Maybe. It depends on the school. Usually it is a scholarship since you're going for UG.

Hi Bro
I just noticed that Cleveland state university waived the TOEFL and SAT for me, please is this normal?

Although I will be writing SAT soon

Does this means I might not get funding if I didn't provide it?

Please what do they mean by international High School transcript?

Is it the same one my High school issued to me? or my school will have to send to them directly?

She doesn't need SAT if she is going for Masters degree.
You check the school website to know what requirement they want.

It is better for applicant to go to the school website they want to apply to and check the admission requirement before going to write exam that is not meant for them..

thank you for the advice. She has decided to go through an educational consulting firm and selected a uni in Texas. Then get her transcript before deciding on a program and exams to write.

Yes you can be accepted but you need to work hard on your test scores and other application materials to show that you are a deserving student. In your application, ensure that you put at least two safety schools for worst case scenarios.

Use usnews.com and other college databases to look up schools offering masters in agriculture.

All the best!
thanks so much bro

For CSU, SAT and TOEFL are usually waived for undergraduate students, moreso TOEFL for Nigerian students. It doesn't mean in any way that you would get funding. Generally speaking, funding usually applies to msc and PhD students. For UG students, funding comes mostly in form of partial scholarships and/or tuition waiver (paying in-state, rather than out-of-state).

Now, taking the SAT or ACT is optional for CSU and CSU and some other schools may give admission without SAT or ACT however be prepared to spend your first semester taking ESL (English as a second language) and college developmental math courses before you begin your actual first year courses the following semester. Thus, in your first semester could end up paying school fees (between $3k to $6k) on basic English and Math that you probably know too well already. Depending on your placement level it may take you one or two semesters to clear all ESL and Math development courses before you begin your regular first year courses. However, if you take the SAT/ACT exam and score a minimum of 500, usually, on both sections of Verbal and Quantitative, you could go straight to your regular first year courses upon arrival.

Did you send it already to the school? High school transcript is different from WAEC/NECO. It is more like a summary of your SS1 to 3 report card showing your 9 subjects and their scores (grades). If you did, then CSU is converting it to a US equivalent and when they are done, it should show 'final' in the status.

Yes, my counsellor did, but I offered ten sibjects in High School then, and that same ten was recorded in my transcript, does this have any side effect?
Thanks a lot sir.

No side effect. Did you send a copy of your o'level ? If no, thats likely what you were asking earlier. Send your result with Waec scratch card as required by some school. Better still, send an email to the school and ask what they need.

Hello everyone!
For those going for their interviews soon, make sure you go through the school's website, a day before your interview.
I failed to do this, and it got me a denial.

I did my interview on the 19th of March. During the interview, the consular asked, "Why did you choose this school?".
I replied; "They offered me more areas of specializations in their mechanical engineering curriculum, compared to other schools I got admitted to."
I listed some of the areas of specializations I saw on the school's website; Mechatronics and robotics, automotive engineering, civil engineering.....
Immediately I mentioned civil engineering, he cut me off, he said civil engineering can't be under mechanical engineering.
So I was explaining that its not under mechanical engineering, and that the school also offers civil engineering as a separate course, but the school gives an opportunity to mechanical engineering students to get some what knowledge of civil engineering, which is why it is listed as an area of specialization.(I saw all these on the school's website)
So the consular checked the school's website to confirm what I said, to my surprise he couldn't find it shocked shocked !!
He said they was nothing like that on the website. At this point, I was confused. He then denied me.

When I got home, I checked the school's website, it was then I saw that the school updated their website, days before my interview, and the page where I saw all I said was no longer there.
Whether na me do myself or na village people do me this one or na the school, I no know cry .

So, please, always check your school's website, they might be some important updates you don't know about.
Thanks and God bless us all!!!

Gurus in the house, please I have a question. From all the comments I have been seeing on this post, I observed people are choosing at least 2 institutions. So, my question is this: can't one focus only on one Institution if that is one's choice? Also will choosing only one institutions without an extra one affect someone's visa success by the VO?

They are independent events.

The strength of your application when compared to other applications is the major determinant of funding.

Is this for the US? as this not common practise in the USA. Most schools the transcript is enough

Attested mean not original copies but certified copies of a document . Usually you can take your documents to the courts and have it attested . So i am guessing this school still wants to your certificate but not original incase it get lost in the post so send an attested copy

When you are not sure , always check google for the meaning . Document Attestation means that the document had been verified by an authorized individual or official
