would make these hosptals increase their prices. there loads of hospitals reducing their prices for cash pay people like us. dont let laziness of researching make u pay too much, you know we make our daily living in NAIRA 1 Like |

Hello house, I applied for my visa interview alone but now I want to apply with hubby. Problem is I can only change the date of my interview but I can't include a family member. He also can't include me on his profile to schedule an appointment cos it would show that my mrv receipt has already been used. Any help on how we can apply together? |

Hello everyone, please I need an advice. I had shared my POE experience weeks ago where I wasn’t asked about duration of stay or pregnancy. DH is joining me soon and I will like to know if he needs to mention child birth at POE or he should simply say vacation. I intend scanning receipts to him and his duration of stay is 4 weeks Thank you. |
