D law, every one here knws including u,dt we need to add 2 to 3 players to dis squad most esp d A.M and to a large extent C.F...and I would still want AMBROSE TO B GIVEN A LOOK IN at d back grin grin

Agreed.

What I am saying is not automatic selection but testing and assessment and let the best players come in.

What could be more objective than that.

I remember certain Roger Miller a true old man over forty that became the toast of the 1990 World cup.

But players we are talking about are putting in consistent performances in top clubs not backwater clubs and leagues.

Gbam!...the mundial is set with this your list.

The coach and his technical crew should try not to tamper with the unity of this team;they started this journey together and it as been a success for the team so far. Those calling for the invitation of other players I say, it's too late for a trial. The coach should focus on developing this set of players thereby assessing their strength and weaknesses.

You are wrong there is no amount of training in effect not more than 4 weeks will turn Musa into a Mbappe or KC into muscle head with speed that will bully top central defenders in the World Cup.

You are dreaming you can't create what you don't have. And certainly not in 4 weeks of training.

You bring your quality and unique points of ability the coach fuses them into a formidable unit with cohesion and tactical astuteness.

Good players make a winning team not the coach makes poor players good.

Sorry not happening only in Hollywood or Nollywood this is not a movie.

We have Iwobi and Mikel.. but if Rohr looks Alukos way, good for him.. but he'll have Iwobi to battle with. How about that?

Competition is always a good thing.. maybe when Mikel retires.. Aluko will not be too old for Qatar

have you actually seen Iwobi performing very well as an AMF? or is that just an assumption you made? Same assumption was made regarding Iheanacho and the rest is history

Ive always had this "settlement" ish as one of several reasons for non invitation. But I'll make it the major reason I suspect for no Aluko show. Seriously!

You don't bring raba, even if you're Messi, GWG you no go smell

You never know when anonymity is lost so let me make it clear we are Nigerians.

We know what happens

Aluko simply did not concede to demands from a particular official and his supportive cronies all in the NFF. From that point he was frozen out.

Why

Me and you know okay, even Brazil already know their World Cup first 15 players,I am not God but I am very sure Aluko will not go to the World Cup...are we going to kill our self here over a championship player ?

I am sure if we have a bad World Cup you and forgiveness will be the first person to blame the coach, and if Aluko plays bad you will also be the first person to call for the invite of new player

you are so quick to poach reasonable peeps on these thread...when there lies no wisdom in your words.....

why not talk straight to the young lady than start pour out empty advise....you can't even give to yourself....

so...regarding that you wrote..if aluko was that good why is he still in the championship?
or probably epl clubs refused sign him because he opt play for Nigeria.

you guys talk here...as if the rest of us don't watch football at all.....
a good player don't stay in the championship for over a season...same championship tega wrote his name on the platter of gold...and only to get play in the epl the next season...

only in your imagination...aluko better than 4,5 6 super eagles players.....

sometimes prior your write up...tell yourself those words you put up in your first paragraph....you need it more.

TOTALLY WRONG

I can name 10 players who chose the championship over the premiership. If I do will you apologise and eat humble pie

Bournemouth wanted him for sure.

He chose Reading believing thay they would be back in the EPL which they narrowly missed. And pocketed :-& £1 million in the course of the deal. At times money talks players walk.

Unfortunately Reading have lost thier managers and thier way.

On the other hand looks like Fulham are on the way to the EPL. He chose the £££ it happens it's football.

Apart from Mikel tell me the players who are better than him in the position he plays or can play And let's have an objective every one involved discourse on the subject.

Don't be deceived any player who choose to stay in the championship over a move to the EPL is simply because they are most times needed as back-up, rotational players in most of these EPL clubs, They are never promised important first team roles, so staying in the championship getting games would be in ideal for them.
Well I'm not one to judge based on a game so I can tell you in my opinion players like Iwobi, etebo, Joel obi can hold in the AM position.
Aluko is very inconsistent with poor stats, nice technique but low end product, it's about time you stop making excuses for him and let his performances speak for himself, funny considering your the one always preaching double standards.
Our team is one of the youngest in the world, a team full of potential for the future, that's what everyone in the footballing world has acknowledged. how do you want us to move forward when you cannot let go of the past? You are calling for martins, aluko etc these guys are given the chance to prove themselves to be useful experience but they do not bring anything more exceptional than what we have which can significantly improve the team.

I'm not scared for any player missing out.. isn't it the best we all want?.. Let the best be chosen for the 23 man list shekina.

Bros min you know say you be egbon for this thread and I for one respect all your views.

But I beg to disagree on the fans you said act like they're in a market.

You see bros, you said just one match but to me, we performed worse in the first match.

Had Poland been given that goal, their confidence would have increased and ours reduce; the result been at least a 2:0 scoreline

Bros, talk true; even you dey disappointed with their display.

In the viewing centre where I saw both matches, I defended our players against angry fans but I could only do so much because we couldn't even hold possession.

We couldn't pass and we left ndidi to work like a black slave that arrived from Africa to the shores of America in the 1700s

The midfield exposed the defence to relentless attacks from the opposition.

And it was only a matter of time before the defence caved in (against Serbia)

See, I'm not in support of calling every chukwuma, ciroma or even adekunle into our present SE team.

But you see, a few "big boys" need to loose their supposedly "assured spot" in the team for competition to thrive. Musa wey we don dey invite since, how many goals or assists can he boast. How many successfully completed tackles can Mikel agu boast off.

Bros, you sef think am
my bro nobody can deny that we didnt play well ooo. it was a far cry from our standards. even the absence of mikel is not an an excuse for playing that bad. but we should be calm. its not that these guys dont have it in them. they do but the coach has to find a way to bring it out of them. i am not particularly happy that we have to depend on mikel so much. they said we need experienced guys but it is only mikel who uses his experience to lift the play of the team. all the other experienced players cannot do it. shey you see that its not just experience. its ability, its character. why does the team play well even beautifully when mikel is available and in his absence they become like lost children.its a credit to mikel but a shame on the team that they cannot play in his absence. the burden ma is too much if onazi, ighalo and musa cannot bolster the team in the absence of mikel

our best bet is to go with the players we have. we are flirting with an idea that has never worked in the past.

The difference. Manu's experience with Iheanacho is in the U17s. Sisia's experience with Iwobi was when he first started out in the Super Eagles. By the way, Iwobi says he is most comfortable playing there.. and we've seen that he is more deadly in SE colors playing from the middle and not the wings. Have u ever seen Iwobi dribble for pull out a beautiful cross from the flanks, or done a tricky cut in for that matter?.. come to think of it.

They say ...
"I believe he is going to make his mark. He is from Nigeria and we all support him and love him. He is the star we are looking for."
Nwankwo Kanu, former Arsenal and Nigeria forward

"What I see in [Iwobi] is a creative player who has a high work-rate and a good team spirit. He can play on the flanks, he can play through the middle, he’s a very interesting player."
Arsène Wenger, Arsenal manager

"He is versatile and that's a massive attribute because forwards don't normally have that 360 vision that you need in midfield."
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal captain
