]Thank you Sir.

I think some see it as a taboo to criticise Rohr, forgetting that Nigerians have seen different super eagles foreign mangers like Father Tiko,Otto Gloria,Manfred Hoener,Clemens Westerhoff, Bonfrere Jo,Phillipe Trousier,Thijs Libreght,Berti Vogts.

On Agbo continue invitation i still repeat it something is fishing and only Rohr can explain what is really going on,nobody else.

I have constantly criticised rohr on this thread....but recently I decided to give him some time...believing that is conservative attitude may prove helpful afterwards....

but now I think....it is taken to far...especially as regards taking risks wit players selection and fieldin in players....

I must say....he has done well over the few months he has been in charge...but I believe he could have done better considering the supports and autonomy he enjoys....

I still remember during March 2014 fifa free window...keshi only got Mexico to play...
the nff were never this serious....

one those matches we just played could have been used for this fringe players....
trying tactics can come during the Congo, England and Czech friendlies.....

Rohr messed up big time

God bless you bro. Immediately I read that Ebuehi had groin injury, I said to myself what's this groin, groin I've been hearing about since forever. I checked the meaning of groin and I shook my head.
Yesterday in the heat of the argument with my fellow eagulians I kept emphasing two points: the human body is not a machine and I asked another the meaning of groin injury. But I was baffled that them began to talk like they've never been sick and recovered forever in their lives. They took a mechanical view of the whole thing. At a point i wanted to tell them that how I wish we could get the perspective of a footballer cos experience is the best teacher. Never knew you are one. Nobody could argue against the fact that the boy was recovering from an injury. He even winced in pain and he was hesitant in making tackles.

Criticism should be fair. It should not just be for the purpose of scoring cheap points or taking pot shots at the coach as was disappointingly done yesterday.
The Law kai you are still on it.

I played the game very well and to declare a player fit for a match is not something done by the coach but medical team.

If a player is certified fit, coach will asked the player can you do it and if the player say Yes,then the player don't have any excuse for poor performance.

I know if Serbia match was official, nobody would give excuse for Ebuehi performance.

I'm sure you're one of those folks that will never accept that Joel really flopped big time in his previous spell in SE... A chance of such magnitude, but he was too ordinary to utilize it. But you're always ready to get at any length to lament about Ighalo's "woes" and "inabilities".

Stop talking as if we have a Xavi and Inieata in midfield, Mr. Ighalo is a proven striker. Really funny how You mention Dessers and co. A Dessers that's struggling for game time at a lowly Utrecht.

No striker in this world would ever find his feet with the current crop of SE midfielders who are only equivalent to amateurs whenever Mikel is not present in the fold. This speech of yours is totally out if place, I must say.

SMH @your first paragraph.

To the best of my knowledge, Ighalo has only missed two games in which Mikel didn't play and those matches are the last 2 friendly matches.

The present SEs under Rohr has been creating more chances compared to their predecessors. So you have no excuse for him. Even with Mikel in the team, the burden of goal scoring has been carried and shared by our Wingers and Midfielders and it is not as if he is giving assists.

Lastly. you sound like someone who is insecured. because nowhere in my post did I say Ighalo should be dropped. I only stated need for re-inforcement and on Joel Obi, I have not even said anything on his recent performance in the GWG yet you drew that powerful conclusion based on assumption.

Why is he Obagoal expired Too old, not good enough. Don't just make emotive noise based on prejudice. But give your reasons.

I am sure you must watch numerous football analysts on TV. And the first question that comes up is your current form not your past form.

Defoe was excellent for Sunderland and a definite for the world cup last season but injury has put him out of reckoning. England will not take an off form striker to the World cup infact most serious countries will not.

I do agree that Cyril Dresser should be tested before selected and has far more justification for a call up than Junior Ajayi. Is Dresser prolific is he better than Obagoal younger definitely but better

The Eredivisie is ranked in world football lower than the Chinese league. In addition the Eredivisie is the easiest league to score in among the top twenty football leagues in Europe.

