The rate at which Young Nigerians sign up for Military career is really sweet.
Even in the face of dangerous Terrorists... Military forms are still getting over overpopulated with applicants.

If you think this is due to unemployment, my friend, you need to think again.

Nigeria, good people, great nation ! cool
young people are joining because they can't get a job.

If you no sabi person sef,you won't be chosen

These is really bad and the Nigeria army can't do anything.

Why not transfer him to the Nigerian airforce medical team? They've got good medical facility to address such.

Al Shabaab attacks African Union base in Somalia

MOGADISHU, April 1 (Reuters) - Islamist insurgents battled for hours on Sunday with African Union troops after exploding a car bomb outside their base, Somali police, military and the militants said.

Al Shabaab militants attacked the African Union (AU) peacekeepers’ base in the town Bulamarer, 130 kilometres southwest of the capital Mogadishu, around 9 a.m. local time, residents from the area told Reuters.

Since withdrawing from Mogadishu in 2011, the al Qaeda-linked group has lost control of most of Somalia’s cities and towns. But it still retains a strong presence in regions outside the capital.

The militants initially detonated two suicide car bombs that hit one AU vehicle and one Somali military vehicle, Somali army major Farah Osman, who is stationed near the AMISOM (African Union Mission in Somalia) base, said.

“Then a large number of al Shabaab fighters began firing from under the trees ... it was a hellish battle,” he said, adding there was an unknown number of casualties.

Militants on foot then attacked nearby villages, said Ali Nur, deputy governor of the Lower Shabelle region where the base is located. “They were repulsed, but all these attacks were to stop reinforcement.”

The phone of the spokesman for the AMISOM force based in Mogadishu was switched off on Sunday and Reuters was unable to reach any other officials from the force for comment.

Abdiasis Abu Musab, a spokesman for al Shabaab said 14 of the group’s fighters and 59 AMISOM troops were killed in the incident.

Nur, the government official, said no soldiers from the Somali army were killed and was not sure if any AMISOM troops were killed.

A police major stationed in a nearby town also said two car bombs exploded outside the base before the al Shabaab fighters entered it.

Major Nur Ali told Reuters that Somali and AMISOM forces had attacked al Shabaab in rural areas near the base on Saturday night. “Then al Shabaab attacked this morning as a revenge,” he said.

CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF FETES FRONTLINE TROOPS IN NORTHEAST

Frontline personnel of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) currently serving in the Northeast and visiting members of their families have been treated to a special lunch by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, on 1 April 2018, in celebration of the Easter festivities. The CAS, who was represented at the occasion by the Commander Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Idi Lubo, commended the contributions of personnel towards prosecuting the fight against insurgency in the country and urged them not to rest on their oars. He said that although a lot of success had been recorded in the fight against Boko Haram Terrorists, the personnel needed to put more effort towards completely eradicating the menace. The representative of the CAS later had lunch with the other NAF frontline personnel serving in Yola.

At Yola, AVM Lubo thanked Air Marshal Abubakar for the kind gesture of facilitating the lunch. Addressing the troops after the lunch, the representative of the CAS commended the troops for their relentless efforts and sacrifices, which had greatly degraded the capability of the insurgents. He equally tasked the troops to redouble their efforts to ensure that the entire country, and the Northeast Region in particular, become a safer place for Nigerians.

AVM Lubo later presented the award of the Best Officer of the Quarter to Group Captain Samuel Eyoma, who is the Head of the Data Collection and Analysis Team in the Tactical Operation Centre. He then encouraged the Senior Officer to remain focused and diligent in the discharge of his duties. Likewise, he charged other personnel to emulate those qualities that won Group Captain Eyoma the award. The representative of the CAS also seized the opportunity to commission some projects at 103 Strike Group, aimed at enhancing the protection of NAF critical assets in NAF Base Yola.

The idea behind the special lunch with NAF frontline personnel, which has become a tradition since Air Marshal Abubakar became the CAS, is to sustain their morale towards enhancing operational effectiveness.

Good suggestion mate. But I don't know why they are doing that. Even if other arm of the military does have appropriate medical facility, they should fly him out of ghetto country and save his sight.

#Egypt- some pictures from Operation #Sinai2018. Seems that despite constant reminders, some lessons learned, namely tactical spacing, are consistently not implemented.
