If PhD was never a prerequisite to becoming a Prof, why do non-PhD holders never rise beyond Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Nigerian universities. Yes, in the distant past, it was not so important as a requirement but no longer in the present or recent past which Barr. Yemi Osinbajo belongs.

To shame his critics, Wole Soyinka went back to enrol for a PhD (and he actually got it) after being pronounced a Prof by University of Ife more than four decades ago. And I'm sure you know your Osinbajo can't measure up with Soyinka in terms of academic achievements.
