please talk what you know...bro.

Rohr has gotten the full support that I don't think any other coach in SE history have gotten.

I'm sure if he fails, then he'll have no excuse and he'll do the honorable thing

It all stems from an issue of settlement hr didn't understand the culture of settlement. Or to be honest he simply refused.
Ive always had this "settlement" ish as one of several reasons for non invitation. But I'll make it the major reason I suspect for no Aluko show. Seriously!

Wilfred Ndidi Responds To Liverpool Link, Speaks On 'Clown' Iheanacho

Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi has reacted to speculation linking him with a summer move to Liverpool.
As previously reported by this website, The Reds may be looking to sign the Super Eagles star but have not directly approached the midfielder and Leicester City.

''I don’t think about this. Any move to a bigger club will take care of itself if I keep doing my thing,'' said Ndidi to The Sun UK.

The Nigeria internationals at Leicester City increased by one when the club snapped up Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City last summer which tickled the fancy of Ndidi.

The central midfielder explained : ''I was happy when he signed because I knew Kelechi from the Nigeria Under-17s and Under-20s.

''He is a big character, he is the team’s fashion man, funny man and music man all in one.''

The Nath Boys product has started every single game played by Leicester City in the Premier League this term and has won 80 tackles, more than any other player in the topflight.

Wolfsburg Defender Uduokhai Rated 50-50 To Switch Allegiance To Nigeria From Germany

The chances of German-Nigerian defender Felix Uduokhai switching allegiance to Nigeria from Germany has been rated 50-50 by top German journalist Mark Roland.

20 year old Uduokhai joined Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in the summer from second division side 1860 Munich, and he has acquitted himself successfully to the demands of the top flight league in Germany.

With three caps to his name for Germany at U20 level, Uduokhai who also played for Germany at U19 level reportedly met with coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr during his last visit to Germany.

” Talks were held over a possible switch of allegiance to Nigeria. Remember he confirmed it to the press when he was first approached by Nigeria. This time around it looked like it ended on a promising note”, Mark told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” I think he stands a 50-50 chance of switching allegiance to Nigeria. It’s not easy for some of these youngsters, so they usually take their time before committing their future to another country, bar their country of birth”.

ANS earlier (like four days ago or so) spoke of a English born/bred-Nigerian who the NFF were engaging during the international break apart from Tosin Kehinde... could this be him? Ah well... still all in the realm of speculations

Highly Rated Chelsea Teen Star Ike Ugbo Hints At Switching Allegiance To Nigeria From England

England could be on the verge of losing one of their youth international to Nigeria following moves by Nigeria to lure talented forward Ike Ugbo to switch allegiance to them.

Already Manchester United fast rising midfielder Tosin Kehinde has committed his future to Nigeria, and even met with coach Gernot Rohr before the Super Eagles game against Serbia in London.

Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that Kehinde wasn’t the only Anglo-Nigerian who had a chat with officials of the Nigerian team as Ike Ugbo, widely viewed by many as one of the brightest prospect in the Chelsea youth set up also met with officials of the Nigeria Football Federation during the week.

It is believed that productive talks were held with the 19 year old forward, who scored a total of 63 goals in 102 appearances for Chelsea at U-18, U-19 and U23 level.

His form led to a new improved contract at Chelsea, and it will see him remain at Stamford Bridge till the summer of 2021. A sign of how well they view him as a part of the future of the club.

Presently out on loan to League one side MK Don, 19 year old Ugbo, who spent the second half of last season on loan to Barnsley has represented England at U-17 and 20 level.

Ex-Eaglet Chukwueze Eyes Villarreal First Team After Bagging Hat-trick For U-19s

Former Nigeria U-17 star Samuel Chukwueze scored a hat-trick and bagged an assist for Villarreal’s U-19 team as they demolished UCAM Murcia 8-3 in a Division de Honor Juvenil clash on Friday to take his tally to seven goals this season.

The 19-year-old midfielder who has been in an impressive form provided the assist as his team beat Elche 1-0 last weekend and followed that up with yet another brilliant display as he scored one goal in the first-half. He added two more in the second half to help his team complete the rout in the Spanish youth league clash.

