The point you brought on Ebuehi. I was surprised nobody brought that point.. There is also a psychological side just coming from an injury.. I didn't want to join in on that argument.. on the whole Aina should have been brought in earlier. In fact before the friendly a few of us posited here that we needed to make lots of substitutions early enough.. Rohr didn't do that. bengine: |

BascoVanVeli: So you are saying is sole job is to be man marking..who are you going to man mark at the world cup especially as a left back, you need to be sharp and be able to deal with any threat on your side..he was ok against algeria, made a few tackles that's all..he offered nothing apart from that..modern day LB and RB are required to contribute a lot to the game..can't u see what Shehu does for us. If Echiejile offers half of that, I won't be criticizing him...against cameroun, balogun covered for him a lot..against technical and tactical teams at the world cup, they would exploit echiejile to the fullest.. All have been asking so far is what does Echiejile truly offer the SE presently, we can point any RB on that team and point out what they offer.. 2 Likes |

Joebie: D cancer won't make him a rookie,he would b only match rusty, just few practice matches in training coupled with 2/3 consecutive games,he would be 50percent OK,and once he's 50percent OK,he would b better Dan uzoho ,even if d latter doesn't sleep at all,all he does his training |

I think if we looked at the team's performance overtime, we would be able to come up with sound logical observations.. Else we'd be moving from one extreme judgement to the other as a result of varying match outcomes. Super Eagles have become a very bad team all of a sudden.. okay! Humility017: 1 Like |

It's not like Ikeme was a spectacular keeper when he was hale and hearty. Ikeme on his good day is above average -- not taking anything away from him. elyte89: |

Joebie: nobody is judging the team.... we all are making suggestions on how the team can ne better improved... or do you like the current state of the team...where they can rarely create a single goal scoring opportunity upfront ? likewise the strikers mis use goal scoring chances....? stop trying to act indifferent.....if you're truly a fan of this team....you will agree that there is something that needs to be done..... 1 Like |

MetalJigsaw:and You're comfortable with that? why settle for average when the best is attainable? we need to work on that seriously and also try out a striker who can better manage this few chances.....trust me nothing can be more frustrating to having a wasteful striker who fails to convert begging chances... |

The team will not fail in Russia rohr that i knw don't have time experimenting with new player unless u top top talent like Joel obi I'm sure ajayi must have work his sock off to get 3 minute cameo can u see how nwakaeme was harshly dropped from the team even if dessers get invited he will hardly get game time |

Humility017:thank you o.....if Desserts as young as he is, cannot get an invite, it is now old man Aluko that Rohr will invite We are in greater need of a striker than a midfielder or winger. If Rohr needs a winger, he can always revert to Onyekuru that he knows is capable. He doesn't need to dust up Aluko's CV |

I believe we all saw Flavour Uchebo's YouTube clips before the last world cup. I reckon this world cup will not be too different from the last one from a Nigerian perspective. We never learn. Calling for new players a "night" before the world cup. |

safarigirl:I disagree. We need creativity. Someone that can slide a through ball. Nacho is a superb finisher. Ighalo contrary to what is being said isn't that bad at holding up play. His link up play is ok. If we can get both - fine. But a midfielder is very crucial. |

Mujtahida: Omaye .... Me I no dey your back for this one o!.. Once declared fit for a match and you play, the jury is out on you. The jury will careless about any lingering pains you might still have which can inhibit your game a little. So even when declared fit when you know within yourself that you are not yet up to 100% fitness and running... Baba you will do yourself a world of good if you declare yourself unfit for the match so that your spot will be given to a fit player and save yourself from embarrassment while maintaining your dignity. Just look at how many folks once hailing Ebuehi here are now calling for his head including Muah ... . All because according to you,' he isn't fit'.. Ebuehi was far below standard on the night, it could be due to recuperation.., it could be due to fitness, ...it could be due to ability... Heck! It could be due to one reason or the other BUT read my lips.... THE FANS DON'T CARE!!!... All we know is that Ebuehi was atrocious that night, his wing let in two goals, and we will not condone such a performance.. NEVER!! |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by bengine: 6:25am On Mar 31, 2018 |
Mujtahida: Groin is a nasty injury...for those that don't know groinn, its the muscle that separates your thighs from your blocus...a mild groin won't stop you from running at full speed, its the stretching or routines that requires quick snaps that gets you...there was no way Ebuehi healed that groin fully in 3weeks but I guess he didn't want someone else to be invited in his place for the friendly..same thing as what etebo did..they wanna force themselves play the friendly.. 1 Like |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by bengine: 6:53am On Mar 31, 2018 |
Kog45: Bro Ebuehi performance wasn't the best..I think he played with fear and was a little hesitant..you remember Ebuehi failed last minute test b4 his last game for club. The medical team makes you stretch your muscles and give you some routine that if you are hiding injury, they would discover it. I'm sure that his muscle is at least 80% healed but he doesn't have to be at 100% to pass a fitness test bro..I have passed so much fitness test because I wan play and I know I'm not at 100%.. groin injury is pretty unique, if you have hamstring, them no born u well, how you wan run. If you have ankle injury, how u wan shoot or pass..if you have thigh injury how u wan pass or run...but if you have MILD groin, you could pass a fitness test..mild groin doesn't stop you from running or shooting or passing..its when you stretch or snap tackle, that's when u engage those crazy muscles..i doubt Ebuehi was at 100% knowing how groin injuries operate..there is no way he pulled those muscles 2 weeks ago and he is back at 100%.. |