You forgot to include... your statement is devoid of substance!! Lol. Why do we like to recycled player? I just don’t understand at all. You forgot that Martin performed woefully When he was invited to the team by stephen Keshi. He nor even fit trap ball.. he just dey run upanda for field like musa.

Sir goalkeeper win matches check Ikeme against Zambia, Ezenwa against Angola and Ajiboye against Sudan.

Better to have solid keeper.

Your write-up is the 20%. That's why I said I agree 80%.

You forgot to mention the games we lost despite that our keepers were very good. Example: the last 3 games we lost to Argentina at the world cup despite our keepers being so good

A good defence with bad keeper can win more matches than a good keeper with bad defence.

With a bad defence, the good keeper will stop most goal bound attempt but one of those may go in. Conversely, with a bad keeper, the opponent may not have any attempt on target with a very good defence.

England will not take an off form striker to the World Cup ? And welbeck is being called up for last friendly ?

After harry Kane and Jamie vardy, who is the highest scoring English striker ? Callum Wilson and glen murray, but they didn't call any of them, abeg if you want make example no use england, welbeck that has scored only 3 goals this season

They have two top strikers already.

Welbeck comes in as support and or wing play. Welbeck has never really been an out and out striker.

If you check the above list of players you'll find out that they play in your so called "BACKWATER LEAGUES" and don't forget that these same players make up the core of the SE.

So, having seen this, why do we make exception rules to other Nigeria players performing in the same leagues as the players given above? Is that not double standard?

We are too quick to run down some monikers here who clamour for the inclusion of players from these same leagues.

It is a known fact that the difference between our players playing in the top 5 leagues across europe and those in the BackWater Leagues is opportunity.

Finally, I won't be reeling out names. Another week of club football is around, our players will be back in action again and I trust Sir. Tbaba1234 to give us updates. Till then na siddon look mode I de.

you know quite well that we lack strikers , infact the world as a whole lack strikers . a lot of them were been given an opportunity but they ve failed . if we must do well , we must respect the decision of the present coach of the super eagles . dont be suprise to see the line up against Poland as our starting line up in the world cup proper .... the only addition you will see is mikel , and probably some addition to the bench . its too late to start introducing untested strikers with no SPECIAL TALENT or EXCEPTIONAL ACHIEVEMENT the world cup is around the corner , if you think of a better striker , think of the time to blend well into the team .... the IGHALO OF today is better than the Nwakeme you can be clamouring for .

Ighalo had a storming season before last that's why he earning $300k a week in China, not $5k a month in Egypt.

If Umar was so good he wouldn't leave Seria A to Belguim to find level,

Being a local champions in your villa doesn't make you a champions when you come to the city. Egyptian league is simply not good enough as a testing ground for quality. Particularly when there are far more other deserving players.

Gabriel Okechukwu Awka United unproven untested adding the context of the World cup unwarranted for now. Invite him to camp as encouragement for local league. But from what I seen written here nobody consider him good enough yet, just you.

Before you kick a ball for the national you must prove and justify your selection by consistent continous and current top performances in your club. Anything else is open to abuse and subjective judgement based on personal preference not merit.

I believe this friendly would have been more useful if the fringe players were left to play...
by so doing who knows we would have found capable replacements for some roles like the striker or midfield role....
against Serbia...watching them being unable to make single pass upfront and the striker couldn't convert one of the few chances he got....leave me worried more....

Ebuehi it seems after declaring himself fit became unfit on account of his poor game. Going by what has been said here. Unless we have official corroboration it us simply hearsay without any substance.

His mistakes were not about physicality but poor judgement and wring positioning. So I do not buy those propositions you make.

We certainly need a player of this caliber to drive attack. He will bench S. Moses, Musa, and Onazi.

Just imagine Moses from the right, Iwobi from AM, Sone Aluko from the left, and Mikel obi from CM. We will be deadly.

3 things Rohr is presently doing wrong:

1. Playing Iwobi on the wings instead from the middle

2. Being too conservative

What should Everton do with Henry Onyekuru?