Speaking after the game, Chukwueze, who moved to Spain after a £1.5m move to Arsenal fell through at the last minute, said he has moved on from what transpired with Arsenal and is fully focused on doing his best to break into the senior team at Villarreal.

“I’m happy to score my first hat-trick and help my team win. It wasn’t an easy match but we worked hard and deserved to win,” the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner said.

“I feel great playing with Villarreal’s team C and under 19s but I’m looking forward to making my debut for the first team. I’m working hard and listening to the coaches and I’m learning a lot from them.”

Ighalo Misses Penalty As Changchun Yatai Lose At Home
By James Agberebi

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo missed from the penalty spot as his club Changchun Yatai continued to look for their first league win of the new season following their dramatic 2-1 home loss to Guangzhou R and F on Saturday.
Changchun Yatai player Rui Yu was sent off deep into added time in the encounter.
Ighalo, who was in action for the Super Eagles in their two friendly games against Poland and Serbia, failed to give Changchun Yatai the lead after missing a 12th minute penalty.
Changchun Yatai still went on to take the lead thanks to Xiaofei Zhang in the 61st minute.
In the 78th minute, Eran Zahavi equalised for Guangzhou R and F.

And in the 97th minute, Guangzhou R and F were awarded a penalty which was scored by Renatinho following a foul by Yu which led to a straight red card.

Changchun Yatai had the chance to salvage a draw from the game after they were also awarded a penalty of their own on 99 minutes but Zhenyu Du missed.

Changchun Yatai have now failed to win in four straight league games since the commencement of the new campaign (two defeats, two draws).

They are now 14th on two points in the 16-team Chinese Super League table.
The game was Ighalo’s fourth in the league this season, scoring just one goal so far.

Had Poland been given that goal, their confidence would have increased and ours reduce; the result been at least a 2:0 scoreline

In the viewing centre where I saw both matches, I defended our players against angry fans but I could only do so much because we couldn't even hold possession.

We couldn't pass and we left ndidi to work like a black slave that arrived from Africa to the shores of America in the 1700s

And it was only a matter of time before the defence caved in (against Serbia)

Why can't Aluko and Dessert be classed together. They both haven't played any competitive game for GWG.

Aluko played 6times and got two goals. And he didn't play all minutes in those games. Why is he always overlooked. If you wanna tell me he ain't good enough, you'll need to try very very hard. It's like Rohrs is over looking Championship players and that's not good.

Obi have played 11straight games for GWG and wasn't a goal threat atall in all of those straight games. In Total he has 14caps and still no goals. Not using goals to judge him, but you're making me do so.

So why not Aluko? why?

have you ever seen Dessers in a Nigerian jersey? How can you then classify him with someone that is recorded as a Nigerian international? undecided

Aluko, Martins, Joel, each of these guys have been in the Super Eagles set up at some time, so, they can be classified under the same category

However, the likes of Dessers, Beyreuther and co have never played for Nigeria, and so, they have no prior experience with NFF or any footballing body in Nigeria and do not belong in the same group as those others

Reading Coach Clement Hails Aluko For “Fantastic Goal” Vs QPR
By James Agberebi

Reading FC’s new manager Paul Clement has described Nigeria forward Sone Aluko’s goal in their 1-0 Championship home win against Queens Park Rangers on Friday as fantastic.

Aluko ended his four-month goal drought by giving Reading a 13th minute lead to kick off Clement’s reign with a win.

The victory saw struggling Reading halt their nine-game winless league run which led to the sacking of Manchester United great Jaap Stam.

Clement, who was a former assistant manager at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, said Aluko’s goal was reward for Reading’s positive start to the game against QPR.

“We started brightly and we fully deserved to go ahead…it was a fantastic goal,” Clement told Reading’s official website.

“After that, the team went a bit negative – I think that’s normal under the circumstances, to try and go safe and go defensive. We had a poor period then and we spoke about those things at half-time.

“And it was a battling performance overall. I was expecting them to put in a shift and they did.
“So we have to say ‘well done’ to the players, for all the effort they put in over the week and their focus on today’s game.
“And we got the three points we needed. With the way that the other results went, it has been a good weekend for us so far.
“But this is just the start. We’ve got seven more games, and every game has got to be at least like that… and maybe even better.”
Reading are now 19th on 39 points in the 24-team Championship table.

Out Of Favour Super Eagles Striker Aaron Samuel Amkar Perm To Win With Brace Against Lokomotiv Moscow

Russian side Amkar Perm had their loan recruit Aaron Samuel to thank as his brace helped them to a 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow as the Russian Premier League returns after the international break.
The Nigerian joined Amkar Perm on loan from fellow Russian side CSKA Moscow during the January transfer window, and the striker who scored just once in seven games for CSKA in the first half of the league has already doubled his tally in just three games for his new side.

Aaron netted his first goal via the spot in the 48th minute to draw his team level, before grabbing his brace eleven minutes later to seal a morale boosting win for his side. He was substituted to a standing ovation in the 69th minute.

Dropped from the squad of the Super Eagles after failing to make an impression when he was first invited by coach Gernot Rohr, he will be hoping to maintain his goal scoring form to force his way back into the plans of the coach ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

Russian-Nigerian defender Brian Idowu who played in both friendly games for the Super Eagles against Poland and Serbia respectively, was on for the entire duration of the game.

Wolves blog: Carl Ikeme one of our own
By Tom Tracey

While one Wolves battle is entering its final fixtures, this week we got a reminder of another, even tougher battle.

The picture of Carl Ikeme and a Nigerian delegation released by their nation’s FA was the first picture we’ve seen of Carl for some time.

Any update about Carl’s condition is great to hear and to see him standing there, smiling and looking well, was heartening.

The photo, in which the group is presenting Carl with a signed Nigeria shirt, is presumably taken from his hospital room in Manchester, where he is receiving treatment.

Nigeria have offered for him to become their guest of honour when the Super Eagles face England at Wembley in a pre-World Cup friendly in June.

With Dave Edwards now having left, Carl and Danny Batth are the two left at the club who embody Wolves.
After a spate of loans, Ikeme managed to assert himself as Wolves’ senior keeper, whilst also managing to gather ten caps for Nigeria since 2015, where he also seems to have a loyal following of supporters.

The big man broke through to become Wolves’ number one in Wolves’ Championship relegation season but it was his part in the League One title win, when Wolves managed 25 clean sheets (22 kept by Carl), where he became endeared to the Wolves fans.

It is not just his goalkeeping ability – it is his down-to- earth, likeable nature and his passion that people are naturally drawn to.
Aside from a bit of jostling from Tomasz Kuszczak, Emi Martinez, Andy Lonergan and Harry Burgoyne, he has nailed down that spot from then on until last summer’s acute leukaemia diagnosis.

We haven’t been given a timescale for Carl and any potential return, but the club showed their support in giving him the number one shirt for the season – and everyone in football, not just Wolves, is rooting for him.

We are now 38 league games into his absence, and it is still hard felt – but whether it is a situation like Sir Jack’s death or Carl’s illness, Wolves fans will always rally round and show their support for one of their own in any way they can.
With eight games to go in the season, you would get very good odds on Wolves not finishing the job they have so remarkably done for eight months – and you would imagine, regardless of whether he is ready to return, Carl Ikeme will next summer be named in Wolves’ squad as a Premier League goalkeeper again.

Whilst this last batch of games for Wolves is a pivotal time, it was important to get a reminder of what really matters and remember Carl’s personal battles with the disease that have been ongoing for the best part of a year.

How nice would it be, if and when Wolves finally do lift the Championship trophy and if it is possible, if Carl is there.
Despite being unable to play a part on the field, Wolves will no doubt have gathered strength in wanting to do Carl proud this season.
There really is only one Carl Ikeme.

Obafemi Martins with a hatrick
Aaron Samuel with a brace
Sone Aluko with a goal.
Forgiveness just told his clients not to fall his hand and they are really working hard to support his ministry.
Meanwhile d clamour for invitation of new players has just began and we are expecting more

Brighton vs Leicester

Ndidi starts in midfield alongside Iborra.

Iheanacho makes the bench. Seems he passed the late fitness test or so.

Imagine, so because he passed a late fitness test doesn't mean that arm doesn't hurt...you can pass a fitness test and not be at 100%..this is the message we have been educating this thread with..the fear of the pain is what restricts your game..depending on what injury you are recovering from, it could really hamper your abilities to play at full potential..