Everton has a welcoming dilemma on their hands as it concerns youngster Henry Onyekuru. The Nigerian is back in training after almost three injury-ravaged months on loan at Anderlecht. Will he continue rehabilitation at Finch Farm or be sent back to Belgium?
Of all Toffees’ foreign summer arrivals Onyekuru seems the most astute piece of business even without kicking a ball for the club. Sandro Ramirez couldn’t wait another summer before jumping back to Spain. Davy Klaassen, who did, was left without any choice after a Napoli switch fell through at the last hurdle. Nikola Vlasic is a Goodison Park ghost. He has made just one appearance in 2018.

Unlike those three Onyekuru wasn't given the chance to prove his worth in Everton blue. Work permit issues forced the 20-year-old to spend the season elsewhere. Having blossomed in the Jupiler League before being plucked for a £7 million fee from KAS Eupen, where he had been top scorer, it was logical to send him back to the same environment. Until he was injured, it had proven a masterstroke.

He conveyed his rich vein of form to Anderlecht. Fourteen starts yielded an impressive 10 goals. Having knocked in 23 in 42 for Eupen, Onyekuru was on fire. In truth he began quite modestly, failing to find the target in his first four outgoings at the Constant Vanden Stock. Even when his teammates appeared mediocre on Champions League nights, Onyekuru distinguished himself. He was the sole shining light in purple and white.

With innate ability to play as a winger on either flank and as a central striker, he was wherever Anderlecht needed him to be. His goals in Belgium have displayed his multiple skills. He has beaten defenders with blazing acceleration, ghosted through crowds with magical close control, and rounded keepers with calm and cool.

Although not the strongest, Onyekuru is blessed with incredible craft and pace to run directly at defenders. He uses his quick feet to escape opposing players before exploding into space. His work attracted interest beyond Everton. Even Toffees faithful were calling for his return.
Unfortunately tragedy struck. Onyekuru broke his knee and appeared to be out for the season's remainder. His World Cup dreams evaporated. In January he returned to Merseyside to begin rehabilitation. Despite the knock he still picked up Belgium's Young Player of the Year award, reflecting his superb impact.

Contrary to expectations Onyekuru is already back on his feet. The 20-year-old didn’t go under the knife. He recuperated under the watchful eyes of Everton's medical staff. There is concern the decision to forego surgery was risky.

Onyekuru seems desperate to play for Everton next season. The Toffees are even more eager to unleash their young Nigerian. To do so still requires a work permit, obtainable only if he plays for the Super Eagles in Russia. To be selected he must prove his fitness at Anderlecht. Despite his progress that seems unlikely. Worst case scenario, Onyekuru will spend the rest of the campaign recovering with Everton, then be farmed out on loan again for another year. It will be heartbreaking for the lad but it's the most realistic option.

What Nigeria needs now is a striker like Aghahowa.. He scores goals whether he is assisted or not.. haha
How about we beg him to call off his retirement?

AIG07:
Odion Jude Ighalo.
Gernot Rohr's first choice Striker.

Can anyone remind me of the national teams Jude has scored against excluding Cameroon and Luxembourg?

The memories of him scoring in the GWG were: an header against Cameroon in an international friendly match in 2015 and a well placed goal after shaking of another cameronian in a WCQ match played in 2017.

If I'm to go by his stats in the GWG, I don't expect him to be our messiah in Russia.

Looking at the bench for a capable replacement for him leaves one dejected. As there is no one to call on when things don't go as planned. We might just be towing the same path of Keshi's 2014 world cup team. How? We took a less inform and goal drought experiencing Emmanuel Emenike to the World Cup as our main point man, backing him with another toothless striker in Shola Ameobi and expecting both players to perform a miracle by doing the impossible. Alas, we all knew how it all ended.

Emenike and Ighalo seems to be the same kind of players. They're flash in the pan and inconsistent. Enough of these: he brings more to the team than scoring goals, enough of all these 'hold up plays', pressing ability etc... The first and main role of a 9 or striker is to put the ball into the net. All other things a striker brings are just additional.

Finally, if we must do well, we need two potent point, Clinical and unforgiving Strikers who can atleast convert 1 out of every 3 chances created.
